Haha, SNSD was the only Korean pop group I've ever been interested in. They really were the best! Not that I have any frame of reference, but they simply were. ?

 

Yuri is gorgeous, I'm not surprised to see her as favourite. I had to laugh when I read some (ridiculous) people considered her to be too dark skinned to be beautiful.

 

I liked most of their songs in Japanese even more, e.g. Galaxy Supernova, Karma Buttefly, Mr. Taxi. The music videos for the Japanese audience seemed a little more polished and the girls' Japanese was quite good (from what I could tell).

Haha, well you chose a wonderful group to take interest in. They were one of the first few groups I listened to that indoctrinated me into whole Korean pop music scene. Yes, SNSD is top tier, a lot of the groups I listen to now always reference them as a group they aspire to be like.

 

I know! When I look at her compared to the other girls, she’s not even that tan/dark. I think it’s a bit of a culture thing, which made me sad. The pigmentation of anyone’s skin shouldn’t determine beauty. She is so sweet, and one of their best dancers after Hyoyeon. 

I listened to a few of their Japanese songs, Love & Girls was so catchy, I remember playing it all the time while I was in school. I noticed that too when I first got into them. When I first saw the Gee and Genie music videos in Japanese I wondered why their outfits were styled better than the other videos.

A reboot of Rebecca Kinsley, because she's one of my favorites and she deserves a proper story.  Who is she, and why does she start as a broke teen prostitute living alone?

 

She starts as an orphan, who ran away from foster care.  Some of the families were pretty decent, but the last one, foster Dad wanted to... do things to her.  She didn't understand until later she had just jumped from the frying pan into the fire.  She ended up the property of a pimp, a dark skinned vampire and a nasty piece of work.  I never did see him again after Rebecca registered her debt, I guess he was happy the money was coming in?  His 75% cut meant she pretty much just got by.

 

She has a run-down apartment in the Spice district.  It has the Cursed lot trait, she set the stove on fire many, many times.  Which also contributed to her just barely getting by.

 

Santa!  WTF?  As you can see, Rebecca grows her own.

 

Rebecca has become close friends with Gemma Charm.  She's gotten her to change to a more flattering hairstyle, and advised her she would look better in whites and brights.  Her color choices before made it look like she was trying to be invisible.

 

 

Minerva:  "Gemma honey, this Becky you talk about all the time, I'd really like to meet her.  Would you invite her over, please?"

Gemma:  "Um..."

"Why are you so hesitant?  She's a very important person in your life, and I really want to meet her."

"Ok, but you need to understand... We're close because we're both outcasts at school.  Me, for being the ugly duckling.  Her, because... she's a hooker."

"A prostitute?  Really?"

"She only does it to survive!  She's got no one."

"Well.  I still want to meet her.  And maybe there's something we can do for her."

Rebecca's parents turn out to have been Minerva's daughter and son-in-law.  They had made a bad enemy in Vladislav Straud, and one day the magical community learned that the Kinsley's home was trashed, blood everywhere, and no bodies.  Minerva insisted Rebecca move in immediately and leave her life, such as it was, behind.  They talked late into the night, filling in Rebecca on what they knew of Rebecca's parents' fate, and Rebecca telling Minerva what she remembered of where she had been.

 

 

 

So a few game hours after Rebecca moved into the Charm household, I realized I needed to actually make Rebecca's mother.  Because everybody kept wanting to fuck her.  So, I made Miranda Charm Kinsley, Rebecca's mother and Minerva's daughter.  And then immediately killed her off.  So now everybody knows how they're related to her, and since nobody has the Incest trait, they leave her alone.  Emilia went off to work as soon as I took control of the Charms, so I guess I'll find out if she tries to carry on with her fiancé's niece.

That's totally true? it's been very frustrating as the beach is like a 10-15 walk from my doorstep ?

Dunno. Whenever I attend meetings in California it seems like it was always cold on the beach, even in August. I was raised on the East coast, and I remember it being warmer at 'the shore' at that time of year.
