blueballbob Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Is it just me or is Fallout 4 easier to mod and keep working than Skyrim (Old)? Seems like I don't have to fill my plug-ins with 'fixes' as much either. In Skyrim I had to get things like DynDLOD, Perkus Maximus, SIMM, etc. Doesn't seem to be as necessary in Fallout 4, so I can use plugins for more items, quests, etc. Of course there's a lot of mod content that's missing for Fallout 4, but I don't feel like I'm fighting crashes and texture problems as much either.

Much less crashes, its not even close and SSE is the same. Its still worth getting some type of save for survival though, its rough to lose an hour and a half mission because my pc locked up....
vinfamy Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 FO4 is much more stable and a whole lot less CTD-friendly than Oldrim. They also got rid of some Papyrus functions that a careless modder may end up using to create infinite loops. Good for Four-Play. I've tested with 100 sex scenes going on at the same time, no crash. No way in hell SexLab could do that. Another thing is you don't need things like FNIS and XPMSE, which is good help for novice users.

blueballbob Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 Fallout 4 definitely has a lot of promise. I'd almost say more so than Skyrim SSE, as you still need FINS for SSE. Curious about what can be done with Fallout 4 Physics or if it'll need major work like Skyrim did to enable collisions and skinned meshes.
Karin Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Yeah a lot of mods and after 100 hour zero crash and it´s run better then oldrim for me

Im still looking for your help/advice. thx Should start a separate thread for this question, but try looking here for some useful mods: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/73797-what-are-the-mods-you-cant-live-without/ . 1) No alternate skeletons necessary for FO4 (at least, not yet). 2) CBBE is the main female body - there are some other bodies but CBBE is the default go-to body. It is much improved over CBBE for skyrim (old Skyrim anyway, I haven't run Newrim yet). And there many skin textures available. If you used Bodyslide in Skyrim, then you can use CBBE and Bodyslide for FO4 (no real difference to bodyslide the outfits). 3) EVB is to go-to for Male bodies. It also does females bodies and is made by Leito. There is a "Super Human" male body, but it seems to have been abandoned. There are several textures for the male body as well (some hairy, some not) 4) UFOP (the unofficial FO4 patch) - you need all DLC for the most current version (just list with USKP). It is a MUST-HAVE. 5) There aren't any of the "crash fix" mods like you see with Skyrim. ENBBoost is available to make use of more memory (especially useful if your machine isn't a super-computer), or full ENBs if you want that. ENBs are too subjective to really recommend any single one. Best option is just to check them out for yourself. Again, check the thread I posted for some more mod suggestions.
Klaxon Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Should st ......................... Thanks a lot. This helps me what to look for.
Vortexas Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Considering we still lack the SexTec Framework..I'am gonna say no it probably isn't it. LOL
srayesmanll Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Considering we still lack the SexTec Framework..I'am gonna say no it probably isn't it. LOL We do have "sex-tec" - it's called "four-play" and works pretty well. It's still developing - features are being added (thanks Vinfamy!!!) while he is working on his own add-ons for it. What we need are more animations (Leito seems to be the only one currently working on any) and HELPFUL bug reports for it, but for the relative newness of the mod, it is actually pretty solid thanks to DocCloxx (who started it) and Vinfamy (who is adding to the framework while Doc is away).
KoolHndLuke Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 So do the animations of Four-Play work more like Sexlab or Sexout for FNV? I really liked the style of animations with Sexout. On subject. FO4 is much easier to mod, but not easier to make mods for- according to the many angry posts I have read in the last year. I'll say it in two words- pre-combined meshes!!
