The policies the mods enforce are a bit much at times.  The mods get a little...assy.  Robin and the others have been accused of stealing people's mods before that were hidden from public view.  There have been other issues that I will not get into here.  There are problems with the management that I am SURE others have seen and personally dealt with here.  There are some innocent people that have been perma-banned with no recourse because the mods are asinine.

 

If it wasn't for the fact that Lovers Lab and the Nexus are about the only 2 reliable places to get good mods, I'd never go to the Nexus.

I honestly don't know what the whole purpose of this was except for crediting a mod author from this website. But if D0 and his team want to judge LL for the ads it has had and never having a popup message stating "this is an adult sit. Anyone underage needs to leave", Nexus is just as crooked because as far as I know, you have to be the age of 13 or older to register with Nexus. And yeah, they can say what ever they want about account settings and blocking adult mods blah blah. I hate to break it to them but kids in this age are way too fucking smart. Little kids who know how to operate Blender far better than myself. Can't tell me there isn't a good handful of kids registered to Nexus who are not seeing these adult sites mods. Besides that, Fallout and TES are rated mature games meaning ages of 17+ in the U.S.

I agree regardless of the reason it is a good thing that now people can at least mention this site even if it only ends up being to give authors credit where credit is deserved (for work contributed etc).

 

I would like to think that he is now seeing that many members that mod and buy these games (with the money to support sites) are adults. Which means they might have more "mature" taste. In the end.. they also have the income to toss some $$ to sites that they believe deserve it. Maybe he noticed how our small little site is getting support from Patron... . maybe .. Remember that most, if not all of us originated from the nexus at some point before we got kicked out or alienated. I'm right with you on the grenade part, but it's like the others said...modding is modding. And potential is all over the place.

That's why I still go to Nexus.  Modders still use it.  There really are some good mods being put up there.  I just wish I could get the programs to run on my computer.  I really wanted to start getting into Skyrim modding.  Every time I try to open any program that I can create mods with, they crash hard.

Try patching CK with the 4GB enabler. I had to do that with FNV GECK to get it to stop crashing. I don't remember if it actually fixed it completely because i stopped bothering with that game and went to Skyrim instead where I'm currently stationed.

Before links were available, only the mildly-intelligent ones actually found this site. Now, the mongol horde will be bearing down on us (I have a rather poor view of humanity). 

More importantly, this means we're going to get a lot more scrutiny. People that are extremely against this idea nexus-side  will prowl for pirated content or lack of asked permissions and report them to those involved. Bitching about the actions of moderators on the nexus site will be easily able to be seen by said moderators and their suckups, and may cause bias or worse to our nexus-side accounts. 

 

IMHO, Ashal, turn internet shields up to full and brace for impact, prepare for boarding, and man all guns. (May even want to backup the server as of now, for paranoia of prudish hackers)

The moderators will watch for any obvious children or underage individuals as much as possible. If you lie well it is on them. This site is known for adult materials and Nexus knows about these materials. If the parents of these "hordes" aren't paying attention to what they are doing (the children) then sorry I believe there will be more problems besides seeing some simulated sex.

 

As far as pirated content etc. This site has always had the view that if there is any and it is reported it will be addressed. That was another issue that Darkone mentions before on a few threads. He was corrected by many from here. If there are any concrete issues of pirated content from mods there the Admin will act accordingly here, just like if we found some there from our stuff, we would want them to respond appropriately. However the final decisions of what to do with the members which did the infraction is still of course the purview of the sites. Even our first rule covers that instance in my opinion.

 

Anything negative from members on the Nexus side is the responsibility of the Nexus moderators. Most follow the easy motto of not being active on that site, at least with the same name.. .

 

As far as protection from prudish hackers. We were pretty well known even before the ban was lifted from Nexus. Anyone that wanted to hack this site because of the content likely already would have done it. We likely will hve more issues with the added traffic coming from other sites than from prudish hackers. However who knows.
