Been using the SSE version and noticed that attempting to equip the Vaginal Chaurus Worm causes an instant CTD. Equipping it through the inventory or infecting through the MCM is no different and no crash log is written by .Net Script Framework. It looks to be something to do with the mesh itself (maybe) as the CTD is instantaneous with the moment the item is clicked to equip it in the inventory. It happens with both the scripted and non-scripted item.

I tried running the aa_worm_vag.nif through Nif Optimizer for SSE as well as tried the original LE nif to no avail.

 

Has anyone else noticed this?

 

Edit: Animated Parasites was to blame.

No, it works at least on my machine. Perhaps something is wrong.

im confused... LL says the mod got an update in the last 10 hours. But the version is still the same and no changelog change only that it was changed 10 hours ago...

There is also a problem with the devices mods, I noticed. When I activate them, I find my character as if he had a bondage accessory that ties his arms and tries to remove it while in the armor menu, there is none.

I am not sure about what you are describing here.... are you saying Parasites breaks something in Devious Devices?

 

Which version of Devious Devices are you using?
Are you using the Legendary Edition or Special Edition of Skyrim?

I hope it goes well.

Writing quests is not so difficult.. it takes patience as there are many moving parts to keep track of and test between quest stages, quest objectives, dialogues and little pieces of scripts. All that takes time.

These are not the parasites the worry.
But devious device, as soon as I activate the mod and launch the save, my character finds himself in the position of bondage as if he already had a bondage machine.
While there is no Devious Device object in the armor menu.
I use the AIO SE version

I can't get Danika to say anything about how to harvest parasites.  I have the dialogue option to ask but I do not get a reply.

Also confused as to how I get the pheromone thing for Lastelle. I've read her book and there was a passage about chitin, spider poison(?) and something else. Are these the things I need?

Yes. Look into cooking pots for the recipe.

 

Danica's dialogues are not finished yet. I am currently working on the main quest in SD+ and I am hoping to focus on Parasites during the first few months of next year.

Red triangle = missing mesh

Means you haven't installed SLparasites right or you miss a requirement or a requirement of a requirement.

Check if SLparasite files are in the right folders.

Quick question,

 

There something I did wrong? My follower got infected with a spider penis. And I removed it from her but when she is unclothed. The penis is still there. It's even in her when I remove all items with the console command. I am on LE.

That sounds like a glitch and only the visible part of the spider penis is still there without the item.

What you could try is to get another spider penis via console or additemmenu2 and add it to your follower again, then remove it again.

 

If it's not just a visible leftover, you could check if your follower manager adds an additional inventory to your follower (I think EFF does that for example) and check if it's still in there.

Also helpful:

Dress up Lover mod to clean all inventories of a NPC.

or

Devious Devices Equip to check your followers inventory (or any NPC) for devious devices and remove them.

 

I think DDi's debug "remove all" might help also

Also, if you tried to remove the item from the console, it may have been half removed - devious devices are in fact two items linked together.

 

You may have to reload a previous save for the methods listed above to work.

Thanks for the tips and thank you donttouchmethere for the link to that nifty little mod tool. I have been looking for something like that. In the end I did a showinventory and removed it via console command. It happens again, I'll just do it that way and live with it. Love this mod too much to NOT have it in my load out.

 

Also to Deepbluefog, think might help if you renamed the LE link like you did the SE link(only with LE instead of SE). I DL'd both assuming the SE link had options to use LE and the other was just a patch job. Once I removed the SE DL and used just the middle one. Everything works fine! Might help the confusion, so many might done the same thing I did! And getting those dreaded red triangles and white (!)'s.

I just recently tried this mod out and it's working pretty great except that only the spider eggs and penis inflate. nothing else does. Do you guys have any ideas what could be causing this?. I'm playing oldrim if that helps.

What do you mean by inflate?

The body?

Or the inflation messade from DD => that seems to be an artefact from converting inflateable DD plugs to parasites and has no real effect ingame.

If you have inflation issues with your butt belly breasts you might want to try SL inflation framework or/and another bodytype
