Kernel39 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Given the enormous success and popularity of Skyrim, it would be silly for Bethesda not to continue the franchise. Â Have there been any plausible rumors to indicate that TES VI is already in development?
penny_vag Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 i still haven't even finished Dawnguard, heartfire yet, lol
ladynurmana Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 http://www.digitalspy.com/gaming/news/a787639/the-elder-scrolls-6-release-date-news-argonia-and-everything-you-need-to-know/ Â lets cross fingers it shows up sometime
NickNozownik Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 They'll probably make another TES game because they're popular and make them a lot of money. I'm more worried about the game's quality. Like optimization, number of skills, spells, interesting NPCs, factions that you can join and choices that you can make. Choices other than "Yes" and "Yes, but later".
Anbeegod Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 May be out in or after 2018, most possibly late 2018 to mid 2019. Â Impossible this and the next year because Beth hasn't grabbed enough money in F4 yet. It'd be silly to release F4's competitor so soon.
skyrimfet Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 May be out in or after 2018, most possibly late 2018 to mid 2019. Â Impossible this and the next year because Beth hasn't grabbed enough money in F4 yet. It'd be silly to release F4's competitor so soon. Â I'm not surprised.
Molevalence Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 All they would have to do is release a portion of Tamriel like they did with Skyrim until they had it all completed merged them all into one large game (expansions) IE: High Rock, Summerset Iles, Cyrodill, Black Marsh, Elsewyre, etc. If they did that it and made it compatible with Skyrim it would probably be the largest and most successful single player RPG in video game history. Skyrim's popularity alone can prove this.
protocolk Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 My guess is that theyre already making it but wont reveal anything untill 2018. Im hopefull btw, they seem to be listening more to the comunity, maybe theyll learn skyrim and fo4 mistakes and improve Â
parkminsick Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 i hope Skyrim 6 unreleased... Moderate dlc come out in the work of many, we do not care about the problem Rather, i hope that do not come Skyrim 6
Tefajo Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 At this point i would be glad with just a remake / remaster of TES5. And i do not mean textures, since mods made those with plenty availability, but remake into new engine technology. I Imagine modders could do even better with resourses like directx11 / 12 technology, with physx engine, better meshes, etc  I never played previous TES games, but the idea of one huge game with all the lands (all released provinces) and tons of different possibilities / beginings / endings sounds very appealing.
Kernel39 Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 A remake of Skyrim using the most advanced DX12 graphics and physics engine possible would be awesome!
Guest endgameaddiction Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I highly doubt most TES fans care about a Skyrim remake. And even so, I doubt you'd get more bang in graphics and physics. Maybe 10-15 years from now, but if I was a TES fan I wouldn't want to wait 7+ years for the same game again. Â No, Skyrim is done. It's over. It's time to move on.
bjornk Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 DX12 Skyrim remake... yeah... and quite possibly incompatible with every single mod made for the previous version... I'm sure people would be interested in it...
Leito86 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 DX12 Skyrim remake... yeah... and quite possibly incompatible with every single mod made for the previous version... I'm sure people would be interested in it... Â How much care I give if current mods don't working with a remastered TES V: Â 0. Â I'll be more than happy to throw $60 to Beth if they come out with it (E3 16 fingers crossed) Â
Captain Cobra Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Wouldn't you rather have a new province rather that the same exact thing again?
protocolk Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Wouldn't you rather have a new province rather that the same exact thing again? Depends, I wouldnt care very much about skyrim, cyrodil or morrowind, but I would love to return to daggerfall.
Kernel39 Posted May 22, 2016 Author Posted May 22, 2016 What continents in Tamriel haven't we been to yet?
nIn nIn nIn Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I would go nuts over a TES II - Daggerfall remake - it's been a very long time. 20 years in fact.
winny257 Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I would go nuts over a TES II - Daggerfall remake - it's been a very long time. 20 years in fact.  Ha, that is to todays point unfortunately no longer doable! The Elder Scrolls 2 - Daggerfall is quite easy to LARGE (game world) 161,600 square kilometers (almost twice the size of England). An estimated 15,000 villages, towns and dungeons, about 750,000 inhabitants and monsters. Do you want the vast continent Tamriel (only High Rock and Hammerfell) nonetheless traverse on foot, which takes approximately two weeks. Not playtime, but rather real time mind you! By contrast is Oblivion and Skyrim just once 40 square kilometers, that is laughable.   with today's graphics quality would 100 DVD'S are not enough or the download would last for many months.  sorry, German page. http://www.spieletipps.de/artikel/4646/4/
Tefajo Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Well, many ppl say "wouldnt you like something new rather than something old but remastered"? Yes and no Yes, something new its always nice... but since new doesnt mean good or better i wouldnt mind playing what i am playing right now but with a better engine and mod capabilities. I mean, i actually keep playing this game as it is (in an old engine and with the same basic content) because new mods come out every day.. so for me it a little bit different everytime i play it. So, for me : same game but with new engine + better mod capabilties = new game somehow   Its a completely different matter if you would agree to pay €30 / €60 for it.
Kernel39 Posted May 22, 2016 Author Posted May 22, 2016 We've been to Morrowind, Cyrodil, Skyrim, but there are many other continents in Tamriel that haven't been touched upon yet in the TES franchise. Â
Leito86 Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 The idea of a remaster is to serve as something that'll satiate our appetite until TES VI which will more than likely be in a different province.
bjornk Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Skyrim is already "remastered" by modders and you can get it for free. "Oh, but I wanna play it on my botnet OS with DX12!!!" Heh, doubt Beth would ever bother with anything like that. They left the game in a broken state, remember?
