No wonder why your blog is so perfect :) You take a lot of time for every single picture. Unfortunately, my wife, Ivy have no time for such things and me too. that's why our blog entries is minimalist. Add "slow learners" to it, and you get what you see. :)

Thanks for the tutorial anyway. :)

Thank you for the tutorial and all the work you've put into it. (I don't have photoshop, but your tips and tricks can still be used with other programs which is very helpful) ?

Oh for sure, imagine there's all kindsa similar stuff out there, but I think they're prolly similar enough that whatever program you're used to, you can make it work with. ?

Interesting tutorial indeed. I do use a very similar technique for some of my effects, so I can confirm this is appliable even to prehistoric versions of photoshop. :classic_biggrin:

And this would fit perfectly into the club's tutorials, nice share ! ?

Yeah, I think all the stuff I use has been in Photoshop forever, My first copy was elements 5. Even back then the core of the program was still solid. All they add in the new versions is just facebooker stuff.

Fifth version is probably evolved enough. I have Elements first of his name, and there are extremely few layer styles, you can't customize them, you can't add custom brushes, the semi-automated detouring tools are unstable and imprecise... So I have trouble for tears and blood for example, as most tutorials do feature "Hey it's easy" tools that aren't in my version. ?

However I believe nearly anything could be done with it, it's just harder/longer the older the version is. Smiley_jap_HFR.gif

I'm used to my Photoshop Elements version, so that might bias my vision. But... jeez, Gimp isn't an intuitive one. ?

Yep. Tools have improved since then. ^^

I had it for editing Skyrim textures and then when I started doing the comics I just used it because it was what I had. Probably not the best but I don't really do effects or anything so it's fine.

Well it's good at file formats handling, and it has quite a few brushes. That put aside, it can handle layers as well, but Photoshop is more powerful in that regard, and possibly easier to use. In the end, we do with what we've got ! ?
