If you have or download a image editing program like GIMP (it's free), you can open the files in that program and draw freely over them, so long as you understand what parts of the character are connected to each other and you overwrite them with transparency values. As simple as it may be though, many of the default characters aren't built in a way that makes nude edits or mods possible in an visually pleasing way. Which is why we have modders like Xelsword that are re-designing them in Spine, a program that is required if you want to make major changes to the build of the characters. I'm not sure which version he uses, but licenses for Spine can cost up to 300 USD. I hope this helps answer your question. If anyone needs more help understanding, I'll gladly post examples on how it's done. 1
