Doubt you still play but I gotta ask. I'm not sure if i'm doing it right or wrong, the Commando (+ Ayame's Apron) that shows just the lingerie doesn't work for me, just makes them naked. Even swapped them on different outfits, still the same (expect that)

How do you get just their lingerie to show instead of nude? I thought that if you installed just an invisible mod, such as bubbles, without the commando mod, that it would show the girls in their panties and bra. Instead, was happens is there is no bra, and the panties are all weird, partially inside the model and partially out, it's obviously messed up looking. Did I do something wrong? Can anyone help me figure out how to install a mod that will show the girls  in their panties and bra?

So I need an updated tldr of this game's modding efforts.

 

I was able to skew a couple of threads, starting on page 27 and onwards, and so far, I have seen some people been able to get many mods worked on ver 1.08, and some people were able to get mods to work on 1.08 even without "updating" them. I would like the og The Butler to answer this since he organized the OP and collected enough info here but: As of now, all the mods in the OP work for 1.08 or do we still need to wait until all of them are compatible? In one post, you said that to make some of the mods be compatible it's easier using hex editing tools, although time consuming, but how would that even work? What exactly changed from 1.06 to the current version in terms of hex and bytes? So far, VAC reports have not been mentioned when using these mods even those that worked on 1.08 without editing the mods that were compatible from 1.06; I got a tldr on what this VAC means, and I think this risk of VAC really depends on what the developers consider cheating online. From my experience, cheaters online usually have ridiculous stats that give them absurd advantages in matches or be invincible to damage or any losses. A player online using a different model or texture isn't really cheating online as far as I am concerned, even so, I would like a TLDR of the current situation before I even consider modding this game. Otherwise I'll just go and play a modded EV.

 

Frankly, I just came to mod this game for three main things: Customized body proportions; smooth skin textures and high quality nudes (with proper rendered genitals and all). The rest are just extras, tbh. If the mentioned three are still compatible with 1.08 no problem; then that's fine by me.

i tried a couple mods , especially one you're curious about (smooth skin textures) after a fresh install of the game and it played like normal

Texture files in 1.08 need to be DXT1 DDSs with a resolution limit of 1024 by 1024, that is the only reason old mods crash. You can scale and recompile images yourself with image editing. I have modded the game up and down and all around, the vac doesn't care, it's just looking for cheat engine.

Yeah that's what I gathered so far. It seems to be some texture issues. I find that really dumb for these games. These games were made using consoles that can handle really high definition but somehow they are restricted to certain texture scales. Says a lot about the quality of said game.

.DDS textures are way easier for all engines to use because of mipmapping since it save a lot of resources.
Thnks to mipmaps games can make far away object use less resources by using a mipmap version of that texture which will also improve performance.
In a single scene a lot of textures are loaded at the same time, so having 4k~8k textures load each time you look around would be pretty demanding to any rig.
That's why almost all game use .DDS textures. In most case the Engine itself will create/convert original texture assets to .dds format because of that.
With all that said .DDS textures have higher file size.
With this game in particular, coding was made with a texture of 1024x1024 in mind.
So going above that value would demand more of the game engine which could cause longer loading times, CTD, and other bad stuff due to file size.

So in short.
.DDS textures make it so game can run more smoothly by using mipmaps.

So not sure if this was addressed here, but when I installed the nude mods and some transparency mods, the School Cup crashes the game from round 2 and onwards and has made the tourney mode virtually unplayable with mods. I literally had to uninstall the mods just to unlock Kagura. Anyone know by any chance what mod is the culprit for this? Is it a texture mod?

Hey, @The Butler, I have found that the Softman Realistic 1.0 is very problematic. It seems to be the cause of the game crashing and returning users to the Steam menu. I tested it just now. The main crash points so far have been the V-road School Cup Round 2 during the loading screen and Episode 7 of the P-1 Grand Prix finale, also during loading screen. They seem to crash the game at those points. The others mods don't cause issues, at least the ones that allow for a nude, uncensored mod. Softman realistic seems to have something in it that causes crashing in certain parts of the game. I was able to breeze through story mode just fine with it until episode 7 of the final story arc.

 

If anyone here can find a way to fix it, that'd be awesome, but it seems that the Nude Skin mod is the only safe nude skin mod to use. Softman realistic will crash in some parts of the game.

Hi guys, there's just a simple mod I'm looking for and I just wanted to know if it was possible. All I want to do is remove the light censors. I've removed them through the "remove light censor" mod, and the bandages over the boobs are fine with me. The problem is with the lower half during the finishers, there is a large empty glitchy space in their crotch area instead of just a bandage? For a couple of the finisher poses, like the one shown in the example on page 1 of this thread, there is a bandage. But for the rest it's glitched. Any way I can fix this? All I want is to just remove the light censors and have the bandages, nothing else. I'm on 1.08. I would just install the full nude mods, but for some reason certain characters breast sizes become too large when they're not supposed to be, so I'd rather not use it. When there's bandages, they're still the correct size.

So I went with the full nude mod and suddenly Minori's boobs started glitching out. It wasn't like that at startup but I think it went haywire at some point during one of the story matches. I went to the dressing room and it thankfully, only works with some of them, but the bloomers are the ones that make everyone nude so I'd rather stick with those. Any idea what happened and how to fix it?
