Though bear in mind that "Alienware" is now no longer an independent company, it's actually a division of "Dell". Just some food for thought.

I don't know where you live and it's your business if you say! Though check out a PC Pro review from the issue number 296 on page 50. As they review a gaming computer in the magazine. The system concerned is a Cyberpower Ultra 7 RTX Gaming PC. Which costs £1,349 in the United Kingdom. They're a builder of custom gaming pc computers so it could be built exactly to your specifications and they currently have an sale on their systems. For readers of PC Pro magazines via an advertisement in the magazine. Their sale via the advert allows for £20 off at the checkout.

Another manufacturer to checkout is PC Specialist and their Vulcan S1 system as well as their other computer models. Which also has a sale on currently via an advert in the PC Pro magazine. As well as reviewed in said magazine back in issue number 297 on page 54. Check out the magazine for the reviews themselves so you can judge for your self as well as other due diligence.

First of all, thanks for this mod, Ivy is fantastic, although I have to try to talk with her when others are not around due to her comments lol. Also, so far, I have had NO problems with her at all. No bugs or anything. Can't compliment you enough for how great of a job you've done with her.

Second, so I originally ignored your requirement that there be no AFT and I couldn't get her as a companion. So I disabled AFT and everything works fine. Ivy and I have been to a lot of places, I've heard most of her dialogue at this point, and done a couple of kill the client quests for her.

So I did a hard save and placed Ivy ABOVE AFT and re-enabled AFT to see what happened. So far I am using Ivy, Heather, and Piper and Ivy seems to be doing fine.

Is it just the initial part of recruiting her that doesn't work with AFT or am I going to miss some quests or anything? Right now she seems fine. She is still my follower, I can still talk with her, and she continues to use new dialogue from time to time.

So maybe its ok to have AFT once you have recruited her? Just asking because I like to have two or three companions at a time. Thanks for any advice/input you may have.

Thanks. :)

I just don't really know how to make it more clear to NOT use AFT at this point.

I made the letters in the original topic, bright orange, 32 points and gave them a bold face lettertype.

Hehe yeah I know I saw that. I hard saved before I downloaded Ivy so I could see what happened if I did. You were right.

That said, since I have had her for a while now, re-enabling AFT hasn't seemed to effect her. If you don't want to go into detail I completely understand, I'm just curious and like to play around with mods including going through them with FO4Edit and CK etc to see how I can modify them, but do you know why AFT won't work with her? It doesn't seem to effect Heather at all so I'm just genuinely curious, I'm not criticizing or questioning your warning or anything, I just want to understand the mechanics of it as long as you don't mind elaborating. Again, if its a simple don't use AFT as the answer though then I get it and I won't.

Again, thanks for the great companion!

The AFT, despite some problems is a fantastic mod, besides you can walk with a gang of followers of your choice, it allows the Curie at any given moment to save Nora from cryogenics and unfold an interesting story with the daughter-in-law after surgery by the Curie, the camp that allows you to mount to sleep anywhere and can be much improved and the options of cleaning or fencing settlements are great,
but...

In the game we make choices all the time and spend some time with certain MODs and sometimes we need to leave them to have other experiences in the game, this is the case of AFT and Ivy,

in summary of everything that was already much, and much and much talked about here:

If there is more than one partner with Ivy (in this current version) the dialogues of Ivy and this other companion will overlap, as well as the interactions in certain places, and this will break much of Ivy's interaction dialogues, for those who use the two, AFT and IVY, it seems that everything is normal, as I used a lot of time, but only when you use Ivy without the AFT that you perceive several interactions and certain depth that before did not appear.

Ivy works very well with the mod that allows the dog to accompany you always, for the simple reason that the dog does not have dialogues with you, there are other mods of companions that do not use the normal system of companions and even can wheels together with ivy no need for AFT like Heather, but the same problem returns, the break of part of the interaction,
From what I understand Ivy was created to provide you with a unique, complete and intense experience, and this only has its fullness if only she will take you on your journey.

Anyway, AFT is great in a lot of things, but like every mod we sometimes leave it aside to better enjoy other mods, and this is the case with Ivy.

Detail:
in the next version, the existence of another companion will make it impossible for HIPERCOMBAT to work well, and to erase this novelty does not compensate

Are you sure you want to post a copy of the site?

Ok so I did as instructed and had my answer on AFT in the first 10 pages. Maybe took me 15 minutes total lol. Should have done that in the first place. As for screenshots, here is mine. I'm using a fantastic face preset from the nexus and I think she looks great. She does have something covering her crotch btw, just not very much of it... or her boobs... lol

Anyway, great mod and easy to change features on. Thanks again!

@desertranger111 If you decide to use AFT with Ivy, you must tell AFT to ignore Ivy before recruiting her... and she must always be the first companion in your group. That being said, you must understand that by using AFT, you void your right to come asking for troubleshooting in the future.

Disclaimer: I use AFT without issue, but i've seen the AFT and Ivy debacle before and would rather it not surface again.

Edit: This same advice goes for using Heather as well. AFT should only be used on vanilla companions and NPCs that are included with the basegame and its DLC.

Yes. I'm in desperate need for VA's. I need an older gruffy sounding male voice for Doctor Stein, preferably with a (weak) german accent.

And I need a woman (with a southern or texas or New Jersey) accent to play the NX-1C Maid bot (but @ChicGeek has dibs on that if she wants it, I'm awaiting a response on that) the maid bot is a smaller VA role with only 350 lines of dialogue. Stein has around 250 in total but is a much more important character (holotape recordings).

In the future (e.g. 4-6 months from now) I will need someone to help voice one of the female customers of Ivy.

Well, unfortunately, I can't do a German accent to save my life. But I have some German bloodline in me, lol. And being 48 I have an older voice and can make it sound kinda gruff if I chain smoke and go without anything to drink. And besides that, even though I live in a Northern State, I have been told by SunJeong that I sound like I have a Southern Accent I'll see what I can do about the one with a southern accent. The one that I have in mind is from California, and I haven't heard if she can do a southern accent. But it doesn't hurt to check.

As long as it's not 'proper' American and sounds like a maid it should do fine. :)

The German for Stein though, that's a must.

@Reginald_001 Your welcome! I thought it would help to have some more options. I'm looking forward to your new release of Ivy Companion. I'm running Fallout 4 on a self constructed system using an upgraded equivalent to a pre-tested bundle, as a base. Things included in the bundle I used were of a much lower specification to that which were in my final purchase. I have since upgraded the system built around that spec several times.

No, like Wolowitz's mom (but not angry sounding like her, just that accent):

Or Sheldon's mom.. either accent would fit and work well for her.

I've built several systems in the past but 'am too old for that shit'.. these days I just try to buy an expensive system with good support that will last me 4-5 years. It's a formula that's been working well for me. :)
