There's two kinds of notices. "Hidden" means pretty much what it says. Author has hidden the mod and it could usually be their updating it or don't want to release it anymore for the time being, or even for good (I've seen a few like this happen in the past). Or "File Not Found" which means it's been deleted by the author. It's not longer up or hidden on Nexus. It's just gone. So, the author of Wyrmstooth has removed it permanently.

This one seems to still be up. Not sure if it's still an old version.

The downloads there are gone, too.

The latest version was 1.6.

bummer. I guess it's never a good idea to put off a mod for download for so long. Not that I was super wanting it, but seen this happen many times. And yes, Vendayn, I'm mad at you (not really) because I was going to download your follower mod and you took it down when I clicked download on Nexus. :( had the page up for a long time just idling and was going to come around to download it later. She has the most cutest big eyes.

This has been noted in Steam as well. Guys are currently clearing their guides from Wyrmstooth and patches. Such a shame. It was a very good mod and I enjoyed the challenge of the final battle.

Clearing your whole internet presence is quite extreme measure. Let's hope that jonx0r is fine.

Poor sod, apparently he spent so much time on Wyrmstooth and his other pet projects he failed to keep his qualifications up to date and lost his job, and as donations were n't enough he made the hard choice to give up his pet projects and apparently all online activity with it.

hopefully he is queuing up in center-link and getting help to get things back on track.

Post Script

having created one of the best quest mods for Skyrim why didn't try putting an application in at Bethesda?

Beth isn't interested in hiring talent from the community.

At all.

Trainwiz queued up for an open position, and was told based on his qualification he might be up for a level design position, which is pretty much his weakest area, and of course one of his several areas of expertise.

Now I don't know about you, but someone who can quite put out the cracker of a  non-exploding quests with an actual decent boss with cool new mechanics that well should probably not be placing trees just so.

Well, balls! I knew I should have downloaded that mod. :(

I give you credit telling truth Nelly. :sleepy: People really don't care for mods until go hidden or pull from Nexus. Silly what happened topics.

This is too true. People want what they can no longer have.

Good thing I found this thread. I had no idea. As it turns out, I have an old backup drive I was just about to wipe and requisition for more storage space, and I still have a copy of Wyrmstooth on it. Not sure when the last time he updated the mod was though, this one is version 1.9.

I'll have to make sure to hold onto it.

Can you please upload it and give link to PM, please? As I understood (read on some other forums while trying to find it), author don't mind if his mod is send privately.

Just when Skyrim SE is around the corner.

I guess I'll have to port it myself then D:

Not sure if this will go well, though.

Wyrmstooth only depends on Vanilla-Skyrim.

So, it should be sufficient to repack the BSA file and load/save the ESP in the SSE CK.

It's the right mod to test the export of a mod to SSE.

I see, then I will try it over the weekend :)

Maybe I'll leave the BSA unpacked and let MO handle it like this.

Thanks for the heads-up.
