This should work when you have the right key (I think it's called Lauras Master Key or something along that line) If all else fails, you can use the standard DD-debug method to get rid of devices. Put everything you can get rid of in a container you own (or make a save and use a piece of paper for the numbers) just to have a shorter list to scoll through. open the console, type "player.inv" and go looking for the item you want to unlock - and for an ID which is +/- 1 of that ID - this is the DD lock. type "player.removeitem (the ID of the lock) 1" and repeat for the item itself. repeat until you're rid of all the annoying bits, grab your stuff and run. 2
Lucifermate Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Thank you for the help. I’ve managed to get past that hurdle now. I understand that these mods are not made by an entire gaming community team, but a dedicated community. it’s still got issues but I’ll try my best to figure it out👍 1
Lucifermate Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 Sorry for my frequency that I’ve asked for help. I’ve tried to fix this problem myself but just can’t figure it out on the quest “what she Deserves” every time I confront Jade and she takes control of me. Nothing happens, my character just stands still unable to move, and Jade just stays sitting down. The same thing kinda happened when Laura is about to test some collars on my character. She tells me to wait on the mat and then just stands beside me, not doing anything. could this potentially be due to a setting I need to activate in the Mod configuration?

As this is very early in the questline: start again with a bare minimum of mods. Some mod managers allow you to have different profiles for playing, so you could try to have one specific for this mod. The main quest took me six hours the last time I've played it, but as I've done this a few times the riddles, searching for clues etc. take no extra time. Expect ten hours (or more) of frustration, cussing and reloading if the mod isn't working in this early stage. It will only get worse.

Make sure you have all the requirements installed (including the requirements of the requirements) and that they operate outside of this mod, especially Fuz Ro D-oh (and with Fuz, make sure it is the right one for your specific version of Skyrim, there's a list of the versions in the change log at the bottom of the mod description). TDM (and other camera mods) has also been known to have issues with some scenes when the player loses control. If you're using AE, you also have to be extra careful of any mod with a DLL that it is for your Skyrim, if I recall correctly, this applies to DD, SOS & SLA, unless you're using the alternative NG / no DLL versions. Lucifermate Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 I don’t think it’s due to a long mod list. The only mods I currently have running are the ones required for this mod. -bodyslide and outfit Studio -XP32 Maximum skeleton Special Extended -FNIS Behavior SE 7_6 -SkyUI_5_2_SE -RaceMenu AE - All in one address library AE -OBody NG- Cleavage configurations -Sexlabs - devious devices SE AE VR -Laura’s Bondage Shop v3.43 SSE version - by tznvlw (2).7z -SexlabsarousedSSELoose-29.7z -SexlabFrameworkAE_v166b.7z now that I write it, it does kinda look long. But I think all but one or two of those mod are required for Laura’s shop to run properly. if I was to guess, it’s got something to do when NPCs take control of the character. But I’m not sure which mods that’s tied to.

I installed DD NG (allow to overwrite DD 5.2) and OSLAroused (there's also an alpha of SLA NG that you could try instead).
Thorin2012 Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Hi, I'm having an issue with the quest Taking Control where a bug causes the game to crash and I can't get around it. I'm at the point in the quest where the collar has knocked out everyone in the cave, and the quest objective is to return to your master. I get to the edge of the cave, and fast travel to the next location outside. However once I'm there, I get two of the pop-ups telling me to return to my master. I click ok on the first one, and there's still a second one there and nothing happens. I click ok on the second one, the game freezes for a second, and then crashes straight to desktop. I haven't had any issues with any other parts of this mod, no conflicts, and I have all the requirements installed.
Lucifermate Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 When it comes to the quest “Taking Control” where do I find the Journal page 2? I've found 1 and 3. I’ve also talked to the bartender, solider and random guy. But it seems I’ve hit a dead end in the mission?

NoNickNeeded Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 (edited) I'm trying out the SE for the first time and I installed the file by twnvlw. By itself the mod seems to work perfectly well, but in combination with Wrye Bash SE I have run into an issue, which I probably, hopefully fixed, though I haven't been able to fully test if everything works now. I thought I'd share in case other people run into the same issue, or might have found a better solution to it than me. The issue was that Wrye Bash complained that the Laura esp was still of the old format and that there was a file-size mismatch. The result was that ingame the shop inventory was empty, except for stuff I sold Laura, if I activated the bashed patch. I tried to update the esp file with the Creation Kit and then rebuild the Wrye Bash patch and that seems to have done the trick, tough again, I haven't yet done much testing. The reason why I am rather unsure is, that the CK threw dozens of errors both in the opening and saving of the esp and for some reason created facegen meshes and textures in my override folder (I'm using MO 2 by the way)... d34dc4t Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Does anybody know where you're supposed to go after you find Njadi and get put into the restraints? I just says "find out where Njadi went" with n marker or anything....

Were they actually errors, or just warnings? The CK always spews warnings, if you're not familiar with using it. It also (by default) generates new facegen meshes and textures every time you save.

Most of them were warnings, as far as I can tell from the lack of the word error in the text, but a couple were specifically saying error. Do I need to keep the facegen files, or can I just delete them and/or deactivate that the CK creates them? The only thing I changed in my CK so far, is to add the line in the ini, that allows mods with multiple masters to be loaded, and setting it up to be started out of MO2, so it can access the virtual file tree. If you don't have any grey face bugs for Laura's characters then usually no, you don't. It likely won't matter much either way. 1
quodphelph Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 (edited) Took a break from Skyrim for a while, modlist got too bloated and I couldn't figure out what was making everything crash. Just came back a few days ago with a lighter load order and some hopes that my favorite mod got some more story content while I was away. And I gotta say, you've once again totally nailed it, Laura. The story was compelling, the quests were interesting, and the gameplay was excellent. Your biggest strength as a modder is how you can implement bondage into the gameplay, where the player is restrained in a way that enhances the gameplay rather than hinders it. Navigating quest clues and puzzle hints while dealing with restraints, and rotating the limitations placed on the character was dynamic and super fun. The final few quests really were a treat to play, and while this looks like (mostly) the end of the journey, I'd be very excited for any further updates (that tease for a shop expansion, hell yes). Thanks for all the work you've put in, and thanks for sharing a part of yourself with all of us by letting us play it Edited May 17, 2024 by quodphelph 10

Mirajana Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 I downloaded Skyrim for the first time and this is the first time I installed mods. So here's a question: “Laura's store appears at once or do you need to first pass the game?"

In addition to the user in front of me: And you can also accept Laura's first quests right away - there is no minimum level. In this thread I have linked some chapters of my Skyrim blog story - these contain a solution for the main quest series or you can use the appropriate link at the end of my post

Tycho Brahe Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Played around with this mod years ago, and recently finally got around to play through the now-completed questline. There were a few kinks (lol) along the way where a scene would get stuck, but generally reloading helped me through them. And what a mod this is! It has a 10-quest main story, which makes it sort of resemble a mini-DLC. It’s the Dawnguard of bondage mods, in a way, and I love it. I’d pick something like this over any CC content any day. Love the story arc as well. It is always amazing to realize towards the end of the story that you have come full circle. And it is one of the more compelling modded-in stories out there in my view. I ended up taking the story way more seriously than I originally intended. I guess the lesson here is “Don’t judge a book’s writing by how kinky its cover is”, or something like that. I don’t know. English is not my first language so I have license to misuse all idioms. Honestly the little note we get after finishing the quest line shocked me a little, but not in a bad way. I am just surprised by how brave you are, processing things and sharing your thoughts through this mod. It… actually helps me against my own problems a little, which is the last thing you’d expect first going into this mod. Thanks for that. But what I love the most are the characters. Compared to a typical bondage-associated mod character, Laura is very “tamed” when it comes to how far she’s willing to take things. Both she and the mod itself respect preferences and boundaries, and it makes Laura closer-to-life and a bit more realistic as a character. Her preferences are interesting, too. She also likes to be bound, but has a dominant side as well, which sometimes shines through. She is committed to not getting into a slave-master relationship, no matter which side she is on, which makes her a great playmate while also making the perfect sense if you go through the story. Her friends are also behaving like friends, supporting her in ways that makes me go “yeah, I can see a friend acting like that”, instead of the typical “we will have one friendly conversation the first time you walk in so you know our relationship” approach that Skyrim often takes. The interactions, from a human perspective, are actually more believable than… than some of the vanilla NPC interactions. Also, as I personally prefer consensual depictions of certain, uh, “acts”, so the idea that you can say “no” whenever a character tries to force themself on your player character is nice. It is a genuinely user-friendly approach. All in all, one can give this mod a [9 + however many days Laura made my character wear that belt] out of 10. I don’t know what the number is because I set the upper limit too high and it’s been two in-game months. Laura’s clearly enjoying this. Seems like development for this mod is not over yet, which is good news. Would love to see the player character having some more "playtime" with the cast! And sorry about putting a small essay up in a mod discussion. 9
Und es tut mir leid, dass ich in einer Mod-Diskussion einen kleinen Aufsatz veröffentlicht habe. quite the opposite - I am a user of this mod myself and I see that there are users who prefer consensual actions (in the BDSM area). Thank you from me for sharing your thoughts with us. ❤️ 1
