Jeff_9 Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 (edited) I finally have most of my installation updated, sorted out, and backed up. There are still a few minor issues, but I'll fix them as I go along. Now I'm working on player character ideas. I've been playing around with the idea of a wanderer who's a werebear. It would be for a short roleplay, of course. I set his weight to 100, to make him look strong like a bear in human form. I had a hard time deciding on weapons and armor, so I had him running around in just his trousers. Because I had no weapons, I had to use my fists on the wolves you encounter on the way to Whiterun. I then helped the Companions with the giant trespassing on the farm, again using just my fists. It had me wondering if it's a viable approach to combat. So I enchanted the arm bandages with the enchantment used for "Gloves of the Pugilist" that you can acquire in the Riften Ratway. However, I doubled the strength of the effect. To my amusement, I ended up one-shotting bandits and other foes, triggering finishers. I was throwing them around like ragdolls and flat out bullying them. It doesn't make any sense to run into battle with only your fists when your opponents have armor, shields, and weapons. But it was fun for 20 minutes. Edited December 5, 2025 by Jeff_9 2

HM1919 Posted December 13, 2025 Posted December 13, 2025 (edited) Doing "Dragon Rising" the easy way. Irileth looked at me like: "Really dude? You bring four people to fight a single dragon? What kind of hero are you?" The kind that likes to be able to go home in the evening.😄 Spoiler Consequently the following dragon-fight was more like a dragon-execution.😁 Spoiler Also: Obligatory NSFW-fun stuff before heading out. Jeff_9 Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 I have never done the civil war questline in Skyrim SE/AE, so I created a character for it. I have Lydia with me going up the 7,000 steps. A frost troll tried to ambush us. Taking in the sights on the way up. 5
Jeff_9 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I had to travel to Serpentstone Isle and defeat an ice wraith to prove my worthiness. As I was returning to Windhelm with the Jagged Crown, a beautiful night was interrupted by a dragon attack. The battle for Whiterun was epic. This is my favorite scene in the game. 3
Nwahs Gone Wild Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 I was checking out the changes around Windhelm's farms (courtesy of JK's exterior mods) earlier. I ended up opening a random outhouse and got quite a fright. A NPC from the populated cities mod was sitting on the toilet whilst holding a cup; she was sporting a rather annoyed expression. I awkwardly closed the door and nope'd out of there. Come to think of it, in retrospect; I hope it was just ale in that cup of hers. 2
Ronin79 Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 FINALLY finished patching 3dnpcs to work with my new mod list, which already had nine different mods that all add new npcs/enemies all over the game. Everything is thoroughly tested, and stable after many hours of fuckery in the CK, and lots of frustration. I've never actually done a playthrough with all these mods running at once, so it should be interesting. I'm restarting my sexy vampire necromancer playthrough, and will be making a blog for her adventures soon. All that's missing from my game at this point is more sexy vampire armor, but I'm working on backporting some to LE. In the meantime... This will have to do... 2
Nwahs Gone Wild Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Currently working towards giving Viola Giordano a much needed UBE revamp. Obligatory Dunmer shitpost: Spoiler 1
Ronin79 Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Ilsa enjoying the rainy weather near Riverwood after snacking on a den full of bandits. And dealing with the effects of my custom vampire overhaul that makes arousal go crazy after every feeding... Spoiler 4
Ronin79 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Practical Necromancy can't be backported to LE, so since I have the day off, I spent some time tweaking an old mod "Better Dead Thralls" to do most of what it does, minus separating necromancy into a separate perk tree. It seems to be working so far. I also backported the patch to make the new "draugrs" mod work with undead FX, and this is the result. 2
Grey Cloud Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Test-running around Skyrim checking out various changes. Not too shoddy so far. This was Winterhold exterior. Stepped into the Frozen Hearth and 'holy ravioli'. There's at least 26 people in there and probably closer to 30. A fight broke out as soon as I entered and everyone was running around like crazy. As soon as the fight ended everyone left the inn. I looted the body as soon as the fight ended and I could get through the crowd. I didn't get chance to see where all these people came from. I haven't got my army of followers intalled yet which will add even more bodies to the inn. Epic battle at Fort Kastav. At least 14 on the radar here. No idea how many I've killed at this point but I've still got at least 12 on the radar. TGM for the win.
HM1919 Posted January 24 Posted January 24 (edited) I knew this was possible but had never encountered it in my own game so far: Giant "riding" dragon near Fort Greymoor.😆 Spoiler Edited January 24 by HM1919 1

LE: SE/AE: The only thing SE/AE is good for is the new combat/animation mods. I tried to make the switch, but I always end up sticking with LE, because it looks fantastic with ENB. 1
Grey Cloud Posted January 31 Posted January 31 On the road to Riften from Ivarstead, just past the turn-off for Sarethi farm. Came across a fight between a couple of Thalmor and a couple of humans and a couple of wolves. Thalmor and wolves all dead and the two humans in bleed-out. Turns out the humans are no other than Thorald and Avulstein Gray-Mane. 😲 I did Missing in Action days ago (IRL days). I've report back to Fralia and the quest is closed. 1

Clean out the IMODs and you'll get a decent foundation out of SE/AE. It's the first thing I did in SE, and I made sure it was possible to do before I bought it. I made an xEdit script for this. PM me if you want it. It does the following: Fix saturation Fix brightness Fix contrast Fix tint Fix HDR (eye adapt and bloom) This together with a few ini edits and the result is a properly saturated and sharp Skyrim on which you can build. When others use ReShade together with CS to get decent colors, I only use CS. Why blur the image to hell only to then sharpen it back to something decent later. Why desaturate, only to try to restore colors later. The cons of this is that basically no ENB will be color balanced. Everyone assumes a blurry, bloomed and desaturated base, so everything related to this tends to be turned up to 11 to compensate. Easy to adjust yourself though. CS I didn't have to do anything to, that worked right out of the box. Same with my weather mod. Edit: I also have an xEdit script for making nights darker the proper way, i.e. no sunglasses effect, no tint overlay. Again, PM me if interested. Edit again: Oh, what am I doing right now in Skyrim? Does helping people on LL count as "in Skyrim"? Edited January 31 by traison 1
