Also, after a little bit of playing I've come across a problem with the Mages Statue at the College. When I have the YiffyAge mesh installed it crashes whenever I try to access it. When I remove the mesh and start the game again I can play through without a problem. Anyone else had this problem?

You mean the one in the center of the courtyard, by the fountail/pool? The Lykaios mage? That statue nif lacks collision data, so you can walk into/through it and is a bit jarring, but it works fine for me otherwise, no CTDs or anything. Don't remember any reports of crashes related to that either. Are you 100% sure it's the statue nif causing the crashes?

Pretty sure. Because I only CTD with the mesh installed. I remove it, I get the vanilla mesh, but I do not CTD there.

 

Edit: Going to provide a copy of my load order as well to see if that helps out.

I can't say anything definite about the college mage statue, but my experience so far:  Mage statue functions (without collision data, as Blaze mentioned), however, if Immersive College of Winterhold is installed (alongside the YA College patch), I'll get completely random crashes for an elder statue nif (specifically DATA\MESHES\cwi\elderstatue\elderstatueleft.nif)

 

Could simply be a placement/load order thing, or even a versioning issue with CWI/YA.  Just thought I'd mention it.  Happened consistently on 3 separate games from varying levels and my mod list is basically Bad Dog's load list.  If I was going to start a new save, I wanted to make sure to have a stable setup with a bit of flair.  Uninstalling the CWI mod fixed the crashes, so I'm not getting the exact same problem Foxia's getting.  I believe I have a few logs saved up from crashfixplugin & papyrus, but the Pap log is rather large/full.

I noticed Blaze put underwear on his bodies, which is kinda nice because then if SOS messes up you don't have holes. But I don't love the SOS underwear because it doesn't look right to me and it's just thick enough around the butt to show through on some clothes. So I made a proper loincloth:

Okay, so...In the Shark Race/Selachii thread, I've suggested that a more traditionally worn undergarment for the race would be Fundoshi, which essentially looks just like that. But I haven't seen any mods that add anything like it(save for one mod on the Nexus which is based on the vanilla male body). Regardless of that though, I like it.

Far as my experience went, if I had CWI installed, then I would be able to go into Winterhold once, complete the beginning quests at the College, and start Saarthal.  I could complete Saarthal, as well.  However, as soon as a few things were done, say; completing Saarthal, visiting the Azura statue, or a dungeon, coming back to Winterhold would be a guaranteed crash right outside the big hill between the mountains that leads into town from the western side.  Coming up from the south also crashed.

 

It's most likely just Skyrim being Skyrim, but my issue at least has been CWI.  I've uninstalled it, from a save that had it installed and subsequently had the crash problem (I've attached the crash log), and have had no issues with the college/Winterhold since then.  Except for a misplaced door in the library leading to the Arch-Mage's quarters.

Ya, fundoshi was what I had in mind for my model.

 

@slethis, I'll look at your load order tonight. If the crash is outside the city as you approach it I'm inclined to think ICW is conflicting with another Winterhold mod. But you'll see in my load order I have both Great City of Winterhold (I think it is) and ICW and they play together just fine.

 

BTW, over on the More Nasty Citters page there's settings for papyrus that are supposed to be good for script-heavy mods. They may be a big part of why my current build is so stable. I'll dig them up and post them here (and in the OP).

Hopefully that looks right.  Anyway, the MO list has the - sign next to anything I've excluded, such as the Perma & SkyRe.  I didn't want to add more confusion into the mix and just use Balanced Magic as I'm doing Breton spellsword.  I've also included a lighting patch & ENB setup.  Note that I've added on to your setup since fixing the CWI issue.  I also used your loads as a baseline for mod list order & load order via copy/pasting the entries into MO's files & line by line checking the actual order and not using LOOT.  This order posted was after using the YA metadata rule you listed in a later post, and then using LOOT, and still looking through to make sure things like master sorting in ESP's and loading in TES5Edit gave no errors (like xxxmod requires xxxxxmod loaded before it, which likely wouldn't cause a crash, but still an overwrite issue, I think).

 

As an aside, I've modified the Papyrus settings as posted above just in case, but have not added the CWI/YA patch back in, yet.  Would rather not muss up this save.  I can add it to another profile, of course, but might just do a separate installation altogether so as not to jinx this one.  I've been through 3 lvl 35+ runs so far before finally figuring out the trigger.

 

Sorry for being wordy, just hoping this helps a little for the non-beta.  I enjoy the work you all have done and appreciate the work you still do!

 

<last edit before I go to bed> Wanted to mention, Open Cities was added after CWI was removed.  They don't necessarily have a compatibility issue as the college is already in the Tamriel worldspace and not a cityspace, but just wanted to make that clear.

ok, figured there was a problem with my load order and so did a whole new reinstall of everything. Still keep crashing when trying to enter the college of Winterhold, Hiding these meshes in MO helps. I tried going to other area's. Got crashes with the Azura statue going to see the monument, and the Talos Statue in Windhelm. Hiding these meshes helps as well. I have not tried going to See Boethia, Namira, The Sovengarde statues yet. Having used Leaf Rest in the last play through, where I found the meshes not working I found AT LEAST Nocturnal, Dibella, Meridia, Ysgramor, Clavicus Vile with dog, Mara, and Malacath's statues worked without a hitch. Got crashes with the others I'm reporting.

 

For further testing, I even went and even installed the Beta 1 meshes to test to see if I still got this problem with those meshes. I know, they are the same meshes, was more hoping it was a slight corruption in the archive of Beta 2, and if it was it would have meant I would need to redownload beta 2. Not the case however since I experience it with those meshes as well.

 

MO does not show a conflict with anything else I have in my load order since nothing else really touches those meshes. But will post new ones anyway as a just in case type thing.

Eh. So, the Diverse Skyrim mod no longer has version 2.4 on nexus. Anyone have a copy, since the patch doesn't work with later versions?

Just get the latest and use the latest patch. I'm pretty sure it will work fine. 

 

So since searching on HDT Tails gave me diddly squid i thought this might be the best topic to ask in:

What is the word on collision enabled tails?

Or just some that don't clip so much in animations?

Haven't seen a solution. HDT tails might work but they look like dead rags the rest of the time.

Thanks for the report. I couldn't find anything wrong with either of those statues, though. Anyone with more chops than me want to have a look?

Took three tries to get this character right, this being the third. I'm not even referring to appearance, I mean the start. Tried the options in the New Beginnings addon for LAL, both Stendarr's Beacon and Eldergleam Sanctuary, niether really worked. Just went for the Dawnguard start, and that one worked, as that questline is going to be the focus of the character anyway.

Joined the Dawnguard weeks ago, and honestly, in spite of what it seemed, the atmosphere was anything but tense. The impression I had was, that it was something that had to be acted on as soon as possible. The information was known - Vampire attacks had been going on across Skyrim, though they were not numerous, exactly. Maybe some had the simple idea that some Elder Vampire had recently gained enough power to start directing Vampires across the province, for some unknown purpose. However, whatever may be going on was almost nothing more than speculation. Some, had no thought of reasoning behind their actions. They joined the Dawnguard for the sole purpose of killing Vampires - they would have no thought as to killing a Vampire that was otherwise defenseless, no matter what abilities they may have. The most I would give them credit for, would be their coruage and bravery, no matter how little my opinion might mean, since I felt little need to express these thoughts to them. Why would they listen, let alone care what I thought?

 

Most of what I had been doing, was training. Sure, there were no Vampires to practice on, but there were other options. To some, it would have seemed difficult, and they would not be wrong. Trying to train to kill something that, by it's very nature, was stronger, faster, and lacking some of the concerns which may be commonplace for most. The few others that did join, while I cannot say they did not train at all, they spent more of their time drinking, than anything else. 

 

But only now does the reason I, and many others joined, seem to be important. Recently, within the past week, a member of the Vigilant of Stendarr, Tolan, arrived in Dayspring, saying he had news. When he spoke with Isran, it was...not good. The base for the Vigilants, their Hall in the Pale, had been attacked and burned by Vampires. Their Keeper, Carcette, had been killed during the attack. 

 

There was little else to say, as something had to be done. Tolan had information about a Cave, in the mountains above the Hall of the Vigilant, which they though the Vampires had some interest in. I volunteered, perhaps foolishly, to go. Tolan offered his help, and said he would ride ahead of me to scout the place out. 

 

I arrived a day later, and found myself wondering just why the Vigilants were so bold. They, almost similar to the Dawnguard, perhaps come from many walks of life, but the majority of them may have some training, though it usually seemed nowhere near the skill needed to successfully deal with Vampires, Werewolves, or anything else. Sure, some had significant ability, but then why was the Hall in flames?

 

I found Tolan dead inside the first room, though I will say that he managed to put up a fight. Two Vampires remained, which I dealt with myself. The fact that I would be facing many more in that place, was not a surprise. What would be, is the reason the Vampires were there. Perhaps they believed it to be some kind of artifact, and they were close to right, even if they would never find out. 

 

What they sought, was a Vampire. One that held an object that I had seen depicted in books. An Elder Scroll. However, I found this amusing. I wondered, if anyone else made the same effort I did, what would be their chosen action in this case? I stood before a Vampire, holding an Elder Scroll. They, would have no want, other than to kill her, and take it. Perhaps it was a thought on my mind, but then there was my sense of reason. Or, curiosity. Why did she have it? What purpose did it, or would it serve? More than this, a fact that solidified my choice to spare her, was the fact that unlike the rest of the Vampires here, she did not attack me. Her first action was to speak. 

 

Her name was Serana, and she had a request to make of me - she wanted me to take her home. I thought it unusual, but wondered if it would provide me was answers. 

 

It did, but brought up a few more questions. Like one I had to pose to myself, when given the chance to...become a Vampire, in return for bringing Serana home safely. If he knew the truth about me, I do not know. That moment felt like ages, even if I knew what my choice would be. If it was a mistake, I do not know. 

 

When I returned to the Fort, I found the rest of the Dawnguard battling a number of Vampires. I joined in, and helped deal with them, and then informed Isran of what happened. His reaction was, just as dull as ever, and he told me about two people that he knew of, which would be of great help to the Dawnguard. 

 

I said I would go find them, and he handed me a sword - it's guard baring a rune of the sun. The next day, I donned a pair of special robes, and made preparations to leave Dayspring Canyon.

So since searching on HDT Tails gave me diddly squid i thought this might be the best topic to ask in:

What is the word on collision enabled tails?

Or just some that don't clip so much in animations?

Haven't seen a solution. HDT tails might work but they look like dead rags the rest of the time.

And the fabulously fuzzy skyrim, impressive work. Especially the adorable little ones, sooooo cute!

Not sure if it has been mentioned or fixed already, but it looks like the hood mesh that Serana uses isn't fitted to the Lyakios head. 

 

Also, Dexion is still wearing those Sandals, which don't exactly work with the digitigrade position. This could be something with CCOR/CCF/WAF, etc I'm not sure - but I have those loading before Yiffy Age, both the mods and plugins. 

 

Additionally, I tried using Better Claws and Gauntlets with this Altmer character, and perhaps this is obvious, but it does not effect the gauntlets I've tried at all. Maybe this would need a patch to be really effective?
