Make sure nothing is overwriting DD or DCL. That would indicate patches or possible incompatible mods.

A list of incompatible mods is on the troubleshooting post.

 

Install DD 5.1 if you don't have it. DD 5.0 is on the first post, install that first. Then get the DD 5.1 upgrade file from the troubleshooting post and install that over DD 5.0.

Yep, DD 5.1 install fixed the issue. A bit counterintuitive, but I put it AFTER the SLIF patches for DD 5.0 and now it's working, so I'm suspecting there's something wrong with those patches that I just never noticed on my laptop due to how my mod load order was set up by LOOT. Thanks for the help. Now I just need to figure out why HDT chains work on all races except argonians and khajiit...

If you're using SLIF, get the patches from the troubleshooting post. Don't use the ones in the SLIF patches, that's extremely out of date and will cause issues.

 

 

Edit: The HDT chains aren't working on males and beast races for two reasons:

1. Because I'm updating the xmls to not conflict with any patches kimy puts out - for some reason the HDT xmls were included in the 5.1 LE upgrade, which messed things up for SE users who converted it. So the xml names are different now
2. I had a brain fart and didn't realize that the male/beast chains needed converted from HDT PE

 

I plan on fixing the chains for DD 5.2. If it takes too long, i may put up a patch.

 

You can fix it by going into the nif (you need to extract the BSAs) and changing the string type and pointing it to the right xml. Be aware that prisoner chains are likely to be a problem anyway as pfiffy had to edit the nif to keep it from crashing. I'd recommend copying the DD one and renaming it to match the for him/brrf name, then resizing the nif in outfit studio to fit males. Use the base DD chain nifs as an example.

 

NiStringsExtraData needs to be NiStringExtraData (change from multi string to single string)

The value needs to be "HDT Skinned Mesh Physics Object"

The xml names are below, you need to put the full path from meshes as the string:

Ok, has anyone gotten hobble dresses to work with males? i want to check cuz I thought i built them, but if not i can do it again. Currently stuck in the white hobble leather dress open and its made me invisible. most of the other gear seems to work fine though, i'll just have to get some keys with additem menu and get myself out.

There's no bodyslides for the males. The meshes are prebuilt for them. Have you installed For Him in DD 5.0/5.1? You should not be using the standalone For Him with DD 5.0/5.1.

Both White Leather Hobble Dress (Open) and White Leather Hobble Dress (Extreme) (Open) work for me on a test.

i was trying to use brave tor, then switched to tor browser, brave would crash at ~76% every time, and tor was bugged so that after i waited my hour to finish it wouldn't reset my max, needed to hard restart, and got it fixed after 30hr

That shouldn't make the outfit completely invisible. At most, you should only have either minor or major clipping. I can't see any size custom body that would completely engulf the lower part of the dress, near the ankles.

 

Take a look at the device hider in the DD MCM and try disabling it. Maybe you've accidentally set something to make outfits invisible - I did that once.

The animations don't seem to be working. I'm testing out multiple devices and usually what happens is my character's hands disappear and they use vanilla animations. I've installed all the requirements, I've run FNIS, I've built bodyslide, I've completely reinstalled FNIS, and I've reloaded my save after DD was registered in MMC.

Don't test with the DDa outfits, not all of them have scripts attached. Test with the DDx outfits.

For gags, you need MFG Fix, which also requires Address Library.

I replied on the aroused modular thread too. I've seen this as well since switching to modular. I think it's likely on the modular end since I haven't heard of an issue with the redux version.

I don't have another workaround other than reloading a save - the zaz reset player controls may be better short term.

I could have sworn Devious Cursed Loot is the mod that affects equipment. 

However without that installed I am experiencing this feature despite turning all events to 0 on Devious Devices.

 

I want to know how to disable the Devious Equipment event upon equipping gear. 

Other Devious devices mods I have installed are Devious Followers and SD+ however I don't think those two mods affect equipment.

I am not too familiar with DF or SD+, so they might be responsible for your issue. However, a mod that I know for sure triggers a behavious similar to what you describe is devious mimin clothes. Do you have it installed by chance? I have never had Cursed Loot triggering devices on unequip events

Yeah I read that Devious Mimic Clothes does do what I described however I do not have it installed. 

Will check my list again to see if a mod actually function similar.

This was the error message, not the load order list. I have all the prerequisites installed and they are all active. The problem is that the mod won't actually install. I tried again just now and I saw a quick flash of "Internal script error."

You installed and deployed all the prereqs in the mod section, then went to the plugin section and made sure the plugins were enabled?

All deployed, all installed. The one exception is the SkuUI that for some reason will not stay active and it's pissing me off. That said, it's not calling SkyUI out as an error so I can't figure out wtf is going on with this ?

Ok, I dug up vortex again, and I'm not seeing an issue installing this mod.

 

Not sure why you're using loot with vortex - vortex has loot built in. For all we know, loot is looking in the wrong place.

If everything is enabled there, and skyui isn't staying enabled, try making sure vortex is up to date, and if it is, try reinstalling it. You should be able to leave the mod folders alone, so it detects them on reinstall.

Sometimes with vortex two things might happen

1. The Plugin isn't enabled under plugins.  Solution Go Check and Enabled it Under Plugins

2. It will say something is missing till things are deployed and then it will clean itself up.  This is because it doesn't always update the Plugin list when you install mods.

 

Random Note: One thing a lot of people miss with Vortex is that in the Plugins menu you can create groups and control when those groups of plugins load, most Nexus mods have a group assigned for LL mods it's best to assign a group if you find you need to adjust the load order.

First time installing so forgive me if I'm missing something glaringly obvious-- I have a stable list that consists of the LS2 modlist + whatever LL mods I like that work well with each other. I'm really interested in trying out DD, but I'm having trouble getting it working. Without it enabled, the game runs great, but I can't even get to the load screen with DD enabled. 

 

I'm using the latest version available on the main download page (5.0.7), and I have DD for him and the Beast Race refits. I'm also using Devious Followers and Devious Lore, but with both of those out of the picture I still crash. 

 

So, I've got some questions:

 

1. Can someone point me to a quick walkthrough of how to run everything through bodyslide? I haven't done it before and want to make sure I do it correctly.
2. Are there any mods that are incompatible with DD? Happy to include the full modlist and load order if you want it, but for reference the LL mods (minus SoS and a few others that need to be higher in the load order) are close to the bottom, similar to the setup in this walkthrough. I've included the order within MO2 for all the mods in that section in a spoiler below. For the ones that have multiple ESPs, I'm just following what I'm told except for when told otherwise (i.e., "beast refits" after "for him").

If anyone can help me it'd be much appreciated, it's probably something basic but after messing around with things for a few hours I thought it might be nice to get some help. Any suggestions to improve the load order of this section or warnings on some difficult mods are welcome as well!
