hello, please tell me ID quest "Dare to shout like a virgin" . Because my first meet Nactural end in cage forever )

 

You will not be able to fix using set stage.

 

You have not installed Zaz Animations correctly. All scenes will freeze if you don't fix it.

As you seem to like having naming suggestions too, how about calling that parasite thingy a 'suckubust'?

 

/crawls back under his stone quickly....

 

Since you will never see this in your inventory (unless cheating), you will never see a name. But for the sake of naming it on the download page and stuff, I will name it Donkeywho's Suckubust Tentacle Whip Thingie, and whip you with it as soon as you come out from under that stone.

 

 

/peeks out quickly, has a sharp intake of breath, and scuttles away out of sight as fast as the he can.  On further reflection, laughs a lot.

 

Hope you manage to have a great break, although somehow I can't see that imagination being able to resist coming up with some ideas for alternative uses for that turkey leg... ;)    As households go, it must be fascinating    :P

Just downloaded it for the first time today, and cant get the courier to show up after I shout. I used sqv and found that the stage had not been updating. I then used player.sqv on the quest and determined that there is no stage 10 but a stage 14 and stage 15. Set staging to either of them doesn't give me the message or bring the courier in. I'm using 3.2 and a new save with no luck.

 

Check Troubleshooting #4.

 

No amount of stage setting will get this to start. Also if you can't get Cassia (the courier) to show up, not much else will be working later on either.

 

Do you see this mod in MCM? If not check Troubleshooting #1. Particularly the last point.

 

Any reason you downloaded 3.2 instead of 3.3? If there's any initialization trouble, version 3.3 has that new and improved. Might be worth trying that.

 

Are you using a vanilla shout, or something from another mod?

I didn't see that there was a 3.3 version of the mod, I just saw the virgin source 3.3. My mistake.

 

Also I was using a vanilla shout but giving it to myself through the console. I don't know if this had something to do with it not working, but I felt like I should mention it.

I've copy/pasted Troubleshooting #4 below with questions added. Not sure if you've already looked at this.

 

Your first shout will trigger the notification "Your voice awakens the gods...". If it does not, shout detect has not initialized. Save the game and load again.

Do you see that notification? If no your problem is the game is not registering shout detection. This is usually corrected just by a save and then reload of that save. Tried that?

 

Also ensure your expectation of when the maiden should show up is correct. Normal sequence of events to expect when starting is:

  • Shout anywhere (any vanilla shout will work) - example: your first shout is normally at the West Tower after your first dragon slaying
  • Change locations - example: going to Whiterun after your first shout at the West Tower
  • Maiden shows up and quest starts (in the same fashion as the regular courier - sometimes need to visit another location)
  • Read the letter - quest progresses
  • Shouting again anywhere - the quest is going proceed immediately with an encounter starting

Like the above, share your steps taken so I can understand exactly what you are doing and seeing.

Clearly the mod is not able to register for shout detection, or it's initialization is not completing. There must be an install problem, or corrupt save. (new game right? so can't be corrupt save)

 

There's "Install Status" on the My Status Tab. Does it show as "complete" ? This will tell us if it at least had a chance to try and register for shout detection.

 

It would be worth trying this... disable this mod... start new game... save it.... exit... enable this mod... load the save.... fixed?

 

If that does not work, recommend you do each of the steps in Troubleshooting #3.

 

If that does not work, can you provide a papyrus log that captures from the point of starting a brand new game, your first shout (which did not generate the notification), then just exit to desktop and grab that log. If you need help on how to get the log, it's in the FAQs.

@VirginMarie: very cool mod, clearly one of the best I ever played, thanks you so much for creating, maintaining and sharing it ! highly appreciated, I assume you put countless hours into this ;)

 

@all: I'm somehow stuck (I assume) within some questlines and I fear it's because during time I did several updates to the mod, started with 2.2 or so , played a bit , upgraded to 2.4 , played a bit and so on. now I think I have "solved" major parts of the quest line but "thief shakedown" and "Tales & Tallows" does not advance somehow (some screens attached)

If I look into the stages of the "virgintraining" quest this has a gazillion of steps and it seems not linear as I have some steps done in the low hundreds then some not, again some in the mid hundreds .... and hint to give the mod a little "kick" to get it going again , would be bad if I had to start over (very limited playing time)

Oh one thing I forgot : where are the statues of nocturnal ? I was send to "activate" one but I have no idea or marker where it is (it's not the one in the sepulcher)

 

and one more thing: I vote for a nice little questine containing some fun with dogs , horses etc like only some not that good virgin would do :)

yes never try to set stage with this mod. Many things are not linear

Statues are from the Conjurer Contempt quest. In some upgrade scenarios this quest gets reset and the location will get reassigned. Tales and Tallows will put this quest on hold and you will see it continue again as part of Tales and Tallows. Likely working fine.

 

and one more thing: I vote for a nice little questine containing some fun with dogs , horses etc like only some not that good virgin would do :)

My husband talked me into the Love Shout including creatures, otherwise I'd have no beastly support. I wont be expanding in that area unless he encourages Santa to bring me a very expensive gift or something :P

 

It's possible you've got a "stuck NPC". It's rare but just recently discovered it can happen if a sexlab scene fails and this mod is left waiting for a message back from sexlab. This is fixed with a fail safe in the next release.

 

To check type in console  Help VirginE 3

You will see 3 values for Cassia, Priestesses and Ghosts

If any of those 3 values end with the digit "9"  (such as 9, 29, 49), NPC is stuck

To fix, set using one of the corresponding commands...

Set VirginEnablePriestesses to 0

Set VirginEnableGhosts to 30

Set VirginEnableCassia to 0

But never mess with these values unless they end in a 9. Then starting next release you wont need to.

 

Please let me know what you saw with these. Nobody ever reported this so it's rare and you might be the first.

 

Tales and Tallows

Another ghost should be eventually finding you to progress. Either you've not changed locations in the wilds enough, or the above "9" problem is your problem. The fix wont be instant... but the next ghost will be looking for you.

 

Thief Shakedown

Continue spanking more thieves from Spank a Thief for Dibella quest, until another reveals a secret. Either you need to keep doing this, have it turned off in MCM, or it's the "9" problem above (clearing will allow the Bodyguard to eventually, not instantly, give you the next thief quest).

 

Virgin Training

You did not say there's any specific problem here. I assume no issue. It's waiting for you to complete the next (and last) Daedric.

The animations dont always run and gets stuck with something, cannot talk or open doors but i can walk when that happens.. i unchecked the filters in DD and Zaz and it seems to work better now, the encounters per day i set to only 1 because some of the encounters can be started at the same time and add a dragon attack to that and its a bug party lol :D

 

The lights on the shrines are still very bright, i dont use any enb or light mods and my brightness in the skyrim settings is set to almost the lowest, planning to test ELFX to see if it looks better, using version 3.3 with the holo and horn turned off,  i do have facelight mod with the darklight option but that light is very weak and should not be a problem i think, can make a few screenshots to show in a bit :)

I'm not understanding too well can you explain what you are seeing in a bit more detail?. Keep in mind that selection of animations is totally between the filtering mods and sexlab, not this mod.

The approach is to let other mods equip "normal" devices. This can happen all the time in slots not ever used by this mod (hands/feet/blindfold/armbinder/yoke/bra). For the other slots like Chastity, it can only happen if you remove Virgin Devices when not in Virgin Training, which for the average user I'd guess is at least half the time.

 

What's triggering this question? And is there any specific Chastity Device you wish for?

In 3.3 you already had the ability to spread holiday cheer like Santa. Wearing the Holiday Hat and shouting with Thu'um of Strip (word 2 or 3) will gift your stripped victims the hat.
 
But the theme of 3.31 is asphyxiation and whipping which of course looks terrific in a Holiday Hat, and keeps the scrooges in check! Maybe surprise Cassia this holiday with the new animated whip.

For the other slots like Chastity, it can only happen if you remove Virgin Devices when not in Virgin Training, which for the average user I'd guess is at least half the time.

 

What's triggering this question? And is there any specific Chastity Device you wish for?

 

Thanks for the response. I was wondering because I find that belts go better with other clothing, while the torch and gem often clip and look ( in my ignorant opinion) a bit out of place at times.

I currently am at the nocturnal statue in wolfskull cave and my shout does not activate the ritual to have the ravens perch ( I've tried about a thousand times at a thousand different angles by now), I do have the quest up and the specific heading for this statue. Any idea why it doesn't work ? :D

The other thing I can think of is that you would need to be not "busy". So if you were still stuck in combat you wold be unable to activate the statue. Look for something left over not killed.

If you are being somewhat serious, have you tried lowering the MCM settings? I've been unsure what to set as defaults. But I'm glad I got your attention :P

 

Or maybe you have both the Workout Plugs and the Asphyxiation Collar at the same time? If so, have you seen what those workout plugs are dong! You should considerer yourself lucky to have any time at all between orgasms :P

hmmm, checked out the entire area, no enemies (Can use wait command, so no combat either). And I'm definetly using the right shout. 

Boy can skyrim cause some lovely confusion.

Try the "Force Player Reset" in MCM Misc Tab.

If you can let me know if it works or not.

 

If that does does not work...

  1. What version of this mod are you using?
  2. Has the same shout been otherwise working (causing the calming and loving)?
  3. Get me your papyrus log... if you can make it for loading the save right before, shout that fails to activate, then exit to desktop, grab the log. Info on how to get a papyrus log in FAQs if you need.

I tried all the things you suggested, it still didn't work, so here is the papyrus log.attachicon.gifPapyrus.0.log

 

 

Log shows 2000+ error messages all saying this mod can no longer find it's scripts. No way this mod can be working at all.

 

The log would suggest this is not a new game, and that you are loading a save that had this mod installed before... but was then removed... saved... played some more... then installed again. This would be a mess if so (see the golden rule here). You can't do that and it would explain why you have all those errors. If that's not the cause, something else along those lines has occurred. Or if this is a new game, the install is very broken. Or perhaps you have a mod manager issue.

 

This mod needs to be re-installed. And if using a save, you can't use that save. You will need a new game or take the more risky "clean save" approach using a save cleaner tool (I don't recommend that approach).

You've not commented on if you still have the problem. I will assume you do?

​Have you upgraded to 3.3 and if yes any difference made?

​If using 3.3, there's a "Install Status" on the My Status Tab. Does it show as "complete" ?

 

Also I was using a vanilla shout but giving it to myself through the console. I don't know if this had something to do with it not working, but I felt like I should mention it.

I've copy/pasted Troubleshooting #4 below with questions added. Not sure if you've already looked at this. 

Still encountering the issue with 3.3

 

in regards to troubleshooting number 4, when I load up the save it will say that it is waiting for my voice, but it never registers any of my shouts.

 

 

Clearly the mod is not able to register for shout detection, or it's initialization is not completing. There must be an install problem, or corrupt save. (new game right? so can't be corrupt save)

 

There's "Install Status" on the My Status Tab. Does it show as "complete" ? This will tell us if it at least had a chance to try and register for shout detection.

 

It would be worth trying this... disable this mod... start new game... save it.... exit... enable this mod... load the save.... fixed?

 

If that does not work, recommend you do each of the steps in Troubleshooting #3.

 

If that does not work, can you provide a papyrus log that captures from the point of starting a brand new game, your first shout (which did not generate the notification), then just exit to desktop and grab that log. If you need help on how to get the log, it's in the FAQs.

 

I tried all the things you suggested, it still didn't work, so here is the papyrus log.attachicon.gifPapyrus.0.log

 

 

Log shows 2000+ error messages all saying this mod can no longer find it's scripts. No way this mod can be working at all.

 

The log would suggest this is not a new game, and that you are loading a save that had this mod installed before... but was then removed... saved... played some more... then installed again. This would be a mess if so (see the golden rule here). You can't do that and it would explain why you have all those errors. If that's not the cause, something else along those lines has occurred. Or if this is a new game, the install is very broken. Or perhaps you have a mod manager issue.

 

This mod needs to be re-installed. And if using a save, you can't use that save. You will need a new game or take the more risky "clean save" approach using a save cleaner tool (I don't recommend that approach).

 

Alright I have completely uninstalled  shout like a virgin and reinstalled it. I have made completely new saves and still have the same issues. The new log menu isPapyrus.1.log

The log has the same errors. 2000+. 

 

I'm sorry I do not know what you are doing that is making it so broken, but the log screams out that you have a very broken situation.

  1. I have made completely new saves. If you are starting a new game, there should be no saves involved at all when you make the log. Please describe exactly what you mean and what you are doing step by step. How are you starting? Alternate Start mod? Vanilla game start through Helgen? When you created this log, did you at any point load a save?
  2. Why did you give me the log papyrus.1.log ? This is not the most recent. The most recent is .0.log
  3. Have you sorted your mods?
  4. What mod manager are you using?
  5. Do you see this mod in MCM? Does the Install Status show it's completed in this mod's MCM first tab? (I've asked this twice before and no answer)
  6. If you have v3.31, have you tried the "Verify Zaz Animations Working" option in this mods' first MCM Tab? What is the result?
