The Family is no longer fighting in back alleys alone. After San Sequoia, Vito Scaletta returns to Del Sol carrying guilt, grief, and the weight of betrayal. Joe Barbaro is exposed as an informant. Vincenzo Grosso prepares to break Omertà. Martin Madrazo and Uncle Po remain at large. And in Washington, the Senate Committee believes it finally has the young don cornered. But Vito still has one card left to play. Meet the cast of The Simsfather Part II — Chapters 10, 11, 13, 14, and 16. Vito Scaletta Role: Don of the Scaletta Family Traits: Ambitious, Family-Oriented, Loyal, Brooding, Calculating, Rageful Current Status: Back in Del Sol, fighting threats on every front. Journal Entry: Vito returns from the chaos in San Sequoia with more than smoke on his suit. The New Year’s insurrection saved him from disaster in more ways than one — not only from Martin Madrazo and Uncle Po’s people, but from his own weakness. His near-tryst with Eva Bautista lingers in his mind during the ride home, a sleep-induced fantasy interrupted only by the knowledge that Sicilian wives always find out. But guilt quickly gives way to crisis. Max delivers the news that Joe Barbaro — Vito’s childhood friend, capo, and godfather to his son — has been working with the FIB and the Strangerville Cartel. Before Vito can even absorb the betrayal, he learns his mother’s condition has worsened beyond recovery. By the time the Senate Committee calls him to testify, Vito is no longer simply defending his empire. He is defending the illusion that he still controls the world around him. Max Scarpetti Role: Consigliere of the Scaletta Family Traits: Loyal, Serious, Observant, Strategic, Reserved Current Status: Vito’s right hand during the Family’s most dangerous political crisis. Journal Entry: Max is the man entrusted with the truth when the truth becomes too dangerous for anyone else to carry. It is Max who tells Vito that Joe has become an informant, and it is Max who helps manage the Family’s response as the Senate hearings close in. In private, Max remains composed, but the situation is grim. Joe is loose. Vincenzo Grosso is ready to talk. Martin Madrazo and Uncle Po are still at large. The FIB believes it has finally found a path to Vito through perjury and testimony. Max understands what others do not: this is no longer just a street war. This is a war of timing, leverage, and silence. Rosa Scaletta Role: Wife of Vito Scaletta Traits: Loyal, Family-Oriented, Perceptive, Proper, Strong-Willed, Uneasy Current Status: Reunited with Vito, but increasingly aware of the cost of his world. Journal Entry: Rosa welcomes Vito home after San Sequoia, but peace inside the Estate is short-lived. She hears more than Vito realizes. When Vito, Max, and Bert discuss the mysterious “asset” from the Old Country — and Vito stresses that they must reach Joe before the FIB does — Rosa understands the meaning beneath the words. Joe is not just another capo. He is Vito’s childhood friend. He is family in every way but blood. He is also godfather to her son. Rosa once pushed for the traitor to be exposed. Now that the traitor has a name, her certainty begins to break. She fears what Vito may be forced to do, and perhaps more than that, she fears what doing it will leave behind in him. Vincenzo Grosso Role: Caporegime turned FIB witness Traits: Hot-Headed, Proud, Disillusioned, Paranoid, Traitor/Government Snitch Current Status: Prepared to break Omertà before the Senate Committee. Journal Entry: Vincenzo Grosso knows exactly what his testimony means. There is no pretending otherwise. Once a capo in Vito’s Family, he now sits in FIB custody as the government’s key witness — the man they believe can expose Vito Scaletta as the head of a criminal empire. But Vincenzo’s betrayal is not born only from fear. He believes Vito sold him out to the Simkuza. He believes La Cosa Simstra has lost its honor. He believes Vito, for all his power, has allowed the Family to become vulnerable. After an emotional conversation with an FIB agent, Vincenzo is ready to enter witness protection and trade his oath for survival. But when he is brought before the Senate, Vito’s hidden move reveals itself: Stefano Grosso, Vincenzo’s brother from the Old Country. One look is enough. Vincenzo recants the testimony that would have destroyed Vito. His betrayal collapses under the weight of blood, shame, and old-world honor. Martin Madrazo Role: Head of the Strangerville Cartel Traits: Ruthless, Ambitious, Vengeful, Mean, Hot-Headed Current Status: At large following the San Sequoia insurrection. Journal Entry: Martin Madrazo survives the chaos in San Sequoia, but not without loss. His right-hand man is assassinated by one of Vito’s hitmen, a direct strike that sends a clear message: Vito Scaletta may have been caught off guard by the insurrection, but he is not helpless. Martin remains dangerous because he is wounded, not defeated. His alliance with the forces circling Vito — the Cartel, the FIB’s pressure campaign, and Uncle Po’s Simkuza interests — makes him part of the larger storm gathering around the Scaletta Family. The right hand may be gone, but Martin himself is still loose. And men like Martin do not retreat quietly. Uncle Po Role: Chairman of the Simkuza Traits: Proper, Genius, Patient, Traditional, Manipulative Current Status: Escaped San Sequoia and retreated to Tomarang. Journal Entry: Uncle Po slips away from San Sequoia after the failed New Year’s insurrection, retreating back to Tomarang — a fictional Sims world power shaped here as a Japan-inspired homeland for his organization. His physical absence from Del Sol does not make him any less dangerous. His influence still hangs over the Senate hearing. At least one senator appears to be compromised by Simkuza interests, suggesting that Uncle Po’s reach extends far beyond backrooms and blood feuds. Unlike Martin, Uncle Po does not need to rage to be feared. He waits. He calculates. And while Vito survives the Committee for now, Uncle Po remains one of the few men capable of turning politics, honor, and organized crime into the same weapon. Joe Barbaro Role: Capo, childhood friend of Vito Scaletta, FIB informant Traits: Outgoing, Romantic, Reckless, Self-Indulgent, Traitor/Informant Current Status: On the run in Willow Creek. Journal Entry: Joe Barbaro was never built for quiet living. Women, nightlife, easy pleasure, and fast danger were always part of his nature. The Strangerville Cartel exploited that weakness, and the FIB turned it into leverage. For over a year, Joe has been feeding information to enemies of the Scaletta Family. Now exposed, he hides in a motel in Willow Creek, far from the power and comfort he once enjoyed. He is no longer the funny childhood friend, the trusted capo, or the beloved godfather. He is a liability. For Vito, Joe’s betrayal cuts deeper than business. Joe belongs to the part of Vito’s life that existed before the suits, the hearings, the title, and the blood politics of Del Sol. Getting to Joe before the FIB does may be necessary. That does not make it easier. Senator Milton Batchelor Role: United States Senator indebted to the Scaletta Family Traits: Politician, Eloquent, Self-Important, Cowardly, Compromised Current Status: Recuses himself from the hearing after protecting Vito. Journal Entry: Milton Batchelor owes the Scaletta Family more than a favor. After his disastrous night at one of their brothels — waking up beside a dead woman in a setup designed to put him in Vito’s pocket — Batchelor became another asset in the Family’s political machinery. At the Senate Committee hearing, he repays that debt with theater. Before recusing himself, Batchelor delivers a lengthy monologue about Italians as the bedrock of America, wrapping corruption in patriotism and self-preservation in principle. His speech does not end the investigation, but it muddies the waters long enough to remind the Committee that Vito Scaletta is not without friends in high places. Milton leaves the hearing with his dignity performed, his debt acknowledged, and his hands still dirty. -

Vito Scaletta Date of Birth: 1923 Status: Alive Spouse: Rosa Trapani Traits: Mafia Boss, Cunning, Distant, Manipulative, Visionary 11 years after becoming the “Godfather of Willow Creek”, Vito has moved his family to the upstart Del Sol Valley, where he has expanded the organization into more legitimate ventures, like gambling. This new venture has seen various players emerge - some familiar and some unknown. Her commitment to Vito and her family remains unfazed as the former enhances his power in Del Sol. It helps that she hails from Sicilian lineage which has prepared her to be the rock of her family in any situation. She is totally aware of her husband’s business, yet knows not to get heavily involved. Instead she cares for her children and acts as the main pillar for her husband to lean on when he comes home. In spite of her loyalty, Rosa’s concern lies in the security of her family’s future. As she and her family get older, will this lifestyle be sustainable? Given her background, she is just as much bound to the vows of the “Family” as actual members of her husband’s organization. Is her blind trust admirable? Or is it foolish? Francesca Scaletta Date of Birth: 1927 Status: Alive Traits: Snooty, Promiscuous, Socialite, Drug Addict The youngest Scaletta has drastically transformed from a sheltered teen to a supercilious socialite with a coke habit. Separated from her husband and her two children, Frankie spends her time in nightclubs tantalizing middle-aged men who want nothing more than to spend the night with her. In some cases, she actually obliges, much to the chagrin of her seemingly omniscient older brother. Since moving to the west coast, Frankie has neglected her mother, husband and children while taking in all that Del Sol has to offer, no pun intended. Her self-destructive behavior may serve as an achilles heal with the FBI, who continuously circle around Vito’s organization. Senator Milton Bachelor Date of Birth: 1900 Status: Alive Traits: Corrupt, Abusive, Arrogant, Wealthy Grandfather of the young Simis and future great-grandfather of Bella and Michael, Milton Bachelor represents the people of Oasis Springs. An establishment politician, Milton is just as nefarious as the drug traffickers he and his constituents oppose, though he would never admit it. He was targeted by the Scaletta family as their political contact through whom they can make inroads in Del Sol given the Senator’s business acumen and connections. After some staunch negotiations, (simoleons were paid), Milton has continued his tenuous partnership with Vito while maintaining public appearances. He is not exempt from greed, however, as his avariciousness stands to serve as a thorn in Vito’s side. Bert Alto Date of Birth: 1914 Status: Alive Traits: Ruthless, Creative, Well-Connected, Strategist Having made his bones as a formidable litigator, Bert spent his early career laundering the dirty money of his brothers, Nick and Alfonso. He was hand-picked by Vito to succeed Leo Galante, who is once again semi-retired and serving on the Commission, as consigliere and attorney. While he possesses influential connections in the world of law enforcement and politics, he is a lesser version of his predecessor in terms of familiarity and criminal prowess, the latter of which is still required as the family navigates the underbelly of Del Sol. Joe Barbaro Date of Birth: 1920 Status: Alive Traits: Captain, Player, Gregarious, Unsettled, Gaudy Joe has been living comfortably as a captain in the Scaletta family. It would seem that Joe’s violent and verbose temperament is tailor made for a life of crime and ill-gotten gains. Money, power, women - he has it all. However, despite advancements in his career, Joe has slowly begun to feel as though his voice is being minimized as the organization expands. Surely, he is just imagining things? Maybe he is better off indulging in his debaucherous impulses and not over-thinking. Vincenza Scaletta Date of Birth: 1901 Status: Alive Traits: Traditionalist, Hollow, Despondent, Regretful The matriarch of the Scaletta family has had a tumultuous life. From her arduous teenage years in Sicily to unfruitful years in Willow Creek where she lost her only love to a “drowning”, Vincenza has experienced unfulfillment at every corner. What has further compounded Vincenza’s emptiness is her mafia don son and her promiscuous drug addict daughter. After relentlessly trying to protect Francesca from her son’s influence, she begrudgingly swallowed her pride and accepted her son’s hospitality in order to survive. Now, she lives in an ornate mansion with more material possessions than she ever dreamed to see in her lifetime; yet, she still feels empty. Truth is, she would much rather live in that olden apartment in Willow Creek if it meant that her children lived normal lives. At least she can embrace moments of levity alongside her exuberant grandchildren. Marilyn Monroe Date of Birth: 1926 Status: Alive Traits: Movie Star, Musician, Playful, Flirtacious, Sex Symbol The legendary model and actress has just hit the big time in Del Sol which has culminated in her services being in high demand. From the early going, she has had her gaze occupied by “the head of the largest crime family in America”. Given her playful nature, it may just be superficial. But given that this is the wild west coast, nothing is guaranteed. Vincenzo Grosso Date of Birth: 1911 Status: Alive Traits: Disgruntled, Abrasive, Hot-headed, Captain A remnant of the old guard in Willow Creek, Vincenzo was placed in charge of Vito’s operations in Willow Creek, namely gambling and prostitution. He also oversees the family’s partnership with the Simkuza back east, ensuring that drug shipments reach their proper destination. After negotiations between Vincenzo’s crew and Kazuki Kasen’s crew deteriorated, Vincenzo has refused to relinquish two rackets (operations) to Kauzki’s control. He feels that such a move would strengthen Chairman Po, who has offered his protection to Kazuki. Much to the dismay of his don, Vincenzo’s defiant attitude stands to disrupt current business dealings between Vito and the Simkuza Chairman, who have since patched up their relationship. Gus Fring Status: Alive Date of Birth: 1906 Traits: Diabolical, Logical, Advisor Right-hand man to the head of the Strangerville Cartel, Martin Madrazo, Gus visits Vito to inform him that Martin does not object to Vito’s plans to overtake the Excelsior Hotel & Casino. He gifts Vito an exotic dragon fruit as a symbol of their ongoing partnership. While harmless on its own, it can become fatally toxic when grafted with other tropical fruits. Coincidence? -

Solidifying Power - How to Distribute Drugs In addition to the shipments in Strangerville, The Scaletta Family did not limit itself to one form of transportation. They eventually formed delivery routes in the air and in the sea, expanding their control on the distribution of drugs in Willow Creek. While awaiting distribution, delivered drugs would be stored in the rising amounts of warehouses that Vito has established. Due to the increased presence of law enforcement, creativity would be needed in order to maintain productivity. Vito asserts his control over the imports of custom cars into Evergreen Harbor, which has become the main distribution hub for his drug operations. These are not only legitimately sold into retail, but used as an unsuspected method in the transportation of the drugs that were eventually distributed by members of his Family. In the fallout of what happened at the Strangerville Border, Vito placates Joe by placing him in charge of this racket. This mean that Joe gets the majority of the take home money that is generated. Vito continues to strategically manipulate his relationship with the Simkuza and Selvadoradans by concentrating his resources and limiting any retaliation to attacks on his business. Vito and his consigliere, Leo Galante, tour the new facilities Joey Leone, a local mechanic on the take, and a few associates of Vito's family try to rig up an imported car with cocaine -

The largest shipment of the year has arrived into Evergreen Harbor only to be seized by the WCPD (Willow Creek Police Department). Despite the seizure of an unprecedented amount of cocaine, Captain Wilson Fisk is not happy as his precinct has been losing the war on drugs. However, his exchange with Sergeant Tenpenny, leader of C.R.A.S.H, the anti-drug task force, indicates that he may be closer to the situation that he is revealing. Vito meets with Wei Shen, right hand man of Simkuza chairman, Uncle Po, in order to determine the latter's role in the bust down.
