^ Could just use an imaging program to reduce texture size (or abuse that texture optimizer program for Skyrim).

Are there any mods that make Oblivion planes more scary or atmospheric aside from the ageha stuff? (Wow, lava you so scary)

I'm looking for a mod that adds (male) Xivilai companions. (Preferably using Alien Slof's Xivilai Race mod)

I had one for CM partners, but I was hoping to switch to MCS, and I don't reallly want CM partners still in it, heh.

Anyone know of one? :)

Try Koldorn's Improved Lava and the Lush & Gaudy retexture.

You'll never look at Oblivion lava the same way when you know it hits for a whooping 5K damage per second, plus the texture is nicer and the Lush & Gaudy, while uniform, definitely gives the Oblivion planes the adjustment they needed.

OBGE can help improve the general feel of the place, of course.

^ Good advice on Koldorn, now with the various creepy mods Oblivion looks scarier. Too bad there isn't anything to darken the skies more (sort of like darker nights). Think OBGE's fps hit on my rig might be too big, or at least one of the first releases was.

Run the controller plugin. It's a bit annoying having a tiny freeze whenever you start the game due to it loading all the shaders, but hell is it worth it.

You can switch them whenever you want and, so long as you don't use any AO shaders, the performance hit is unnoticeable. At least in my game, anyway.

Here's the guide page, though I'm not sure where is a working download link for the controller plugin now. I can probably upload it if you want.

Not that I know of' date=' but there is one for smoking skooma. It's on the nexus.

Addiction for NPCs - http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/31797

Smokeable pipe - http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/22612

... A quick search also found this, if you want to take a look: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/17159

Is there a mod that adds a mirror (that works)?

Cool! :D

It'd be even cooler if LoversStupidNpc creators incorporated this skoom addiction system into their mods. :P

Some leveling overhaul mods let you change the rate at which you level, such as Oblivion XP and Realistic Leveling.

They are, however, leveling overhaul mods, which aren't everyone's cup of tea.

Anyone know if theres a mod/method for better control of non-vanilla companions? I've always used the Classic Companion Configurator http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41396 for an actually functional passive command and consider the game almost unplayable (companion-wise) without it, but it only works on vanillas. I'd love to play with some of the Willows or Niners or Sunnys and such, but I just don't find the standard kamikaze death rage thats supposed to be "passive" terribly helpful.

Is there a race mod that lets you create beautiful black or latina female characters? I know you can turn the skin color darker on any race but I'm looking to see if there any with the faces that match the skin tone :)

Better Redguards will change the skin tone of the Redguard race to a darker colour' date=' rather than having them use the same texture as the Imperials. I use it with the F-Inev Chocolate Elf texture, because the BR texture isn't hi-res. The faces match to the bodies pretty well, but the ears are a little off; not enough to bother me, though.

The whole point of the TES series is to base their story on it: -> no player past. Worked in Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and now Skyrim.

Some quest mods I played involved a little bit of "history" for the player but nothing very intense, sorry.

Is there a mod for player immortality?

Not "tgm". Not invincibility. Just when health drops to 0, the PC gets knocked out and hostilities towards him/her end (PC is presumed dead by NPCs).

Ideally, with a script that makes in-game time (several hours) automatically pass and some stuff is stolen from PC.

Basically, I don't want to play ironman, but reloading saves feels like much more of a cheat than being a Highlander - not to mention, immersion breaker.

There's no mod that does exactly what you described, but there are some similar ones:

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/39004

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/41758

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42599

http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/24317

D2ks Life After Death 2 is close to what you're seeking because it lets you customize the "death experience."

P.S.

I recommend not to install D2ks Life After Death with Wrye Bash because the Wrye Bash is unable to extract Source folder from the zip package of D2ks Life After Death 2 mod. Make sure that Source folder is placed in Date folder or otherwise the mod won't work.

Wrye Shivering Death.

OK, you must have shivering Isles (or GOTY) and use COBL. However, when you replace Sheogorath, you become really immortal! Getting killed is than an inconvenience as it should be for a deity.

Thanks, guys. That's more than I was hoping for. :)

Also, is there something like FO3/FNV's CASM for Oblivion? Something that creates its own new full saves just by pressing a hotkey and cycles through a few dozens of them?

This is but one of several features of Streamline.

Actually not a replacement for the game's save system but an addition, Streamline generates a number of 'Streamsaves' (their number can be configured in Streamline's ini file) independent from your other saves. As soon as the last Streamsave has been made, it starts cycling by overwriting the first one the next time you press the (also configurable) Streamsave hotkey. Automatic Streamsaving can also be toggled off.

Posted

Streamline's autosaves are very reliable and do not tend towards corruption like the games autosaves and especially the games quicksaves. You can set all kinds of options on when the streamline autosave does or does not kick in (like after combat and many others).
