Zydar Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 I just installed a dual boot of Window 7 after a couple of days trying to make it work on Window 10. How big of a difference they were! Really though, its either the DX9 fix or SKSE64 for me.
Sladen2019 Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Microsoft recently announced the release date for the Fall Update. It will be October 17rh. At this point, its better to just waitt, instead of joining the Insider program.

Kakabishan Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 I wonder what other problems this might introduce that will take years to fix. I'm happy they're fixing this finally, but also pessimistic about what other damage it might cause.

I suggest everybody who uses MO on Windows 10 to check the status here before installing the update next month.
Zydar Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Some guy from MS itself posted on r/skyrimmods that the fix for MO is already in the latest insider build. So very hopefull for 17th October now. EDIT: Link to said post https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/6yxweh/c_coders_needed_to_fix_mod_organizer_to_work_with/dmr6bws
guk Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Win10 just prompted to install one of its major updates, guess this one is NOT the memory fix yet? I postponed the update, would be good to know if it's safe or not. Still using Skyrim+MO occasionally and would be super-pissed if it wouldn't work anymore.

yatol Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 why do they stick to it if they know it suck? this is after a reboot, and there's already 1.1 gb wasted by windows no, that ram isn't available ram skyrim have crash? really? nice joke now it try with enbhost, i won't close those applications because windows don't have enought ram left for his cache crap (the service is desactivated, that doesn't change anything) and later, after exiting the game... windows keep skyrim in my ram too and if i run out of ram because of that, it will ask me to close something to keep skyrim (that isn't running) in my ram no idea how win 10 waste your performances, didn't bother trying it
prinyo Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 no idea how win 10 waste your performances, didn't bother trying it What exactly did you try then?
yatol Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 no idea how win 10 waste your performances, didn't bother trying it What exactly did you try then? nothing i just didn't switch to win10 to get what i have with win7 and enb, but with much more problems there's a lot of stuff to take care of if you want a few fps back there's always something to fix you don't need another nif just to pick another texture... you can give another texture in armor addon where's the variation here? don't like much those meshes names, npc head? torsonew.00 x times? if the game use the name to find the meshe from _1 in _0, and it's no good, it have to compare the meshe to all meshes in _0? not very performance friendly well... if they mimick bethesda... and the mods that add stuff to that mess, can only add more mess^^ and once you take a look at skyrim esm dwarven centurion have nakeddraugrbody? what for? their race isn't allowed
yatol Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 today in windows waste your ram to give you a reason to update your hardware did windows free a few of those free 2.7 gb for tesedit? nope if you use sic, you better skip the next part hey.. i didn't allowed windows to close steam.exe.... now skyrim.exe is really crashed hmmm, bye bye lich2 oh, there was no lich2, he just change his mind, but forgot to delete the copy paste of nif1 dog1 is copy paste of dog mesh with an armor dog2 is the dog1 with another helm -> nakeddog armor addon for both dog2 is just a helm, with sbp 49 dog1 is just the armor, sbp 49 for the helm too, lower priority than dog2 (so many armor addon it's complicated to find something, better not add new ones) ps : those armors can be be given to other npc now since there isn't a dog with it why not just edit the stats the only dragon that use that race? oh, the pauldron is on the same mesh instead of doing that transparency crap, that get you stuck with the textures that were used at that time, why not just cut the part you don't want? the bones of bodyslide nif are no good in the original, they are good so you just copy paste your nitrishape in the original mesh (not the bsdismemberskin, the bones are no good) and now those npc can use the good old crappy vanilla textures replaced by textures packs
