Flooding the lungs with fluid. The patient tires out, then you have to put them on a respirator to breath for them, as they would otherwise drown in their own fluids as the body tries to fight. Predicted U.S. cases as of a week ago: 20,000. Actual cases: 32,000. We simply don't have the numbers of respirators required. The technology exists, but the physical numbers do not. People WILL die from this otherwise survivable illness simply due to the scale of the problem. We WILL hit a million cases in the U.S.. He figures the peak to be mid-May in the U.S.. 12-18 months for a vaccine. Italy has a 10% death rate. Medical personnel are starting to get burned out. Absolutely exhausted. Some have died.
