Hi, I have a suggestion for the next update.

Could IVy have a system of its own? I'll try to explain:
if I am with a companion like codsworth for example, and I call Ivy, codsworth returns to the sanctuary and ivy only allows to be the only active companion.

The suggestion is that the IVY has a system similar to that of Heather Castin, which can be called and tracked but uncontested as an active companion to the game system, it is as if her system were part of the game system, she can accompany you regardless of which native companion of the game is with you at the time,

the idea is that the IVY can accompany me even though I already have another escort with me, so I can follow the normal script of the game but with Ivy accompanying me in the missions of the playmaker of the game along with the companions of the mission.

Following the recommendation I removed AFT, but realized that iVy occupies the same slot as the native companion of the game, and I wanted to travel with her and more with the companion of the mission, for example, to ivy with me while we followed the NIck, or going along with Cait, or Piper ...

it would be possible?

Edit:

I do not know if I could express myself well.

the suggestion is that an ivy can be recruited, but a third party companion of the game may also be,
so she can participate in all stages of the game without having to be dispensed in the parts of missions in which the companion of the game has to be together.

the example I used is heather castin, https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23273
but it seems to me that the mistress passion https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32604
and the syntetic love https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13815 also work like this, you can recruit as companion and also have some native companion of the game at the same time.

something curious, is that as each one of them seems to be outside the companion counting system, you can be with a native companion of the game and with the 3 together, without needing any additional plugin none (AFT or others).

Something interesting, in the example of Heather Casting, is that as she accompanies you, as you meet or recruit other native companions she interacts with them, such as greeting the Nick, Hancock or getting involved with Piper,

Ivy has such fantastic interactions as when she interrupts Mercy in the museum soon, or complains about Prestam, I think if Ivy can accompany you and other native companions that her interaction with the characters in the game in her normal script can be even more incredible, and she can have her great comments when she meets this or that character, such as Cait who is hotter than and even proposes sex to three with the player and Piper, if Ivy could accompany her this moment could have some comment .

I hope I was able to explain the suggestion

Sorry if you've already answered this question, and I'm sure the answer is obvious... However, I clearly got the message that AFT should not be used, but why? and hwta sort of problems would I get if I used it anyway?

it breaks the AI of the IVY, if using the AFT part of the experience with the IVY gets lost in the way ...

A colleague even gave the proceeds of having AFT installed, before recruiting the IVY to use the AFT options to mark her as "ignoring NPC" or "not changing AI" and then recruiting the IVY, but even so, she still lost complications, not only with IVY but with other followers as well.

Reginald himself did a lot of testing and checked, but the AFT, despite a very interesting feature, does not work very well with IVY

AFT actually interferes with some base game AI's as well. Hard to spot though.

Yes, it would be nice to have IVY & Nick for Far Harbor, among other situations like that.

An excellent idea (suggested before), that was Way too much work, as it was basically doing IVY again from (almost) scratch.

(Redoing Every line is only part of that).

I had hoped @Reginald_001 might do that since he had to rewrite IVY anyway for the ESM version, but it is a HUGE amount of work, so I'm not surprised at all.

What about Everyone's Best Friend?  From what I understand this just re-enables functionality that was already in Fallout so it should be safe am I right?

Yes, I believe Reginald had that mod installed when making Ivy, something about it on the description page iirc. I'v used it with her these past few months and have yet to hear a peep of a problem.

Hi. Will Ivy have her own skin in the future? I'd like to place some tattoos unique to her.

Yes, this file will do that for you

Sure, go ahead! The ESM won't be for a few months anyway. :)

Sorry for the lag.

I used the Radio Patch 2 version .esp and kept the script included.

This file will allow you to use custom body meshes and textures.

I included a set of CBBE body meshes and 4K textures for a default fill.

BodySlide support is also included for her nude body.

It will be listed in the drop-down as Ivy Body.

If you want physics I'm sure you know what to do.

Sorry but Ivy cannot use a unique skeleton without changing her race.

I have yet to find a way to give her unique facegen textures.

It seems you can create a dependency, but that texture isn't actually used.

So no unique face textures or skeleton.

Thanks Reg, everyone enjoy

If there is an easy way to make Ivy not use the vanilla scripts I'm open to suggestions.

Sadly I don't know of anything useful for that other than brute force. Wish I did, but my programming skills are rusty & old.

But whenever it involves reworking all (now 7000+ lines of dialogue) I'm out. :P

For those of you that questioned his sanity, here is evidence that he hasn't given All of it to Ivy.  ?

I had a preconception that Lovers Lab was just for low quality sex mods that can't be put on Nexus, so I rarely even looked at this site, but how wrong I was. This mod is an absolute diamond and if it could be put on Nexus it would had to have become one of the highest rated mods on the site. I thought Heather was a good companion mod, and it is, but Ivy is just exceptional. I cannot compliment you, and also Chic Geek, enough for the work and effort that went into this great mod.

I've done very little to change Ivy's looks. I tried to give her that platinum blonde 1930s movie starlet hairstyle from the pictures (that looks like an upgraded version for vanilla FO3 "Seductress" hairstyle) as that look really suits her. I think I read before that someone said it was her original look, or was an add-on. I did find it in the 'Commonwealth Cuts' mod but unfortunately, as that is a Skyrim port, the quality is just not there for FO4. I ended up giving her hair from another mod, which is ok, but I personally feel she needs something unique, amongst other NPCs, and really glamorous to match her intended purpose. I didn't change anything else, Ivy is Ivy, which is as you made her. I think you did a great job with her so I don't feel the need to really change her beyond her hair.

I have tweaked the mod files a tiny bit. I applied the texture from the worn version of Ivy's default dress to also be on its unworn/menu version (the OutfitGO.nif file). And also changed the two buildable radios for 'Radio W.I.V.S.' to use the pre-war radio mesh (instead of the post-war one) with your texture so that clean and new looking radio doesn't then have the rattly coat hanger antennas (just a personal preference).

Q?: What is the relevance, if any, of the unique Formal Hat she carries? The ID name for this is "_ivy_listener_hat" in the mod files (which suggests it has/had some use or planned use) but on the surface looks like its not important at all. Sadly I lack the knowledge to be able to check scripts etc, etc, to know if this is an actual important item for her to have/carry.

Thank you for making this mod, I cannot imagine the amount of time and effort that must have gone into this, clearly a labour of love.

Absolutely loving the mod, I keep stalling my playthrough just to visit as many unique places as possible to chase her new dialogue, so thank you so much for all the work that's been put into this mod, it seriously amazes me how people like you can be so generous with your time and skill in order to make the game a better experience for other people, seriosuly thank you.

I was also kinda wondering - does Ivy have dialogues in the DLC's? I know it's probably been asked to death, so sorry if it's repetitive.

Not yet. Ivy's DLC is being worked on as she will also use the .esm instead of .esp That's the big thing that @Reginald_001 is working on. But YAS I love Ivy so much

Just a small info for all using Ivy.

She works fine with Flashy's RSE Elements Zero. No hiccups so far, except the occasional misalignment for animations (but thats not Ivys fault).

Still don't know what to do with the other possible companions. They are so Incredible bad in comparison to Ivy...

I've  edited the .esp and created a custom race for Ivy so I can use custom skeleton and textures for her.  I've managed to use a custom preset of mine for her and I have played about 3 hour without any issue.  I wonder why doesn't she have a custom textures and skeleton implemented yet  and if there anything I am not aware of yet what Will  break Ivy and my save due to I have set a custom race for her ? :D

Great mod btw I love her dirty talk. LOL

On a unrelated(ish) topic, but still Ivy; Holy. Crap. I'm sure you all have Seen the ikaros androids by trophihunter. I've been using Synth tattoo (looksmenu Overlay) By GrimSovereign ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30707) but DAMN, if I could get this to work with Ivy... unfortunately I am a modding scrub and cant figure it out.

If you use the files I posted on page 50 Ivy will have custom body texture and mesh paths and then you could manually install those synth looks files.

Be sure to install the Materials files because it will be looking for those too

Any mod that uses a race check will not include Ivy's custom race you made.

Some mods (most likely sex mods, possibly outfits and others) may also not work because her custom race won't be included as applicable. Like how you can't put adult clothes on children by default.

I tried to use that and went in game with console slm (IvyID) 1 and went into "body" and "Skins" she had no hands. But, I see what you are saying and will try to Manually copy the files

UPDATE - LMAO I have NO idea where to even start with this... Oh well I'll keep at or just keep Ivy's look as is
