Just solved it for some reason MoreNastyCritters was the problem. Apparently the mod author is trying to figure out why it keeps doing this to dungeons and some interiors,

In DCL 9.0 doing the The bound in skyrim line. After complete some quest in Whip and Chain inn there is book and inn keeper ask research this book.

If you abort this line so never officially you can start it.

At the end of quest she release you and put on collar for next quest, so there no need unlock any item. She gives a key to for unlock Chloe. And it works too.

You probably have installed noenchanment restriction mod or any other mods what block DD correct work or you have outdated DD or have outdated patch installed by other mods.

Hey All

 

Quick question regarding the event quests (Rubber doll,  Cursed Collar). I can't seem to get these to trigger. Even with setting the rest of the events to 0 and setting basic cursed loot chance to 100%. The only thing that does seem to happen is that if i search a container I get a panel gag spawned on me, even though I have set all the other events to 0.

 

Is there some other hidden clause I have to fill or should they pop out of a container I'm searching/door going through like other drops?

Ok this is prolly gunna be a no but is it possible to have cursed loot run on only your companions and not the player?

Guys any ideas why the items don't get equipped on my character ? It just spawns them in the container but doesn't lock them on.
Idk how to solve this please help.

Please send papyrus log, also in DCL MCM Debug enable debugging it will show what's goes on in left part of screen. Check DCM MCM Debug Active quest running is true - traps are disabled. Or you have outdated DD or old patches. It will show up in papyrus log.

Um, so i tried to get some logs out of papyrus but there are no logs in / My Games / Skyrim / Logs / Script so idk.
Anyways, me being a dumbass have set minimum arousal to find cursed loot to 20 and mostly i take care of the arousal so yeah.
The second i set it to 0 and set the CL chance to 100 i got trapped. It's all good now i guess.

@Kimy quick ethos question: whats the line on positive devices?

 

just started a new playthrough and working through the quests again (the newer ones are definitely better as the gameplay is more engaging than walk this route with device that makes you slow). So leaning into that whole variation thing what are your thoughts on:

 

A - having a look at the inventory descriptions for the "good" items the dollmaker gives you (protective, mages etc are pretty self explanatory but a lot of the other enchantments are vague or just missing any obvious stat numbers.)

 

B - more varied and possibly goofier devices?

  • sprinters - % movement speed buff, kinda straightforward could be funny on hobble dresses but on cuffs could be useful to offset another slowdown effect.
  • radiant - light emitting (no idea how this works in skyrim) but glowing gloves could be useful while looting, but a glowing blindfold would be amusingly ironic... and the idea of a buttplug flashlight is pretty damn funny.
  • gold diggers - steadily casts transmute every __ seconds while worn... also vibrates. get rich but horny. (plugs or piercings would make sense).
  • masochists - when PC takes damage convert % of it into stamina.
  • ensnaring - (auto casts soul trap, honestly this is filler )
  • electrocuting  - falling below health % casts lightning cloak 
  • sadists - dealing damage restores % stamina
  • asphyxiating - losing stamina restores mana
  • soothing - constantly heals PC hp/s
  • clairvoyant - casts clairvoyance automatically every __ seconds, amusing/ironic on certain items.
  • perverts -  casts detect life every __ seconds
  • anti-bacterial - disease immunity
  • moist - __ seconds of waterbreathing
  • padded - muffles
  • insulating - % shock/frost resist (makes sense for rubber right?)
  • succubus - after sex regen of all stats is improved by %
  • obedient - % improved xp gain.
  • uniform - magic skills improve % faster
  • escapists - lockping improved
  • rugged - combat skills improve % faster
  • seamless - stealth skills improve % faster
  • desperate - improved pickpocketing of keys
  • nympho's - __XP gain for sex
  • Cumslut's - greatly improved prices at vendors but random % chance to initiate sex when talking to someone.
  • slippery - small % chance to negate damage 
  • sticky - cant drop keys or jam locks
  • Brat's - struggle cooldown reduced by %
  • Defiant - % knockdown resistant

so for example "masochists" "rubber dress" or "escapists" "black bone gag" might be devices that the player would want to continue wearing. while "clairvoyant" "blindfold" probably isn't. obviously this would massively shift the balance in game because off the top of my head "asphyxiating" "rubber collar" and a restrictive corset would probably get super broken super quickly. Personally I'd be ok with that though, DCL already completely changes playthroughs and more variety is always welcome.

 

Well, that turned out not to be super quick but it's food for thought anyway. :)

Hello I have a small issue with the mod, everything works smoothly except "rape" part. When I wear restrains/devices the npc's has no problem with getting their way with me but the only thing that breaks is the non devices rape. I get notifications that "Solitude guard and friends going to rape me", they run near me, the character is stripped naked but nothing else happens. One of the guards grovels in fear (the vanilla animation of being scared) but again nothing else happens. Message says I am pushed to the ground but that don't happen as well, the character let's out struggle sounds for few seconds and that's it. After a minute or two I can move again. I tried disabling the animation filter in both DD and ZaZ but that didn't do a thing either :/

Try open a console wait while in left corner shows up name of sex act and exit from console.

why when I disable something does the mod still randomly generate it? is there a way to permanently remove specific devices? disabling them from the mcm seems to do sweet FA.

Hi

 

I'm using @Bane Master 's current Defeat version 5.3.6 + AndrewLRG's mod - excellent updates too! - which use the DCL mechanic to update Defeat's Post Trauma events to provide a chance that DDs may be added to the defeated player (+followers if used). 

 

As I understand it, the reason for using the link to DCL to add post event restraints to the player etc, is that it means that the later version DDs from DD5 that @Kimy seems to use in DCL can be used by the bad people to tie up / gag / blindfold etc the player + followers, as opposed to the earlier versions of Defeat which were hard coded to add only items that came from DD4

 

However, the 'Shackles' option that the latest version can now randomly apply to the player etc (which seems to be from the DCL selection process) still includes/generates (amongst other things) those cursed 'cosmetic only' arm and leg bands which, when added to and worn by the player and party, do nothing at all other than maybe look nice - surely no self respecting baddie is going to leave their victim as just some sort of fashion model demonstrating their creative artwork?

 

I was wondering if anyone knows of any patch/method of having DCL, when selecting those, replace them randomly with proper restraints, eg the steel shackles on a chain, steel handcuffs etc? The sort of DDs that @Kharos 'Better NPC Support for Devious Devices 0.7 beta 1 SE' mod makes functioon 'properly' eg followers wearing DDs can no longer use weapons etc (another, possibly underappreciated, great mod if you've not come across it yet)

 

While I can't be certain about this, it doesn't seem likely to need the whole mechanic changed, but rather just the item selection outcome to stop these useless things appearinmg and other more realistic restraints being selected instead.  If it was done within DCL too, it would provide a much more realistic outcome there as well

 

Any chance of a very quick fix from anyone?  @Kimy ?
