Where can I find the older versions of this mod? I don't care to have the latest version, if it's going to cause headaches and break things. The last version worked perfectly fine, I was stupid to replace it with the latest version. This mod broke for so many people, it seems silly to ask us to 50/50 and find the solution on our own. I understand that various mods break from this one and it varies from person to person, but the fact that it breaks any of them shows a fundamental issue with whatever changed between versions. Nobody was having this issue before the update. Why blame other script mods as the culprit, when this one clearly is?

Doing the 50/50 as Nisa recommended worked for me. Found out which mods were broken so removing them for the time being helped load my game and everything else worked perfectly fine. Yeah, it was a little annoying to find out the chain of effect made a lot of mods broken but finding out one mod caused it was a relief.

I chose probably the worst time to return to the game lol 😵. I am only running the latest versions of WW, WP and MCC (nothing else) but i'm still stuck in this choose world loop. I've exchanged messages with all 3 mod creators now and all have responded that their mods should be compatible with the latest patch (and each other) and that the issue is elsewhere.........problem is there is nothing else I can remove

After reading some more in the forum here, removing these two folders allowed my game to load.

Are they inside directly Mods folder?

- C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\KinkyExpansions

- C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\Khlas

As your screenshot shows Khlas mod, this is my setup location of Khlas mod.

- C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\[KMI] Khlas Males Interactions 1.7a (WCC)

Just letting you know, you can't have script file more than 1 folder deep in inside the Mods folder.

Because if you can't be bothered to do the 50/50, you will never find out which one is broken.

The reason Nisa throws a LE is because Nisa was thoughtful enough to include error detection and logging in their mod, precisely so you can know when something is causing a problem. Those errors don't necessarily happen because NWP is broken, but NWP is the mod that is doing all the work to let you know about it. So put in whatever minimal effort is required to find the broken mods, instead of blaming others, would be my suggestion.

Unless you physically deleted your entire mods folder and started from scratch, the most likely cause (I would think) would be a mod - probably a script mod - that you have hidden somewhere that you forgot about. Maybe a tiny mod that you downloaded as a utility, like an extra career, or maybe something that adds holidays or otherwise edits the calendar. Maybe it's one of Kuttoe's mods like Basemental Add-ons or Townie Demographics. Always there in the background, so you forget about it, until it breaks, and now you're at a loss, because you forgot it was even there.

That's where I would start.

At the main (?) screen.. the screen where you have the option of load/continue/new.. hit escape and bring up the menu.

you want GAME OPTIONS and then from the menu on the left click on OTHER.

then click on VIEW CUSTOM CONTENT

Scroll down to the bottom of the pop up and you will see a list of script files that loaded.

Now you can hunt the little buggers down!

I also thought that I might be missing something so I re-installed the game + all dlc, and deleted the mods folder only leaving the latest WW, WP and MCC mods (made sure to make a backup of all my mods becuz fk downloading all that again 😖). Screenshot below shows exactly what's running - what am I missing? image.thumb.png.febe3bbe1a4960a6634ba402a190cff9.png

Also wtf loverslab, let me upload a fking txt doc........error 200 everytime across multiple days?

I dunno, I'm stumped. After you uninstalled the game, before you re-installed it, did you make sure to go back and delete all the relevant directories? If not, maybe something survived? I'm just throwing shit against the wall here. I really don't know.

Does any one know what's up with the bizarre plant tentacle situation? They aren't presenting the usual array of interactions, and then even the bb version of the mature plant has no interactions. My easter hare is sad about the only option being a handjob on the wild plants, lol.

I haven't updated my game yet to the latest patch since it apparently broke things and I'm giving everyone a bit to update before I do, so I'm still running on the last rev.

Really appreciate the detailed response but i've now done everything mentioned and i'm still stuck with this loading error everytime I add WP. I have removed all scripts with the exception of  WW, WP and MCC but still no luck. This is what my mod folder looks like sorted by file type. Am I just being a dumbass and missing something obvious? (Sorry about the screenshots I am unable to upload the error log here I get an upload failed -200 error lol )image.png.51a9faed0f6eed8a161041fa142e1767.png

I needs the Last Exception from that minimal install test.

Also, this makes no sense but I've heard for a few people that just throwing script files into the root moods folder causes issues. Try putting MCC and my mod in their own folders in your The Sims 4/mods folder, like WickedWhims has it's own folder. Remember not to place script mods more than one folder deep however as that will prevent them from loading into the game!

Nearly brought a tear to my eye <3

Modders are much better about this these days than in the olden times, but yes if there isn't an error detector on those injection functions then it can be extremely time intensive to help diagnose weird errors in people's games which are ultimately caused by other mods. Just removing my detection for other broken mods, would just be kicking the can down the road in a way which would be unfair to players, other modders, and those like yourself who provide support!

Although it's tempting at times like these :P Luckily I have sane(er) people in my life to talk me out of doing something crazy :tounge_wink:

Lol, I'm so sorry. Yes returning after a game update can be really hard!

Send me your minimal install test LE, it should clue us in on what's going on.

This is a WW LE, not a WP one, but maybe would be helpful to read it, IMO, this is a WW/WP error... mmmh IDK...

This is an interesting one, but still an injection error....

Howeverrrrrrr, there is a chance what's happening for you is different for others. Do you have any mods which modifies the species tuning file or aging? If so, that would definitely cause this issue if they are out of date.

But if it is from this update,to risk sounding like a broken record, I'm going to repeat the same advice I have for others:

This game update is a bit annoying, if one mod in the injection chain breaks, then it breaks other mods later on too. First, make sure my mod is up to date. Then, What I've been recommending from here on out is for people is to do a 50/50, at least for their script mods. Remove all of your script mods and leave just WW/WP/BMD and MCC/BE if you use them. Then load the game. DONT SAVE, just verify you can load in without an LE. If you do get an LE at this point, send it to me But before you try a minimal install test, also delete the old Nisa LE, otherwise the errors stack in the log).

Then add 50 percent of your script mods in until the error happens again, then remove half and so forth until you find the cause. You can find a link on how to do the 50/50 method here: https://simsafterdark.com/diy-troubleshooting-library/how-to-5050/

But for you specifically, I'd recommend doing a full 50/50 not just a script mod. The error you posted might be from an out of date tuning override, which wouldn't require a script mod.

If LL is being mean on uploading LEs, i recommend trying pastebin.com

You don't need any account, and can upload the raw LE there!

I have same problem. I know its WP, as I disabled all mods one by one. I'm using Mod Manager by gametimedev, and was able to get to point of the only mod that world not load (same issue as "Here is my exception, I have tried a few of the other fixes here as well, but I keep getting the error where I click my house hold, it brings up the loading screen, and then goes back to the screen with all the neighborhoods")

Thumbnail cache and WP folder were deleted to troubleshoot, but even after, same result. All other mods work just fine and everything works.

I have separate folder for WP in Mods, separated for troubleshooting. Disabling it loads the game, enabling it returns to neighborhood screen.

I've got the same problem.
Even with a brand new installation of the game and just WW, WP and BMD (everything up to date) in my mods folder, it throws me back to the worlds screen when I try to load in, then I remove WP, and everything works fine.

I'm not sure what the others people doing with their game, cause for me, my game works perfectly fine (Am I the lucky ones?).

I have latest game patch, latest public version of wickedwhims, and latest public version of wicked perversions, latest public version of Basemental, and the game runs perfectly fine.

Jealous of the players who got their games to work lol 💔 I tried the suggestion of deleting the entire Mod folder, added back WW (worked fine, same as before), then added WP and landed back at square one. Bummer, but here's that most recent lastException file (plus a screen of what the CC start up looks like)
Best of luck to everyone else figuring it out

if i am reading the LE right it looks like your on game v1.116.223.1030 which is from july 10, 2025 going by this  https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/The_Sims_4/Patch which might be a reason for the issues your having but here is also a link that can help with LE's as to giving an insight what might be going on to a point. No, you are the normal! WP and WW is fine (if you update WP), everyone who is complaining didn't do the minimal install test, or are on the old version of the game with the game patch, and are blaming WP for correctly reporting that it has other mods in their game which will break the mods which load after it. Like WP.

Speaking of the devil, the below is an out of date game :D

As @ace54858 came in cluth and pointed out!

For everyone else:

I'm going to sound like a broken record, but I'm going to keep saying it:

My mod can unmask errors caused by other mods because if WP didn't, then it would create very hard to debug and nebulous issues (like why are half my mods interactions missing from the game without an LE), which would cause headaches not just for WP, but for other mod authors and support peeps as well. Just Because a Nisa Last Exception is generated, doesn't necessarily mean the problem is from WP.
