False Starts, Episode 5: Talrandu

Some Assembly Required   A Dunmer machine master, Dwemer enthusiast, and all-around cool dude, Talrandu was probably my most heavily modded character at the time (November of 2012).   For his own reasons, he replaced nearly all of his body with Dwemer machines, and went on to refurbish his own personal army of automatons. Not much else to say here except to point out that we had animated meshes figured out by one year into Skyrim's existence.

False Starts, Episode 4: Laverna Veleda

And like any good thief, she got away and never came back.   Laverna was yet another in a long, well spaced stream of attempts to create an Imperial character. This one was to be a thief, unrelated to Kallista's plot unlike Yueda. She originates from November of 2014.   Her hook was to be a ring mod I realized I had installed. Her ring specifically was the Ring of Khajiiti, which aided her immeasurably in her thieving. Beyond that, I recall little of her. Looking back, damn th

False Starts, Episode 3: Yueda

Even good ideas can fail...   Looking back, I realize how much I really liked this design. At the time I remember being really proud of her. She didn't turn out as Asian as I'd hoped, and getting armor for her was a chore, but then and now, I think this is a really good design. And, somehow, from August of 2016! I could have sworn she was from before I moved out of my old house, but hey, just goes to show how far some of my false start characters have faded in my memory, I guess...

False Starts, Episode 2: Largash gro-Balmung

What, did you think it was only gonna be women? Poor Largash. Poor, poor Largash. Another very early character (March of 2012, with Cordelia coming in late November 2011(!)). If I had to pick one of these that I feel the worst about abandoning, it would probably be Largash. He was a simple man, an Orc with piercing blue eyes, intended to be a light-armored, axe-wielding badass. I did play him a bit, but, oh, alas poor Largash, this is your only screenshot. Man, looking back at pre-Climates o

False Starts, Episode 1: Cordelia

We're off to a rough start...     Cordelia was a Breton priestess of Dibella. But she was called in a slightly... lewder direction. No, she heard the call of Paika. (Also, cameo appearance of my utterly half-assed archaic nude texture! Go me!)     Not familiar with Paika? Long story short, she's the apex goddess in the mod Claudia's Little Secret, a mod whose development I was somewhat involved in (the Cunil Ignus ruin was my work). Cordelia was intended to be a sort o

False Starts, Episode 0: what is even happening

So due to some RL stuff, I won't be posting much in the next couple of weeks. This isn't really a change from my usual inconsistent schedule, so you, the end reader, won't really notice any change. But I damn sure will! It got me to thinking, though. I should do something, set something up so that when I get back online, I'll have some stuff to read and so will you. And it hit me, the perfect idea... So, have you ever started a fresh toon, spent time on his or her face, coordinated an outfit,

Northern Exposure

It's been far too long... Kallista thought to herself. The thick fur shawl she wore slid against bare flesh beneath as she moved about, stimulating nipples stiffened by the occasional burst of cold air catching her just the right way. She hadn't had the time lately to partake of one of her favorite activities, the distinct lack of dragons this far south affording her some time to indulge herself.

Body Talk, Other Talk

Gotta admit, it's kind of interesting seeing the results of screwing the pooch like I did.   Homeless, Homesick has 12 likes and four comments that aren't me responding.   A Tale of Two Kallistas has only 6 likes.   And the blog post immediately following that, an entry in my flagship series The Tutelage of Neloth, garnered one comment and 4 likes.   What makes that worse is how silent I've been on the issues brought up in the TTK post. I even posted a Tutelage without bothering to clari

The Tutelage of Neloth - Creative Haggling

"Can you do it in one month?" Selune asked Belethor. The Breton eyed the list she had handed him, his expression one of resignation and annoyance. "That's pretty short notice for some of this," he pointed out. "Give me a month and a half and I can guarantee it." "You've worked miracles before for us, Belethor," Selune said. "My Master requires several of those ingredients be as fresh as possible. One month is already pushing it. I can't give you any more." "I don't know..." Belethor sa

A Tale of Two Kallistas

Prime Kallista / Barbarian Kallista As far as my Skyrim install is concerned, there are two distinct continuities - a "prime" timeline, and an alternate timeline. The Prime timeline is usually more serious or grounded, while the alternate timeline is where I can relax a bit and have fun with the characters in more unusual (and often lewd) ways. In the case of Kallista specifically, which is what this blog post is mainly dealing with, the difference is pretty obvious. Starting from this blo

Homeless, Homesick

Late one evening, Runil wandered home from the inn. His feet were a bit unsteady from the mead, but he knew this walk by heart. Falkreath was covered with a thick fog this particular evening, air choked with moisture as thunder rumbled in the distance. He gazed out over the peaceful cemetery, candles flickering in the mist, when something unusual caught his eye. A late visitor knelt, wreathed in candlelight. "Excuse me," Runil called out, approaching the figure, "I'm afraid the cemetary is off-l

Question/Poll: Characters breaking their "rules" with creatures?

Creature sex isn't for everyone. Not every character will suck horse cock willingly, or let a bunch of Rieklings gangbang them, or even something as relatively simple as let a dog lick their genitals until they climax. But there are exceptions to every rule. A certain set of circumstances that would make such behavior... less objectionable, albeit still far from ideal. Though not pertaining strictly to creatures, you can look at Selune's deal with Neloth as a parallel example. She'd never in he

More NiOPoseAdjustment Fuckery for the Curious.

For those of you who may not have been directed here by my Counterparts Thread post, this blog post is a simple set of before and after pics where I show what a pose looked like before and after using NiOPoseAdjustments. This is just for those curious, or for those wondering just how powerful this tool can be even in the hands of an amateur with little grasp on how a body can or should move. Each spoiler is a separate before/after set, in that order. Some contain nudes. Enjoy!

In which I play with Kallista's breasts.

So I was playing with a new mod that came out a little while ago called NiOverridePoseAdjustments, which allows for in-game tweaking of poses by altering the pitch, roll, and yaw of various bones. It's not powerful enough to let you create new poses on the fly, being that it produces a lot of oddities in mesh deformation. But for small adjustments, and even medium ones if you can mask the weird shapes that start to crop up, it's a godsend.   I noticed playing with its features that it can cont

Something to Prove

They tried to warn me. I thought I was ready. I had seen so much. I can create weapons and armor from the souls of Daedra. I've bound demons to my will. I've taken life, and willed the dead to become the unliving. It takes a sturdy soul to stand strong in the winds of darkness. But this... this was no wind. It was a wave, tall and mighty, crashing upon me with as much force as I could handle. And I know now, beyond that wave is an ocean I can never know. I made the mistake of thinking I could

Five Hundred Visions: A Dragonborn's Retrospective

Kallista Scelsvir Brander. She was the first character I rolled for Skyrim, as part of a standing tradition I had kept since Morrowind - my first characters must be a sexy, blonde, blue-eyed Nord. What started as a simple teenager's hormones doing what they do has, somehow, become a legacy stretching across Eras. To celebrate five hundred (numbered) screenshots, I've decided to create a retrospective of sorts, showing some highlights of her evolution to the woman you see today.   Mind the spoi

The Tutelage of Neloth - Getting the Goat(man)

This one is a little outside my usual comfort zone, but only a little. Language is slightly more coarse. I'm probably overhyping this but since it is a bit different from usual I thought a warning was prudent. Let me know if I'm over-worrying, and enjoy!   "The moons are aligned," Neloth said. "It's time."   "Yes, it is," Selune replied.     Bonuses! An unused shot and some strictly non-canon and out-of-character cock ogling.

Beach Bums (and Boobs (mostly Boobs))

Kallista's Set Wherein she shows off her new body to full effect on a peaceful morning on a beach that's probably not as private as it should be.     Selune's Set Wherein she finds a nice, secluded beach far from prying eyes and decides to enjoy the privacy to an almost out-of-character degree.     Eldawen's Set Wherein in a far more in-character manner she takes a night walk and decides cover of darkness is enough for uncover of assets.

The Tutelage of Neloth - A Day at the Beach

No story for my return, sadly, but a thematically appropriate series of captioned screenshots that kinda tell their own story! Enjoy! Selune has a lot of pull in Neloth's organization, but wherever they go, there's no question who's really in charge.

Mother-Daughter Bonding... The (Mostly) Normal Kind!

I'm not comfortable promising anything, but I think I've nailed down my camera problem. As part of my troubleshooting testing, and in potentially premature celebration, I finished that screenshot set I posted a few tidbits out of in my last entry. Some of these are repeats from that last entry, but there's quite a bit more now that I've completed it! So without further ado, I present...   Mother-Daughter Bonding!   Eldawen's Set   Selune's Set And fina

Apologies

So you may have noticed I haven't posted a new set of note since Raelyndreth's intro. In case you don't poke the tech support forums, the reason for this is my Skyrim install has been pretty fucky. Camera issues are plaguing my ability to screenshoot. I'm having memory issues loading savegames making my textures look funny and hurting the game's stability. And most frustrating of all, Skyrim likes to lock up now and won't relinquish control of the mouse for me to shut it down via Task Manager, f

Raelyndreth

She's still a bit young and hasn't had a background really jump out at me yet so this will be brief but I like her so much I can't not properly introduce her.       Born in Kvatch, Raelyndreth is the daughter of a hunter and a tailor. Her mother, a full-blooded Bosmer, hunted more as a hobby than anything else, but made extra coin for the family by selling the better pelts she'd return with. Her father, half Bosmer and half Breton, was the real breadwinner, serving as the go-to tailor f

The Dawn of a New Era

Everything went pretty well! New motherboard, new processor, double the RAM of my previous build!   Unfortunately, though not unexpectedly, my GPU is severely bottlenecking me still. So while these improvements seem to be helping a little (Fallout 4, while still pretty bad, played slightly smoother on higher settings than I recall), I'm not quite where I hoped I would be.   Gonna be a while before I can squirrel enough away for a GPU but it shouldn't be a problem, just a question of time.
