Didnt check your mod for about half of the year, fast question - is it still only Mining, Enchanting, Alchemy and Gathering, still no Cooking and Smithing updates?

I encountered a situation that is not FMEA's fault and not Bane Master's problem, but I'll mention it for anyone else who might experience it and wonder why.

Custom workstations that do not cause the player to perform a crafting animation (the ones that immediately open the crafting menu) will not trigger FMEA.  These nonstandard workstations effectively bypass FMEA's trigger mechanism (the OnSit event).

I noticed this when trying one of the small house mods which has a compact alchemy station.  It's placed on a shelf, higher than usual, so the author designed it to skip the crafting animation for using the mortar & pestle.  I noticed that I was extraordinarily successful -- wow, no failures! -- before I went looking for the reason for my crafting prowess.  No animation, no FMEA.  Be warned.

Question: if I select a specific gender, is there any way for the alchemy (or any other, for that matter) to consequence to select the opposite gender? When there are npc's of the desired gender equally close by?

Sorry - I'm not sure what you want to happen, can you give an example?

Apologies. If I say I only want male aggressors, for instance, and if I've set that up in your mod does that guarantee only male aggressors? Or are there circumstances which will enable a female aggressor even if that's not what I want?

My current pt I had a female guard attack me at the alchemy table, and twice females took advantage when I passed out from the ingredients allergic reaction. In bot situations there were males around. Most of the times my attackers were male, I just wondered if there was some fallback I wasn't aware of. I just don't recall that happening before, but maybe I've been lucky.

No worries.

There isn't a fallback regarding available genders - just waking up naked and abused if no suitable actor was found.

That said, I did check and found some instances where gender checking is using GetActorBase rather than GetLeveledActorBase which could sometimes result in leveled actors being assigned the wrong gender.

I'll release an update with that fixed and you can see if it makes a difference.

Just had a thought...

Chance of Egg Factory with failure Enchanting. A Daedra has cursed the payer with a random egg.

or

Chance of Egg Factory when passed out from Alchemy failure.  Egg Factory had it written once.  Bandits are known to be carrying a random eggs to infect the player.

Does this failure effect also apply to NPCs?

For example, if an NPC is crafting something, they fail and it explodes.

No - however some failure mode outcomes triggered by the Player may affect nearby Followers as well
