ShadowGearX Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Buttshape 1 slider seems to have a substantial affect on the inner thighs touching. setting to zero helped me get my body damn near perfect to my preset. I had to play with a bunch of other sliders but Im super happy! Woohoo By popular demand (and I do mean demand), Bodyslide support!I have NO idea how to test if it even works, though. If someone could grab it and let me know that would be lovely.Big thanks again to 2pac4eva7 for literally creating a step-by-step video walkthrough specifically to help me get this done.Honestly, it seems like a lot of hassle compared to what I do, which is to painstakingly convert it by hand, vertex by vertex. I suppose I'm going to have to get familiar with this system for when I release the accompanying body mod. ill get on it right now sir/maam Edit: Where is it? lol Edit: NM I see it. Pretty on point, but from lower torso to around the knee area its a bit massive. I'm pretty sure I personally can adjust it to work for myself but I can guarantee it'll be a shit show on the nexus page lol Untitlet4345d.jpg Untitstwled.jpg Thanks for catching that. I was playing around with the sliders, and it seems the problem is in the "shape 1" butt slider. I think it looks fine when I turn that one down to 0, so is there a way that I can just remove shape 1's influence altogether? That would be a question for @cell or @caliente to be honest but that seems to be the biggest culprit in this particular case. I also noticed the move crotch slider is dragging the inner thighs with it. I don't think that is suppose to happen.

DixiePig Posted January 15, 2016 Author Posted January 15, 2016 Okay, good enough, as far as I'm concerned. Lets see how much they hate it on the Nexus.
ShadowGearX Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Okay, good enough, as far as I'm concerned. Lets see how much they hate it on the Nexus. that was for sure the major player there. thanks for taking the time and converting it for us even though you basically slaughtered your own child in the process lol

siframe Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Indeed, my thanks too. Your original shape is great, but distractingly far removed from my bodyslide shape. I think I'll try to find a suitable middle ground. Tbh it's a credit to your design that it still looks sexy as hell regardless of the body shape, cos it still looks great even conformed to my own preset. Thanks for your hard work, hopefully it was less like slaughtering your child but more like giving it plastic surgery haha... still traumatic no doubt, but all is not lost forever!

Lets see how much they hate it on the Nexus. that was for sure the major player there. thanks for taking the time and converting it for us even though you basically slaughtered your own child in the process lol That is an hilarious way of putting it. It doesn't actually bother me really. It's creative commons, so someone else would have done it anyway. If I do it, it'll be at least as good as I would want it to be. Pursuing 3D modelling has given me a very deep and fulfilling appreciation of games like Fallout but it comes with the curse of raising the bar for model mod quality. I will say though that the tension forces in the fabric pulling against the breasts shouldn't be there with a CBBE body.

I actually modified my preset a bit in the torso area, I set the "chubby waist" slider under the torso category to -20 for my personal body and I think that helped a lot. you might try it with yours depending on the thickness of the your body preference.
siframe Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Thanks for the tip! Yeah I had to adjust a few things a little to get back to where I started, but now I think as I said I'll try to find a middle ground and at least do my best to honour the memory of dixiepig's poor departed child haha
KibaLarnia Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Thank you for this awesome Vault Suit! 10/10 Love it
projectace Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 This may by my first post, and I honestly created an account just so I could come on this thread and personally say THANK YOU for creating this outfit. I've been trying for weeks now trying to get something similar with bodyslide working in FO4. (I've no experience in 3D modeling whatsoever, just a humble lurker) I saw you post this outfit on the Nexus, followed the breadcrumbs back here and wanted to say, thank you. You've made wandering the Commonwealth so much more enjoyable now. Especially in 3rd person DItto what earlier comments have been saying about you porting your body preset to FO4. I patiently await what glorious body presets you're able to port over to FO4!

I'm curious, how did you find your way to this thread? I heard that if you utter the name of LoversLab on the Nexus you get banned.
Calim99 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Dixie do you think you could make a white institute retexture for the suit? awesome work by far the best armor so far

I remember seeing somewhere in the Posts Section, someone either alluded to it, or flatout stated it. I believe they alluded to it, which along with the CBBE mod Post Section also alluded to this wonderous place. I'm glad that I did find this place though, as the Posts section on the Nexus is getting bombarded by comments, of both the hate and love variety. My "thank you" comment probably would have gotten lost amongst the others. Once again Dixiepig... MUCHO THANKS
bloody_revan Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 I like the body under the suit more than my own preset. Any way to get this preset? :-)
DieWurst Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Hey Dixie, would it be possible to change the first person view in a next update? It seems your awesome suit is using the normal long sleeved vaultsuit view instead of a proper one with short sleeves.

Knight_Ryu88 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I love this outfit but I found with my bodyslide preset the open material of the suit gets hidden by the my character's breast[ the open cleavage seems to be really small I know its more of the actual model that's causing this issue as 2pac's version of the vault suit doesn't give me this issue], also I must have not realize it by I thought the zipper opened the suit all the way down to the crotch also I don't know if ppl like the dirty vault suit but I personally don't is there a way to get a clean version, and can we possibly get a version of the suit with the same kind of texture or overlay like this mod does ? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3074/?

Monsto Brukes Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 The primary complaint is that it's unrealistic, which seems odd to me because this is set in a universe who's rules are based on mid-20th century schlocky sci-fi / horror. I can't help but wonder if the complaints about realism are an oblique protest against the mod's sexual politics, which is a shame because I think a frank discussion about that would be very interesting, whereas the realism debate is endlessly tedious. you MUST ignore the haters. MUST. For people complaining about the proportions, here's the really simply fix: don't install it. You can't make everyone happy. If you change it up even a little bit to make it more realistic, then the people that liked it as is (me) will be all over your back "WHY'D YOU CHANGE IT!!!!11ONE" These complaints seriously amount to nothing. They may as well be arguing about the color of the hair or the smell of the breath. you should not count these complaints as a complaint. Just put it in the faq on the description "If you don't like the proportions, don't download it. These posts will be deleted." And then delete them. Seriously. DELETE THEM. because they're IRRELEVANT. And when people start bitching about censorship, report them to admin. It's seriously a non-issue. And you shouldn't allow these people to get in your head if they don't like your work. There's plenty of people that do like it, so fuck the haters.

Criticism of that kind doesn't bother me at all, but collectively it indicates to me a lack of self-awareness... but perhaps the self aware part of the community just doesn't download mods with "Slooty" in the title. See... it's REALLY INTERESTING to me that media that are marginalized by the mainstream (comic books, pornography, video games) produce works that show what's commonly understood to be pervasive sexism in the way that they present women. Now that games are mainstream, there's an increasing push against that, and it's commonly directed against portrayals of sexy women. Bethesda is on board with all that in their games (forgetting about Arena and Daggerfall); They've made compelling settings with female characters who are people, and portrayed them in a believable way that's consistent with their portrayal of men. And, every time, the modding community takes that vision and throws it out the window. Isn't that interesting? So, I think people interpret this as counter-progressive, but I here's what I think: Gamers are familiar with people telling them that violent videogames will turn them into sociopathic murderers, but we know that we're capable of processing such concepts responsibly. I'd say the same is true of sexuality. Our mainstream culture and media are pretty bad at dealing with sexuality. But I think that the popularity of mods like mine indicate that a lot of people aren't being served according to their needs: people want to engage with concepts of sexuality in their videogames. Anyway, that's why I called it the "Slooty" vault suit. Oh, and I take back everything bad I said about Nexus. Some youtubers featured my mod (which was super flattering) and it turns out that youtube commenters are so bad that nexus comes out smelling pretty good.

I'd say that youtube commenters are just mentally broken while people are nexus are incapable of being assertive in anyway, shape, or form when it comes to installing or learning how to install a mod. Oh, and reading. Severe lack of being able to read to.

But here's the thing . . . understand the dichotomy. You just ignore them when you have the capability to mute them. Given the opportunity, they'd mute you without a 2nd thought...they would delete your work from the web. Pacifism against a bully loses every time. In this case, your pacifism is allowing the asshats to poison perceptions of your work. So. . . Just to be clear: You have the ability to delete the comments from nexus and youtube. Do it. Take the trash out the split second that it shows up. Oh and another thing: lets not at all pretend that there's no sexism in mainstream media. There's no super hot babes in these games because the so-called victims would strangle whoever made the decision. But I dare you for a moment to look at skyrim or fallout and tell me that the men aren't hyper proportioned in the vanilla game. Just stand around outside of breezehome near dawn and say "Good morning" to Eorlund Greymane. I'm an old married man (with a fleet of children) who loves giant natural boobs and first time I saw him in game I kept telling myself "it wouldn't be gay so long as our balls don't touch". And oh btw lets look at super mutants for a moment shall we? skyrim giants? Let's imagine for a moment what a female super mutant might look like. The feminazis would be all over the "hyper sexualized female", even tho it would have been designed in kind as part of a race. Look . . . I get it. Sexism sucks. Glass ceiling, general prejudice and discrimination and all that. But when you holler about shit like this . . . just like saying that a 18 yo and 16 yo having sex is rape or paedophilic, or Black Lives Matter people hollering at Bernie Sanders, or the woman on a 10 hr walk thru Manhattan . . . when you holler about shit like this, it dilutes your message and doesn't help your cause. I've dealt with many a feminazi calling me sexist, talkin about my "male privilege". Then I point it out to them . . . "as a black man in middle america, you don't think I know your fight? Do you really think EYE have privilege?" So the bottom line is by being pacifist, you're giving them a forum. People would like to help, but the shitposts are just noise in your threads, making it difficult for everyone else. Delete their shit.
