When selecting a Personality the Menu still pops up so I have to hit the Cancel-Button and there's no Variations in the Dialogs. I have all the Requirements and using LPK'94.

I am in the middle of modifying the Lover's plugins for my personal taste. Changing dialog and menu names ... simple stuff like that. Done it successfully on all mods except this one. For some reason if I open this mod in TES construction set, set it active, make some changes, and then save it... the next time I open Oblivion it crashes on startup. Doesn't matter what I change. Simply adding a basic spell and then clicking save causes it. To fix I simply recover to the backup of the .esp file from before my change and the game boots fine. I am making sure to check the load order and put the voicessp back to where it should go since it moves once you click save. Just having no luck. Any idea's on why something like this would occur? Just wondering if there is something special about this mod that doesn't allow any kind of modification before I keep spinning my wheels trying to figure this out.

Grab and install the CS extender mod: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/36370 With those two rolling you should be fine making any alterations you want. Remember that if you change any scripts (or the messages in the scripts) that you will need to recompile them. The good thing about the CS extender is that you can actually hit the recompile all tool and it won't blow up your esp.

The extender mod is the piece I was missing and after installing it everything is working great when I modify this mod now! Just one question. As part of getting the CS Extender Mod installed I needed to update to the .0021 beta version of OBSE and the V132 version of Pluggy so that it wouldn't crash on open. Are you aware of any issues those beta versions of those items will cause me with Lovers items? Just want to make sure I just didn't mess 10 things up trying to fix 1.

yosyoy Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 After installing rev.LPK94 my game crashes everytime i try to use the be my lover part of loversvoicessp. the npc acepts and all functions are fine until the sex act. then the game crashes. I can have regular sex thru the adultplayplayssp options and no problem with the dialog at all. It just happens with the lover option. I don't use creatures so Donkeys' patch wouldn't be a solution I guess, since it applies to creatures.
gregathit Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 We don't provide any real support for revision94 of lovers with PK here. Right now it is limited to rev91 only. I am however, working my way through updating all plugins to work with rev96, but it will be a while until I get to lovers voice. Probably a month or longer, since I am the only one working on things. Either disable lovers voice, or revert to rev91 of lovers with PK. You "could" try to use rev96 to see if that fixes your crashes, but that is a long shot. Either way you go you'll need to start a new game or at the minimum make a clean save.

I don't know how to go about it. I did, however downloaded the 96 beta and the crashes are less frequent, but it does crash after 4 or so consecutive sex acts.
gregathit Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 A clean save is required when you switch between plugins and especially between versions of lovers. Disable all lovers plugins, start oblivion and load your existing game, then hit escape and make a manual save. After that is done exit the game and then enable your lovers plugins and then fire up oblivion and load the save you just made. A new game is the preferable method but clean saves are generally enough.

Whenever I save, the ESP file loses its dependency for LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp, and then if I try to load it in the editor again it gives me a huge list of error messages about dialogue not being found and crashes. Is it because I'm using the "Filtered Dialogue" screen to make changes? I've never really edited dialogue in any Elder Scrolls game except Morrowind (which was 10x easier due to being small in file sizes and text-only). Also, I'm a bit confused about the condition targeting - for some of the lines, in the conditions, the target is the "passive" person, while in others it's the "active" person. Who is the target and who is not? Also, what do all of these clothing items that serve as tags in the conditions do - they appear to be in anglicized Japanese? I'm using the Construction Set Extender with the beta version of OBSE. Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions (or really dumb questions) but I don't understand how to edit this mod properly.

[/quote'] Of all the plugins to start editing, I would not recommend this be one of them as it is so massive. I am slowly working on removing the gibberish\untranslated lines. I hope to have this complete sometime prior to Thanksgiving. There is something like 10,000 lines of dialogue in the plugin and that takes a F'ton of time to go through. If you want further changes after I finish with it, I will try to help you through things.

Neliahawk Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 hmm... should lovers voice add sex subtitles to creature sex too? atleast i think i remember some mod from months ago that did that... i think LoversRaperSGalgat does something like that too... but i didnt use that months ago... and it kind of "conflicts" with LoversRaperS_Shadow_1.42, with 2 different sets of combat rape and rape spells, so i removed the galat version again. i like the "new" "set personality" function... of whatever mod added that, with its different sex subtitles. or is it rev 96 that "messes" up stuff so the creature subtitles dont appear?
gregathit Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Lovers voice does NOT add any subtitles for creature sex. LPK rev96 has nothing to do with this either. It was indeed a unique feature of Galgat's custom version of RaperS. This of course would most definitely conflict with any other version of RaperS including Shadowrunners. The set personality feature comes from Joburg. I do have a beta version of Lovers Voice in this thread: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=12898 The changes I made are mainly getting rid of the last bits of untranslated text. I am guessing I am about 1/3 done with the revisions but I put it on hold until after the holidays. There is also an updated version of Joburg with cleaner menus.

There are two reasons this plugin could be crashing your game: 1. You have failed to install the SSP version of Adult Play Plus. 2. Your load order is wrong. Without seeing your load order I can't do a damn thing to help you. Wrye Bash has nothing to do with why you are crashing Lovers wise.

Can't help you unless you fully explain what you are trying to accomplish.
