Susano69 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Honestly guys need to back off the team here. I mean, I'm checking the site pretty much daily to get some sort of progress update, and this thread is that for me. The unfortunate thing is, i'm a loyal member to #TeamNoLifeGamer, and the AAA releases right now, are bleak at best since i could care less about No Man's Sky... I'm paitently waiting, but i can't wait to see it come out. Just do your thing guys, and i'll be here when it does finally release...hopefully And hopefully Bethesda will stop wasting their time on stupid ass TES 5.5, and just get going on TES 6. And, hopefully they learned a lesson from FO4. No more settlements, no voiced PC, and not such a linear storyline for the PC to follow FONV - Shot in the head, left in a grave, go find the guy who shot you... FO3 - non-descript PC leaving the vault to go find his dad TES 5 - about to be executed...go do something FO4 - had too many descriptors in it, to truly make it like the others...sorry Shaun, I gotta rebuild the Minutemen first...sorry Shaun, I gotta help the Brotherhood of Steel, it just left the story completely un-immersive. Most of what you say is true and we just have to wait and let the guys who are working on this do their thang. ( imo settlements and the voiced pc is actually good but the story is lacking a bit )

I doubt they're worried about linear-story criticisms, frankly.
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'm pretty sure Bethesda lost their ass on Elder Scrolls Online, which any gamer worth their salt could've seen a mile away, what a flop that was going to be. So it's probably the financial issue, if Bethesda drops 1 game, every couple years, it's gotta hit. But Todd Howard prob heard about that Skyrim mod that was meant to make it an online experience with people in the same game, and the idea hit. But, publishers need to understand that the MMO is a failing market, WoW is the ONLY one capable of standing tall. And it's really based on the player base, a player base which isn't interested in moving. I will say i liked Skyrim's perk system over Oblivion's attribute system. I don't hate the thought that Bethesda goes for the Action over the RPG, I can create a good backstory myself, but they can't go the route of making such a linear storyline again. It's tough to not main story FO4, when the story is to find your son. Also, maybe it's mentioned in-game somehow, but do the timelines match up? I mean, the nukes launch, and PC gets to the Vault. Frozen inside the vault Wakes up to see Kellogg kill your significant other Go back to sleep / freeze Wake back up. Fast forward Shaun is grown and an old man, roughly 60 years old But the nukes went off 200 years ago. so are we to presume, that at year 140 Shaun was kidnapped, and the PC slept an additional 60 years? Just some stupid thought i had for awhile. Also, was paid mods a Bethesda thing or a Steam thing? I thought Valve was behind that dumb decision. I really wish Bethesda would've left mods alone on FO4, console players didn't REALLY get mods anyways, i mean a 2gb limit, is shit. And i hate that on PC, i have to deal with Bethesda's mod interface which was/is broken as hell and unnecessary when Nexus had been working and maintaining one for years, theirs works good, they need to stop trying to fix shit that ain't broke, just so they can call it "Bethesda" or "Apple"
Leito86 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I'm pretty sure there's an existing thread on the forum solely for you guys to give your grievances.
Halstrom Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Well how about whining about it in the existing "Whine about Beth" threads, this is a SexTec development thread.........
Lurker001 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Hmm... opinions are like....Well, you know.I am personally thinking that the settlement building options are going to open up a lot of potential for sex mods. Imagine what you can do with your own customizable player dungeons. Create your own Brothels, etc... the potential is great IMO.Also, just because I haven't seen it said on here for a while... Thanks to all of you for the hard work and dedication.
MRM18870 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 So, is the tool to import/export animations ready yet or do we have to wait longer? We started to do some basic animations right now. Well, as I understood "DerPeters" question is this - is it necessary to create new animations from the scratch for Fallout 4, or is it possible to import and adapt the animations that are made for Skyrim?
Kernel39 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Are the animators from Skyrim working on Fallout 4 sex animations?

I thought I saw earlier on here that someone had gotten some Skyrim dance animations ported over to FO4, so if memory is serving me correctly, I would have to say, yes, it is possible for Skyrim animations to be ported over to FO4.
Guest Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Are the animators from Skyrim working on Fallout 4 sex animations? No.
voath55 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I wish Skyrim Osex/OSA makers would make FO4 Osex version
pipdude Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I wish Skyrim Osex/OSA makers would make FO4 Osex version They might eventually. The biggest challenge there is that the animations probably can't be converted easily. So, it will most likely need one or more dedicated animators pitching in. On the code side, it relies on SKSE for the UI and a lot of logic handling in Flash. So, we need F4SE to get further along before even being able to start a mod like that.
Serpentus Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 great news guys, thank you for all your effort *_*

Todd Howard, who works for Bethesda Game Studios and helps develop Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, had nothing to do with it. Actually Bethesda is the developer while Zenimax is the publisher (Bethesda is a wholly owned subsidiary). Whether or not Howard had a hand in ESO is moot. Zenimax lost and still loses money due to overall costs exceeding earnings from ESO. What hurts Zenimax also hurts Bethesda since the tools running the former can and do demand their subsidiaries compensate for the loss. They're the ones who get to say if a product is "ready" or not by giving their subs a deadline to meet and consequences of cutting off funding to the project or even firing those involved if their arbitrary deadline isn't met. And, of course, Howard and Hines are responsible for the horrid decisions regarding plot, controls, "streamlining," poor use of the engine, and hyping features that were still under development and still are in many cases. All that said, can we please take these arguments to the proper threads? This is supposed to be a discussion of SexTec. Let's. I'm just still trying to figure out how you think Bethesda developed the MMO and not Zenimax Online Studios, when it's clearly and easily validated anywhere you search for it. Also trying to figure out how a PR Manager and a Project Manager for a different company had a hand in developing everything for that MMO. But I'll stop now.
tazdotnet Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 zenimax is the parent company zenimax online is a developer created to make ESO bethesda game studio is a developer bethesda softworks is the publisher i can see how it gets confusing but that's how it is, there are two zenimaxs and two bethesdas... now back to sextec...
iamknotsatisfied Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 When SexLab was released it had only 2 gender values, females were given 0 and males were given 1. Later male creatures were added as gender value 2. When there came the first female creature animation, the female creatures were also added to the existing gender value 2 putting them in the same category as male creatures which confuses the other mods using the framework. Moreover there is no dedicated gender value for futas making it very difficult to enjoy the best of the futa experience. So I hope this issue will be addressed in SexTec which I wish can provide full potential to play as futa and differentiate between male and female creatures. Instead of using tags to sort animations I propose to use gender value to be assosiated with each animation so that the animations can work properly and there is no swapping of roles in the sex scenes. Just a suggestion.

Yeah and also futa gender must be able to dynamically change the role depending on the the gender of the other actor involved in sex. This is simple enough for animations involving only 2 actors but for 3 or 4 somes it becomes a bit difficult.

jpeters Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 when the sextec start to be worked I´m willing to translate to PTBR also as the the sex themes that turn me on Thanks for the translation offering. When we will have something to translate we will let you know. Just keep in mind that right now there is no translation system available for code. So there is pretty much nothing to translate. areas like options menu and conversation can be translated this is the area that I can translate not the code itself and in multi lang games we have in the code specific sections for the extras langs lets do a challenge you post here some option or conversation that will be in the mod and i will reply the translated version of the same
Ernest Lemmingway Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Ah, yeah! Support for hermaphrodites so they count as both male and female simultaneously without having to switch between genders. Then hermaphrodite and futanari animation tags could be put to greater use.

If a game flops you do not cut budgets of other tripleA games if shareholders still see a future for Bethesda. This has always been proven to end up catastrophically or atleast hurt an IP(a bad example: Metal Gear Solid V TPP) Especially since this is an MMO this will only hurt in incomes of shareholders. It's all about shareholders really. All Bethesda's singleplayer games since Skyrim have been one success after another, breaking sale records of eachother. This is exactly why ESO does not hurt their other games at all, because they are huge sale successes. This will only hurt ESO in development.
