Yes, my mods are always compatible with previous version(s). I always recommend uninstalling previous version first and then install the new one rather than overwriting. The only issue you may have is that furniture placed in the game when you had older version my not work (e.g. you won't be able to activate them or some options are missing). It's best to remove them in workshop mode and build new ones.

Assigned NPC should still sway a little and make some sounds.

If not you are not running 2.3 for some reason. MCM may still refer to 2.0 as I haven't changed that but this is just a text in json file and it does not affect workshop menu.

Thank you for the reply 1) Yes 2) +3) I will try this 4) CRX 2.0 and 1.0 are uninstalled and removed and had all thier assets hand deleted from game files ( did a CRX search) prior to installation of CRX into new game on new profiles. plug in is also active (I checked) 5) That explains this at least

So I did find via console command a couple new furntiture items. Rusty round cage and rusty square cage. They seem like a great way to store unruly people. I spawned them via placeatme command. They appear ready for occupants via the red vaultboysymbol but when I try to assign a settler she stands in front for a split second , never getting inside and then disangages. When I try to use the Configure button "move assigned to" it tells me "there is no person assigned". but the item is identified as part of 2.3 when I open the configure menu Also whenever I start the game up i get a msesage flashing on my top left screen CRX script something. If you spawn furniture via console it does not belong to the settlement even if you place it in the settlement area. you have to pick it up in workshop mode and place again. That flashing message is likely the root of all the problems. Try starting screen recording and then pause the video to read it a s it may give a clue what's wrong. 1

Standing in the front of the furniture is a default position. You must select pose from the configuration menu once NPC is assigned to the furniture. Regarding missing configuration option - try placing brand new furniture. Check previous posts - someone else had the same issue. There could be many reasons for that (other mods etc.). 1

I honestly don't know why it doesn't work for you especially that it seems to work for others. Could be a conflict with another mod. 1

Not that its a big issue, but can you switch off the debug message somehow?

I tried really hard to make this work and I a grateful for your efforts to gift us this file. but since for some reason, its not working (perhaps a file conflict of some kind, like you said) is it safe to ununstall mid game? Both, It happened when I updated to the latest version. Starting a new save or reverting back to the previous version didnt fix it either

The CC build menu has a red workshop icon and appears towards the end of the build menu; scrolling to the far right

And other prob is assigned Settler still stand still before the CRXX item, i even choose pose and reset cell be teleport far enough that is loading screen that has "tip box". Thanks for reading
idontknow0126 Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 I was wondering if there was a way to hang the cages in the air. I want to decorate my camp with hanging cages with raiders inside, but I have to build stairs to each one in order for the raider to actually get inside. It kinda ruins the vibe I'm going for.
