Anyone know what's up with Bijin?

I was just about to check out Bijin, and I ran into a surprise. The files have been hidden, with rxkx's reason being "I'm Tired." Not only that, but he's done the same for literally every one of his files. These things happen, and I normally wouldn't be a bit worried, but his work is amazing, and I use almost all of his mods, and consider some of them essential. Unfortunately, because I'm currently traveling, I don't actually have the files and may not be able to get them when I'm back to my non-shitty computer.

 

I'm fine with waiting for the files to be re-released, but I almost feel like they won't.

On that note, if anyone has copies of (either loose or bsa works, with any legendary and preferably any cbbe hdt versions) some of his mods and would be willing to share, that would be greatly appreciated. I usually use:

- Bijin Warmaidens

- Bijin Wives

- Bijin NPCs

- Toccata (as Elisif)

- Vivace

- Chaconne

- RK Followers

- Seranaholic 1.5

 

Also, if anyone knows what's happened, please do share.

Edit - Looks like Thuuum was banned. (http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3568165-thuuum-banned/ ) Mind that seemed to be in December and I got that mod on the 23rd Jan.

 
Edit Again :- Ahh different version of Bijinn AIO still available, but as noted below somewhat useless at the moment.

Hes characters were the best in whole history of skyrim modding. I don't realy get it "im tired". Tired of what? Does having a mod sit on nexus is in any way taxing to the modder?

I gues there must have been some kind of drama behind the scenes and he threw a fit. If i remmber right he said before that hes done with modding  and few months later he realesed bjiin npcs anyway.

The Bijin All in One was actually taken over by Mebantiza; the original AIO was deleted a little while ago.

IMO he's being worse than the thief. The entire point of releasing mods is to provide people with the content. Taking it down because one person is just selfish. If he doesn't want to fight it, then don't. People will still download the original. It's not like his income is in jeopardy over it.

 

If anything, he just strengthened any thieves, because now they have a more legitimate claim on the files, since the original as well as their licensing is now inaccessible.

Actually, reading, it wasn't even a mod release. It was screenshots of characters they said they made. Which just makes the tantrum pathetic.

For someone who does not share a file at all,that was just a cheap shot. I guess it is easy judging others from the side line.

What does my lack of LL uploads have to do with anything? I wasn't aware LL recorded everything you've ever contributed to or done when you register.

 

Even if I never shared anything ever, it's simple. You take away something from everyone because of a few. That's selfish. Let alone because of a simple screenshot and comment.

 

It's also unwise on his part. Because after today, the full mod package will be uploaded all over the place.

Call me blind but i don't see that much of a resmeblence between those 2 character on screenshot. Bjiin one is clearly superior in every way. I spend my fair share of hours on editing characters but i don't think i could spot somone using my faceshapes.

Still i think the attiude of "im taking my toys and going home" is wrong. I got pissed off many times on loverslab and a thoughts like "oh yeah?! lets see how you like if i make all my animations from now private" do cross my mind often. Then its just a matter of remembering im not 5 anymore.

Rxkx has made his permissions clear, and if anyone breaks them, then there are consequences. Honestly, if I spent hours and hours making mods and then released them not because I was in any way obligated to, but because I wanted to share my work with so that people could use them if they wanted to, I would be more than a bit mad that other people were claiming my hard work for themselves.

 

Rxkx knew this, and confronted her, and all was well until she decided to accuse him of being the thief, and then proceeded to delete almost everything she's done on the Skyrim Nexus. This isn't the first time someone has claimed his files as their own either, and I would also be a bit tired.

I got permission from Rxkx to make modifications to all of the Bijin mods and Seranaholic.  His only condition was that I could not upload the full mods only the modifications I made.  If I recall, he even offered to share with me the presets for his Bijin women.

 

 

I believe as well that it is a bit too much to take down all of your files just because of one foolish person as well, but...

Anyhow, I probably have most of his stuff on file since I know this happens often with follower mods and I was in the middle of compiling a list/collection of follower mods when his stuff vanished a day later...

 

I see someone stole his work, bummer, I hope he resolves the issue as he was nice to share so many great mods.

From the conversation on the Flickr post, his work really wasn't even stolen. Someone just tried to take credit for the appearance of the character in a screenshot, and it turned into a bunch of bickering.

From the conversation on Flickr, someone was using Bijin, making screenshots and uploading them to Nexus.  She tells everyone she created the character without mentioning she was using Bijin and I'm guessing everyone who viewed her pics never questioned her.  Rxkx confronts her, the dialogue went south with both accusing each other of theft and later she takes down all of her images.

As Joebe said, if she didn't lie and blame me, none of this would happen because I just wanted her to mention about using Ysolda face at least on the one page of her image gallery.
These problems happened in a row recently. I was getting nervous.
My English is poor as you know so if my first comment on her Nexus image was harsh or rude I need to care about it from next time.

I think he's going to restore them at some point. Modders are not gods to be worshipped, but there's no need to be disrespectful towards them either. Spend 100+ hours making character faces and you might be upset when someone else claims they made them instead of you. Seems he put the time in with Photoshop to verify it had been copied, that alone must have been a huge time waster for him.

 

I'm not one who'd care if this happened with my mods, pulling the mods is a bit of an overreaction, but I have not released any mods so who am I to talk.

 

Enough people have his mods that they could re-upload them if he decides not to, but I don't think that's going to happen so just hold your horses ok? smile.png

Wow. Cant believe all these people bashing on mod arthur. Nothing ever revolves around 1 thing. Maybe on top of someone stealing/taking credit for work he is dealing with a health issue, maybe a family member/friend as past. Way to jump the gun and act like a telephone tough guy when you might not even know the half of it. And if his whole world,minus what we know,is perfect and he's acting this way then that's what we have to deal with. His work is the BEST. On my end its appretiated.

If you try reading the highlighted portions only it becomes hilarious.

 

I'm sure there's a chance he'd upload the mods again. I thought I've read somewhere before that he was retiring and then he suddenly came out with more Bijins. Till then, it's best to just wait for him to cool off I guess and see from there.
