You're not a careful reader eh?

How so?

Patrons can enjoy it now, while non-patrons can't, and the full package is only available to patrons.

Time and content are being paywalled here, so don't pretend as if the paywall does not exist.

The mod is only completely free when it's completed, and you know as well as I do that it won't be completed.

Because if it is, they can no longer milk the cash out of their patrons. You can't think very well, can you?

Spend less time complaining and use the time and create yourself mods that you want.

The full package will be available to everyone. You say the mod won't be completed but this is the version 0.9. The next one will be the 1.0 and the quest mod is finished. That's how things are scheduled. And if it was not for patreon, the mod would have been incomplete and we would have only version 0.8. It's better to have temporary paywall than not having any mod at all.

The rest is merely your assumption and lack of faith in the developer.

It's not my fault if people get salty about it.

Facts? So you can look to the future - respect.
I think dogma is doing a good job and also those who actively support it.
And each of them does it at his own expense, his own time, many weeks and months - as his own hobby.

I'm not a fan of pay-mods.
But even if it's  - it's okay.
Like I said, make your own mods if you do not like them.

It's not that dogma or other authors know and can do more than you. It's like they're not waiting for someone to do them work.
They just do it - and for a very long time (months, years) they just have frustration, that's part of it.

And if you want to be paid for it - that's okay too.
Or are you going to work for nothing for several months?

So please, leave your "I know the facts" - you probably do not know anything.

PS: I am very interested in the completion of this mod.
But I will not pay for it. And yet I will not make judgments if the mod is only for money. Very easily.

Speaking the truth, it feels like you stating not the facts, but just your own, very personal, understanding of them.

I'll risk and presume, that it's all about not having access to the current version. Which, if I'm correct, is quite funny. Because at this point, no one talks about full release of a new version, just beta. Meaning, it still has bugs, it's not properly translated, and generally the work on the new version isn't over.

And with all honesty, I can't see the problem in that. Because if at that point everyone will rush to play new version of the mod, that might end not as pleasant as it expected. And mod creator just makes sure that only the most bold ones, or those who want to help finding bugs and problems, or those who accept the risks of playing beta, will gain access to new version.
And when it will be done, when everything will be translated, besides, couple posts above the good sir already mentioned, that he has some problems with it, and informed community about state of work, when everything would be sorted and polished, then everyone will receive it. Where you noticed the paywall, I simply can't understand.

A portion of the mod is being paywalled, which is why I said that this is a paywalled mod.

Spin it however you want, but it is what it is.

You clearly haven't played  the mod or watch the progress for the time we do. So the things you say are so much inaccurate. One extra scene is not enough to say you don't take the whole package. There is a reason this extra scene is not in the full package. And when the mod reaches the version 1.0 , then there will be no extra scenes. The reason that the mod is not released, is because when it is at beta state, means it has bugs, bugs that people will test and the author will fix. You are really annoying.

And one more thing. For my personal reasons, i am not still a patron. But when i will become one, it would be not only to say thanks for the great mod, but also because i would hope that dogma would make more fantastic mods like this one. Most of the people have paid nothing to play till 0.82 version. And the same will happen when 0.9 gets public.

Okay so is this beta version bugs-wise or content-wise too? I mean will there be more ,,full" version 0.9 with more scenes etc in the near future? Cuz I'm thinking about buying patreon. In other words is this finished version 0.9?

There are plenty of content already in vesion 0.9 beta and is playable. Only some minor bugs remain (but I was able to finish it without problems) and Dogma is waiting the official translation, the status about the latter was given by @brewmasterhal . The machine translation is serviceable enough to understand the plot and dialogues, although it can be immersive breaking sometimes.

Some info regarding the size of beta, for those who doesn't want to get any spoiler:

The good thing is that this 0.9 beta version is already bigger than the last update, but even then, since some branches weren't able to be finished before the September deadline, Dogma is already working on a patch that will include those scenes. In short, the beta version that we are testing is already considerably bigger than version 0.8 (like 2x times? It took me many hours to complete it and seeing all the hidden content I missed), but it's not the complete 0.9 version. It will be complete with the patch that will be released soon after the public beta release, and it will add even more content.

I don't regret being a patreon at all, testing the beta was realy worth to me.

At this point, the whole Thief quest, from start to finish, is already the size of a DLC to me.

For anyone who currently has access to the beta version 0.9.0.3, I've added a preview of my English edition of the mod to my public mediafire folder.  Please download and install it.  You will need all three of the mod files active to get everything in English including the SkyUI menu stuff.  Note that the mod menu will continue to appear as "Dogma - [garbled nonsense]" unless you start a fresh game, but there is otherwise no reason that you can't use your existing save files.

There are still 226 lines of dialog that I haven't been able to locate yet, which is almost exactly 7% of the new lines.  If you come across one, it will be quite obvious because it will be "$$[six hexadecimal chars]$$ [machine-translated gobbledy-gook]" in the middle of a bunch of otherwise normal dialog.

When you do find one of these lines, please send me a PM here on the forum and let me know:

  • The six hex chars that identify the line
  • Which character spoke the line
  • What part of the quest you're currently on
  • The context in which the line is spoken

I'm putting out a call for help on this one.  Dogma has made a patch that is so big, and has so many conditions, I literally don't think I can reasonably find all of this stuff without crowd-sourcing it.

For the moment, I recommend uninstalling any and all "Fixes" mods you may have downloaded from that mediafire folder - there will eventually be updated ones when the release version hits, but for now they may cause instability (and invisible dicks).  You should only have DogmaEngine.esm, Dogma - Thief.esp, and Dogma - Thief Fixes - Quest Vars.esp active.  If you extracted any of the meshes, textures, scripts, or audio files from those "Fixes" mods, be sure to get rid of them as well.

Found one:

118264

Spoken by the coachman.

Just outside Falkreath, when you say you have business to do before departing, when you come back he greets "$$118264$$ Going, or what?"

There is also a little mistake in the bards dialogue when Ravi asks the heroine to listen  "whih" one the heroine prefers. It should be which, of course. :)

Found another one:

0f4dce

Spoken by the player character.

Just outside of Solitude, when you are warming in the fireplace with the bards. If you select: "Im just a little cold", the bard you comment that her company is appreciated, then your character will say: $$0f4dce$$ Well, I gotta go.

Another two:

0f915a

Spoken by Ravi.

During the sex minigame with Ikol, if they are caught trying to sneak inside the city, he replies to Ikol saying: "$$0f915a$$" We... it's...

0f916f

Spoken by Ravi just after he says the line above, he says $$0f916f$$ Run!

Can someone give better translation from google about this? :P

Thanks @Highborn, you're the best.  Those error reports are just what I'm looking for.

The release of v0.9.0 should be Friday at the latest.  Dogma has been fixing even more bugs, and with only a few exceptions everything is now in a very good state.  The extended edition with the Patreon-exclusive scene will come a little later, along with a minor patch.

You're welcome, found another one :) :

0fa208

Spoken by Haki the pirate.

When you first meet them and know about the helmet, you select the option "I came to kill you all, but I believe talking is the best option." With low speechcraft, you won't convince them, and Haki will agree with Ilva. He will say that it's better to not take risks and will say: "$$0fa208$$ Kill her!"

There is another one, similar to that:

0fa20c

If you say that you want to join them, and then listen to the dialogue, you will ask: "So, am I in?" or something. Then, Haki will say that you need to prove yourself. If you select the option: "Fuck it, I'm just gonna kill you all". Haki will say: "$$0fa20c$$ Kill her!"

It's not a paywall. People voluntarily become patrons, so dogma can make the mod faster, so people like you can play it for free earlier without complaining about it being a paywalled mod.
Or would you rather there be no perks whatsoever for the people putting down money to see the development of this mod go faster?

I found some more:

12fe0c

Spoken by the Porter when you are having sex with him and he agrees with the amount you offered. He says "$$12fe0c$$ Okay, so be it."

By the way, I don't know if it's a bug from your modified .esp or because of the 9.0.3 fix, but the Porter's open trousers doesn't have a dick, just a hole.

________

13140c

Spoken by a random NPC (it was one added by Interesting NPCs so it's a dialogue randomly generated) while discussing with another NPC. I didn't activated the NPC or started any conversation, the NPCs simply started talking with each other. This happened inside the Winking Skeever shortly after I entered Solitude, but I believe it could be generated elsewhere. I wasn't expecting to see such conversation so I missed the first line, but I caught the NPC replying with: "$$13140c$$ Yeah, I saw yesterday grabbed that poor guy on the market?".  I'm not sure if it has anything to do with this conversation, but from my other walktrough, I saw some NPCs talking about the dealer, starting a conversation out of nowhere about him buying a house or something. I guess Dogma is creating some random scenes like that for immersion, as the NPCs comment about the new added content.

I believe this is a result of the stuff I did to make Lod's pants do the same thing in the "Meshes and Textures" fix I released before.  Not to worry though, I've already got an updated version that fixes the porter.

Nice! Found another line:

130901

130900

That also seems to be randomly generated. My character was being scorted (naked as she was caught having sex with the porter) to the Blue Palace and a random NPC said: "$$130901$$ Uh! Don't!" Then they said, "$$130900$$ Don't go, criminal!"

It seems to be related to this specfic scene, don't know if being scorted with rags instead of naked alters the dialogue.

Another lines

1086de

Spoken by Captain Vala, when Elisif asks you about the story and you said you lied. Vala says: "$$1086de$$ Hey, you are here for the games decided to play?!"

1086db

Spoken (actually inner thoughts) by player character in response to the line above: "$$1086db$$ (Better bow, not anger...)"

1086db

Spoken by player character immediately after that: "$$1086db$$ Yes, it's true"

Also Elsif's line when asked how they know if the thief didn't escape from town she says something like "that that's", which was duplicated I believe.

Since you are making some patches, I wonder if you can confirm that Dogma is using an Elisif clone for this scene. I use "Toccata as Elisif" mod and it doesn't matter the load order, Elisif always has that vanilla look. I wonder if I put the Toccata nif and dds files in the folder created by Dogma would be enough to change her look?

Regarding a line and lore, @brewmasterhal:

This is just a suggestion, but when your character leaves the Blue Palace after the steward talks with her, she says that there is no way out of town. I don't know if Dogma intends for that, but you can actually leave so far. I even went to the pirates to have a quickie. So, unless the gate is blocked, I think that line is contradictory. Also, another suggestion is to rename or name the "steward", because Falk Firebeard is the official steward of the court. Either we have to assume she has two stewards, or we could rename his role as butler or chamberlain, since he seems to be more like a servant than Falk, who is more like an administrator. Also, this is really minor, but Elisif being called "Queen" contradicts a bit the lore, as she refuses to use the title of High Queen because Skyrim is in turmoil after Torygg's death. In the vanilla game, everyone tends to call her Jarl Elisif, I think it would fit more. But it's not a big deal.

Found other line:

The one that leads to the line below is this 13140a, a random NPC will coment: "$$13140a$$ Guards in recent times absolutely brutalized." It will be followed by this, which I posted before:

13140c

I wasn't expecting to see such conversation so I missed the first line, but I caught the NPC replying with: "$$13140c$$ Yeah, I saw yesterday grabbed that poor guy on the market?".

________

Other line:

0fad82

Spoken by the guard when you resist prison when he comes to arrest you for asking the citizens. If you select: "You won't catch me!", he says: "$$0fad82$$ Get her!"

________

Other line:

0fadaa

Spoken by the player character when being scolded by the guards to not disturb: "$$0fadaa$$ (The guards seem worried about something)"

__________

Other line:

1308fc

Spoken by a random guard when my character was being escorted in Castle Dour Dungeon: "$$1308fc$$ Here you will learn to respect the law."

_________

Other line:

130e71

Spoken by Captain Vala after she is done interrogating you and you cooperate by telling her everything without insulting her. The guard comes, calls her for urgent business and when she is leaving the room, she says to the torturer, keep watching her and add: "$$130e71$$ And asking her something."

________

Other line:

1308fd

Spoken by a random guard when my character was being escorted to the Blue Palace, but that might as well be said in the Dungeon. He says: "$$1308fd$$ I will not allow anyone to break the law in my city!"

1308fa

The same context as above, spoken by a random guard: "$$1308fa$$ Towards, criminal scum!"

1308fe

The same context as above, but said by a civilian: "$$1308fe$$ What are you in for?"

1308fb

The same context as above, but said by a random guard: "$$1308fb$$ Don't even think of something to throw!"

1308ff

The same context as above, but said by a civilian: "$$1308ff$$ Hey, stay away from me."

_____________

1032af

Spoken by the player character if she has low karma, decline the gigolos during the bath scene and went to sleep. When the steward wakes her up, after saying he will wait her for dress up, the player character says: "$$1032af$$ Hey, will you turn away?!"

1032b1

Following the dialogue above, the steward will say: "$$1032b1$$ If the lady wish it."

Yes, there is a clone of Elisif that's added.

If I had to guess, the way to accomplish what you want is:

  1. Open the "Toccata as Elisif" and Thief mods together in TES5Edit
  2. Select the clone NPC, ID XX100AF1, and copy it as override into a new mod file
  3. Delete the override NPC from the new mod file
  4. Select the modified base NPC, ID 0001326A, and copy it as a new record into the new mod file
  5. Modify the new record's FormID to match the one that you deleted in step 3, and set its EDID to "bd_sol_impress_wocrown"
  6. Manually edit the list of factions and packages to match the original clone record

That should work, more or less.
