Yea its kinda confusing but it follows certain rule of thumb:

1. If NPC directly asks heroine something for example "do you want to change position/do you want me to stop/do you agree to what i offer" pressing it means agreeing and not pressing means disagree

2. If NPC is forcing something/himself on heroine and her dialogue is negative/hesitant, pressing button will stop/pause/change to defensive action and not pressing will mean that heroine surrendered/didnt try to resist.

3. If in normal scene, dialogues don't imply any of the above it will mean that pressing it will shorten/skip the current animation, usually with fade to black.

 

So basically there are 3 functions to pressing the button when asked: (press) agree/(dont press) disagree when forced: (press) resist/(dont press) surrender when just having sex: (press) skip looped/repeating animation. 

 

 Thx, this is actually helpful, i will keep that in mind. That scene in the mine in Silentwood was really complex. I had a few reload in there.

God this mod is full of traps that disable things, and trying to play it without reading a 100 page long guide first would make me miss like 80% of the content. Why does he design things like that? It's so frustrating :( 

yep, It would be a little better if Dogma at least finished the walkthrough on his website; the Silentwood page is still deactivated.

Its just me, or this mod really conflict with Legacy of the Dragonborn?

There is some conflicting building in the same places with the Dragonborn Gallery in solitude?

Its HEAVILY recommended that no mods changing locations and interiors are present when using thief cuz it uses custom animations and placements. As for Legacy i dont think there even could be a patch as it would require to move whole building somewhere else and all associated animations, npcs and scripts with it.

I dont think there are any script conflicts (checked), just the building, the gate / wall are overlapping.

Its a shame but yeah i get it, cant use it then...thanks

How am I supposed to pay debt to Tolgan? I though he'd just show up when I go to bed, but no matter what time I go in (evening, night, deep night), I just wake up in the morning and nothing happened. There's no other scene taking over either. I'm on 3rd day now, afraid if go more without paying he'll give me that Rascal status mentioned in walkthrough.

 

When I talk to him (at any time of day), I only have a "What do you want for your help?" dialog option, to which he replies "Did I express myself unclearly last time? First, I want to get what was promised! As they say." and nothing else...

Could someone please tell me the teleportation code to the cave for moon Nirnroot, or the code to trigger the diving option?

I reached the waterfall but couldn't trigger the diving option.

If you are on Mod Organizer, create a new profile to play with Thief with mods that makes big changes to Solitude disabled. Would also recommend to disable mods that makes changes to the inns, Riften and Markarth.

I have 2 "issues" in the SE version.

First with the Guard in the Jarl house;
Once you get into the Jarls Chamber and drop the teleportation chrystal, and tell the guy you're about to undress they just stare at each other.

Second with Coolio the Porter Guy:

If you go check the old barrel and want to return you get the achievement (Dummy) but Coolio just remains in the Tavern silently drinking and no further dialog options (so no way to get my stuff back).


Are those known issues? Haven't gotten further than that yet

I replayed the mine with Tolgan to owe him 4 days. The 1st night during the public scene I choose to leave early to trigger the Mogens & Shenk branch. When that scene ends, the mod glitches out. Norring wakes me up while it's still deep night, explains to me the day, leaves. All I can do now is go to sleep again which makes Tolgan come over again, and leads to me again waking up during deep night, and the cycle never ends. I'm stuck in a Groundhog night. Restarting and replaying the scene doesn't help. Not leaving and letting it go into morning shower seems to work, but I don't want that branch.

 

Is there a workaround?

 

EDIT: I've read in one of the guides I can select the mogens & shenk branch during "skip script". But when do I call it? I bound the skip button, and I'm trying it when Tolgan arrives at bed, during dialogues, during a scene, and I always get "This scene can't be skipped" notification. I've tried reloading all  the way back to mine, and spam it during Torgnir mine initiation scene, when meeting Tolgan, during talking to Tolgan, during BJ scene with Tolgan, still only getting "This scene can't be skipped" notifications... when the hell can this be skipped with Mogens & Shenk branch enabled? I'm out of ideas.

Is there some kind of patch that makes the english better for the pregnancy and silentwood storyline? I think it was machine translated. Not very good.

Is there anyway I can use a tool to translate it, but make it better? Let me know. Thanks.

Curious, what mods do you need to make your game and female body look like this? There's nothing I can find online.

I assume UBE but the downside of that mod is having almost no clothing being made for the base, right?

There is no possible way that these issues are the result of Thief operating in a vacuum.  You must have some other mod running which is dynamically modifying NPC factions to see issues like this.  Even if we assume that your Thief install is corrupt and random script code is being executed in the background, it still would not cause this.

Maybe, maybe it's possible that you committed the cardinal sin of updating your Thief install without starting a new game.  That could result in the wrong functions being called, which may in turn result in things occurring out of order.  Alternatively, if you're using MO you may have somehow moved some old mod scripts into the overwrite directory, which would have the same ultimate effect.

Either way, this is one of the most unusual issues I've seen reported.  I can only conclude that it's your own fault.

Can someone explain to me what the fuck this means? I get that The buttons are supposed to represent the time, with the clock face starting at North. But nothing seems to work. What exactly am I supposed to press if, say, it's exactly noon? Or 5pm? Does using "set gamehour to" break it? Does the laser activating mean I've pressed the right button? It seems like I've pressed every button and it just doesn't work.

 

Edit: Nevermind, I got it. The numbers are all hours. You need to press them throughout the day at the corresponding time. So it goes:

midnight: Right North

        3am: Right East

           6am: Left South

           9am: Left West

          noon: Left North

           3pm: Left East

         6pm: Right South

         9pm: Right West

That just looks like the horse tilt glitch to me - that thing the speedrunners use to zip across the map.  If I recall correctly they have to get the horse into a specific orientation facing downward and then perform a save/load which causes some kind of physics correction failsafe that adds an improper amount of velocity.

I can't think of any reason why Thief or any other mod would intentionally cause something like this, or anything other than unpatched engine issues that could cause it.  My advice would be to load a save from before the chase begins, and then be very careful not to ride over any rocks or make any saves during the horse riding sequence.

Does this happen immediately upon mounting the horse?

not sure if removing its hkx works so i just removed everything.

Thank you. Wonder why Leito's animations aren't listed in the requirements though, Overall this is a great mod.
