Why should I download SexLab?

I recently downloaded ASX spells from Nexus and messed around with it, the I thought: "Why everyone uses SexLab when this mod is easier to install and use?" And that was what brought me here, what's the big deal about SexLab? What are the benefits? What I'm able to do with it?

Look at the mods on this site. Most of them use Sexlab as the framework for functionality.

Whether or not you should download - only you can answer that.

Sexlab generally allows for much more immersive sex. For example, you can initiate sex by raping an NPC during combat, or you yourself can get raped. There's also more animations than most other sex mods. You can also seduce NPCs through dialogue, become a prostitute, and much more.

More support. A big community. A LOT more options than simple sex.

Do you know why it is easier to install? It's missing a lot of features.

Can you talk to someone and ask them for sex? Can you have multiple positions? Can you rape others during combat? Those are only simple things that are possible with Sexlab and its mods.

Look at phase 8 of the guide and at the Sexlab Index to find your mods. Installing Sexlab is actually easier than you think, it's just a bit confusing at the first time.

A wide variety of animations, and support for various mods (Quest mods, romance mods, slavery, beastiality, etc...). SexLab has some top notch animations, with various fetishes done (Foot fetish, slavery, gangbang, bukkake and such). It's especially good if you like roleplaying. 

 

It's just overall a higher quality, with so much support for it, it's pretty incredible.

honestly, it depends on what you want in your game.

 

SexLab is a framework that other mods can hook into and doesn't "do" anything on its own. So, the answer to your question is best answered by you really..... but, maybe only after having a look at the Index thread ( http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19588-sexlab-index/ ) to see just what sorts of things SexLab makes possible (the sheer variety is, imo, something of a wonder).

The vast majority of the mods that use SexLab don't rely on spells to initiate sex, but set their own more or less immersive methods.

 

If you know as little about modding as I do the SexLab route is surely more complex, and, depending on the number of SexLab mods you use, it can take a while to fine tune things for your game to get them just the way you want. But, imo, it is well worth it, very much so.

 

I use relatively few SL mods, and am far from the most qualified person to praise the technical elements of the system, but, having first used only Animated Prostitution from Nexus (and having liked it well enough) it is now hard for me to imagine an "adult" Skyrim without SexLab and the many mods that people have generously shared here.

The thing about SexLab is that it's made for functionality. People can make many mods that work with it. The amount of MCM options in just the Sexlab tab alone is numerous. And to use nearly any sex-based mod on here you need SexLab (sometimes more). Difficult at first but gets easy to use fairly quickly despite all the options. But if you don't intend on using any adult related mods that need Sexlab, you don't need it. Still it's never a bad idea to try something new.

Lol ASX is still used? I think I only used that at start in 2012. 

As for Sexlab being hard to install I don't really think so. Except that you will need another mod to start the animations I find it really easy to install.

 

And the share amount of animations and functionality SL has makes is net superior to ASX. 

 

You can just install SL + Matchmaker and you can start the animations by simply casting 2 spells

Sexlab being hard to install- it just seems so when you are installing it for the first time. I've done full Skyrim and mods re-install several times and now it's like "Oh just install this, then that, oh and SexLab is working!"

Most people use sexlab because they want working supported mods not something that isn't updated and tends to be buggier then hell. From the look on their page ASX does look like it has been updated but that update is now about a year old since it was updated in Jan 2015. Think there is also compatibility issues with using it with some of the other mods. I used it once but after the mods started coming here I dumped it for better ones.
