Took me forever to figure out, but if anyone is using the replacer version of Tail Armors you'll turn into the Invisible Femboy.

 

Edit: Sorry if it's been answered elsewhere, but why exactly is it that the bodyslide doesn't work straight of the box for unsupported outfits? Is it just because of the custom bodytype that makes things invisible?

The game looks through a list of races to see which body to apply underneath the armor. If your custom race hasn't been added to the list, it can't find a match and doesn't know which version to apply so you end up with none. That's my very limited understanding of it at least. Tails probably add another factor but I have no experience with non-human/elf races.

 

I don't think armor being invisible is anything to do with bodyslide, normally if it's incompatible but you use a vanilla race it will just change your body shape while wearing the outfit.

I know with some mods like Devious Devices that isn't the case and it just won't show up until you run it through bodyslide but I can't say why, I'd guess it's something like the mesh needing slider data for weight and there is nothing there until bodyslide adds it.

It's not entirely clear what your problem is, I assume you tried to change race in racemenu and it wasn't in the list? 

If you're dragging files into the data folder I'd suggest downloading Mod Organizer and watching a lot of tutorials, finding problems in a manual install is not easy and not many people will be willing to help.

 

Focus on getting just the naked body and its direct requirements working first, then add the mods you want from the list of patches one at a time and test they work correctly before installing the next. Don't forget to use bodyslide, seems obvious but for some it might not be.

 

Custom races can be a real pain in the ass so it may be better to leave this mod for a later playthrough, once you're a bit more experienced. If you're determined, getting this mod alone working shouldn't be too hard, it's more of an issue once you start wanting to use other mods that change your character.

See that last part is what's tripping me up about this race, because any time I wear custom armor on a custom race and they have no relation to each other they still work. I did see the scale for the femboy race is a bit lower than most characters.

That and maybe my issue is trying to put the poor guy in a dress and I end up making him a pair of disembodied limbs instead. I guess my mistake was figuring since they wear female variants of armor the same would work for other female armors, though if I were to guess without looking at the files in reality it's actually a race specific retexture but it's still counted in the game as male.

Yeah I was having the same result with all of TheDaedricDolls outifts, I'm not sure what's different that would make that happen but it's probably something simple that I just haven't learned to look for yet.

What's the dress mod you're having trouble with? I'll try playing around with it tomorrow because it's something I'd like to try to figure out for myself too lol

 

Edit: Okay so I made some progress already, I noticed that if i swapped gender in racemenu to female it would show up like it should but as a male it made the entire body vanish. It seems that some outfits that aren't meant for males at all replace the male world model with something else which I guess makes sense for pretty much everything excluding crossdressing lol

I just copied the model from the female version and pasted it in the male spot which stopped it being invisible on the male body. It still had fairly large breasts so I used bodyslide to scale them down to flat for just that outfit and it's pretty much perfect except for the shading.

Yeah this is actually what I started doing, but when I went in to test if it worked at all the race refused to start up u3u. I'm thinking it's because I changed the Bad Kid hairstyle for the khajiit to female and I need to change it back and reinstall the core mod for the race.

As for what I was trying to convert it's really whatever I think would look nice on him, but right now I'm testing it out on Osare's Underwear for SE.

Mod Creator here, Basic custom race work becaus ethey us ethe default body that the player has installed (either vanilla, sos, ect)

And whent looking for armor when you equip one it look thru the (default race category) which enables them to not have any issue.

 

Now see it this way, the male will use the default male body, and default armor for male, with them having the shape base body.

Female same way, default female body, default female armor with the shape varying from the base shape (like the weight slider from 1-100)

 

But now here the problem, if the Femboy race was using the "default race tag"

The male femboy would use the vanila male body and the female femboy would use the vanilla female body ( or SOS and cbbe you get what I mean)

And that would also translate for armor, so the textures would mistmach, mess would clip and have gaps, femboy would have tits. and wouldnt have custom armor.

 

So for the femboy to work I had to create a "Femboy category" where the body, and all armor falls into.

thus enabling the femboy race to have a unique body type, and armor set without affecting the default male and female.

 

Other custom race dont change the body if barely.

The best example of a race mod that works like mine is the amazonian one, where the female race is full of women on steroid level of muscle.

Love the mod, best of its kind!  I'm having some issues with the Cumshot patch.  It seems to be looking for "cumshot.esp" but the cumshot mod esp is titled "sexlab cumshot.esp".  I'm using the version of cumshot listed on the first page of this mod.  Cheers!

Hmm....they might have change the file name, try removing "sexlab" from the name if you dont other mod relying on it.

This is how you do it. You'll need to make the conversions yourself. This is how I did it for another replacer mod.

 

1. Load up Bodyslide.

2. Find the existing femboy version of the armor you want. For example if it was iron armor it would be labeled something like "Femboy - Armor - Iron"

3. Click the button near the top of bodyslide to open Outfit Studio.

4. In Outfit Studio, delete the current outfit and body and go to File > Load Outfit and find the .nif for the remodeled armor. Load that in.

5. Delete the CBBE body.

6. Go to File > Load Reference and navigate to the Femboy body file.

7. At this point, the new body is added but there will be a lot of clipping issues. To resolve this you'll need to select the outfit in the right hand panel (Where you deleted the CBBE body and the previous outfit).

8. Take the tool that increases mesh size, I forget exactly what it's called.

9. Use the tool to increase the size of the mesh until everything fits.

10. Hit Ctrl + S when finished, don't do "Save As" because it should overwrite the existing Femboy outfit since we loaded it directly from bodyslide.

11. Rebuild the body in bodyslide. You'll need to exit and re-enter for everything to work.

I was wondering if a patch for Weapons Armor Clothing and Clutter Fixes will be made and released at some point? It causes all equipped clothing/armor items to be invisible. While not a mod that I would ordinarily take issue with removing, I have another mod installed that is dependent upon it (Armor and Clothing Extension) which I very much do not want to lose.

No not at all.

 

Lost interest in modding for the public due to constant complains that I got during the start of this mod.

Which weren't about issues but complain about the body shape (not being what they want) or why I havent made patches patches for mod that "they" wanted (even though they are thousand of mods out there which would be insane to expect me to patch.)

Bah I draw for a living, so makin sprite is quite easy.
