I never played with those.

I was too busy playing with overly-complicated Japanese Transformers figurines.

I liked the Gen 1 Transformers. They only had about 10 moving parts each and were simple to transform. Nowadays, you need the instructions, a delicate hand and the patience of a sloth to transform the simplest of robots.

I can still do a pretty good female Starscream voice. :v

im still waiting for the classic RPG/FPS port trend

Kids nowdays never played hexen I and II, Heretic I and II, or Witchhaven 1 and 2

imagine a witchhaven mod for skyrim

You have given me inspiration and I hereby vow that there will be at least 1 quest in discworld that puts you in control of a pixelated character in a pixelated dungeon!

Giggidy

i was talking about the complete port like HDT Flails, or the entire hexen I and II weapons and magic ports

i would pay to see a maulotaur or Porkalator spell in skyrim, someone tried to make a Hexen mod in oblivion, but the team quit

Also someone uploaded Altered Beginning mod again on Nexus(the one which you choose your character, Class and Birthright and jumps the main quest)

DERAILING THREAD FOR AWESOMENESS!

For the record my man, I do have a paypal linked somewhere!

hehehehe

Now to be fair I did give it a skyrim twist, working out all the getrace functions to turn people back to the appropriate race now, just figured I'd upload a vid rq cause I was laughing my ass off. I'm gonna speed them up as horkers to

Edit: Oh I'll prob have it up here in a zip or something and on the nexus within a hour or so I would imagine, it's basically a bunch of fucking repeating lines now to change race then change back but I'm probably gonna add a spell effect to the reversal to

i was joking about the paying part =D

the Wabbajack is Already the Porkalator, but without the permanent transformation =(

Anyway Altered beginning(better than Arthmoor's mod) was removed =(

Lol this is a funny ass spell though, I have it set to only 20 sec xforms but the fact if you can nail a dragon midair with it he will spiral crash land as a horker and insta die depending on health

Giants and mammoths just disappear for like 20 sec kind of weird but I'm gonna roll with it

SERIOUSLY MAN THOUGH!! DONT TEASE ME WIT THE $$ AMG!

To be fair I decided to start uploading all my spells as I make them because in 1 day horkalator got 1k+ views on the video, my alpha trailer got 300 in 1 week, so I've been linking the DIscworld trailer to every spell and the views are starting to shoot up

Giggidy lol

Just annoying to have so many people putting in so much work so I'm going to keep doing this to get more recognition for Discworld

I've looked at followers mods at nexus,  There is one guy with 'Stand Alone' in the title of his uploads.  Pointing out the obvious, if you use the vanilla game to do the AIs and dialogue it IS NOT 'stand alone'. Another obvious is the guy is using the same tweaked high forehead face morph (in a 'custom file' structure) and slapping SG hairs and different races on them.  A 13yr old can do that.  It is no big deal and Nexus-tards are eating up it like it's mod-valium.

If anything needs to be banned it's horseshit like that...but it does generate hamster wheel pop-ups for Dark0ne...so never mind.  :P

Anything with SGHairs on should be grounds for banning.

But that would mean 60% of Nexus' revenue would also be banished.

Stand Alone in this context means that you don't need any kind of hair mod, body mod or textures for the follower to work because they come with their own meshes and textures.

I looked at some of the SG Hair content...and that's all I have to say.

I guess I have a bad habit of actually looking at files and esps to see how things are done.  Skyrim has got to be the worst offender for chickenshit mods, with New Vegas running a close second.  If Dark0ne would actually clean house and kick all of the ENBs, fake texture packs and repetitive companion mods he'd probably clear a whole galaxy's worth of server space.  For every real modder he's banned there are 100 waiting in the wings with their bullshit derivatives and blatant rip-offs.  That is why Nexus is what it is as far as content goes.

Because you think the mod is bad or because there were some copyright issues with it? I never really knew what was going on with SG hairs, they were up, they were down, some kind of drama, re-upped, taken down again and now... I have no idea. They are obviously available, but they are kind of a no-no to mention.

It's a great mod but I don't think the creator would give permission to people just like that.

HelloSanta(?) threw a fit when people started reuploading it everywhere and took it down everywhere he/she could and even then people kept uploading it so he/she basically rage-quit on modding. That's basically I saw while I was lurking here back then.

At any rate, the point is there's no way he or she would just give these random people permission to use his or her hairs.

Well, way I seemed to understand it from reading a little of the tail-end of that thread for it, is that they retextured hair conversions someone else did, and those people were wanting them taken down for that reason?

Idk, I thought it was all kinda screwy. They were lovely looking, and I would've liked to use some of them myself. If it's using assets from another game (Sims I think it was) then what was the problem? Wouldn't be the first time I've seen Sims hair around (in fact I'm using some right now, some "Oblivion hairs" that seem not to be on Nexus anymore). Personally I wouldn't care what someone did with my Guild Wars conversions long as credit was given for the original conversion. I'd prefer that I was the only uploader but, I suppose I'm not as territorial with things like that. If I made a mod that was entirely all my creative doing then yeah, I'd be very territorial. But for something from another game? Kinda hard to be when it's not your original work in the first place.

Were they actually from the Sims?

I don't play that kinda game so I wouldn't know.

I thought the big issue was people uploading them around without permission though?

To be honest I've forgotten most of that thread.

I still have the mod though, hasn't left my load order since back then. Only hair mod I use.

As far as I know, HelloSanta isn't the original author, he/she did the porting and the original author asked HelloSanta to take it down because no permission was given etc.

Don't quote me on that though, sometimes all this drama in the modding scene gets confusing.

The mod is still floating around on the interwebs.
