How do you go about swapping some of the models in MNC with a different model? most everything is in Data\meshes\MoreNastyCritters anything not found in there will be in it's stock game location (or still hidden away in the game's bsa files)

I think I might be a bit dumb, there is more to it than just deleting the old meshes and dropping in the new ones right?

When I download 3files(001,002,003) and try to open 001 with 7zip, but the dialog says "unexpected end of data" and can't open the file(actually I can extract that with 7z file but volume is not changed). I guess something wrong way to open 001 file or the file has some problems. Also I don't understand why delete 002 and 003 file while downloaded. pls give me advise

I know this is really bother you Maybe the file was downloaded wrong because an internet service problem, it is a quite common mistake. Try again.

I can't open 001 file with 7zip... could be one of the files had a corrupted download, or file 7z.001 may have been renamed to 7z.001.rar. if 001's icon looks different than 002 & 003 then it may have gotten renamed when you downloaded it, if so you will need to turn on "view file extensions" / "view known extensions" in windows so you can delete .rar from the name. The error was not corrupted file and also not wrong extebsions. It was because too many redownloads to be changed file name as a"---.7z (3).001" or like this. I don't know that it is the reason which is changing the name "v15_1A" to "v15_1" Thank you for your advices and efforts.

I've been experimenting for almost a week now and there are always some where the creature just plays an idle during the animation while the human NPC animates normally. Can't figure it out. I've even got giants to animate properly somehow (including females), but creatures like spriggans/bears/undead/hagravens/goats just don't play. Tried with normal spawns, reanimated corpses, creatures summoned via spells.

However, there is a way to get them to mostly coexist. I struggled with this for a while as well [because I like the modern combat overhauls, dodge mechanics and combat animations that have come out over the past year or two and don't want to give them up for a sex mod ] but this is the tutorial that worked for me. Make sure to follow it exactly: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/54702 The important distinction between this and other guides I've found is that with this one, both FNIS and Nemesis engines are disabled by the end of the process, meaning only the two output mods and FNIS Creature Pack are active. LOOT will bitch at you about the engines not being active when XPMSE is in the load order, but from what I've seen, it doesn't actually cause any issues. At most, this setup has only occasionally caused animations to lock up for me. Reloading or restarting the game works pretty much every time, though I make a habit of making a real save [vs. Auto/quicksave] every little while just in case the current save doesn't want to cooperate and I have to jump back a few saves. But that's just good practice when playing a heavily modded game anyway, and I have only ever needed to do it once due to my own mistakes with mod installation. Edited July 2, 2023 by Dr.Octogonapus

I'll give your link a try and see if it works. From what I've heard Vortex is an absolute nightmare to get working correctly. The way it operates means it's constantly fighting with your system security, plus it tends to do direct file changes. Which means it causes all sorts of chaos when you need to remove a mod from your list due to genuine conflicts with something else.
