Update: Version 1. Get it while it's hot.

And also on the Nexus:

If you downloaded the alpha, I recommend updating. I fixed the Diffuse map to stop making those horrible aliasing artifacts that looked like little black spots all over it, and I saved all textures using the correct compression method.
The .blend and texture source files are also available to anyone who'd like to see how it works. I very much doubt that it is self-explanatory so just ask me about it here or on the mod thread and I'll try to illustrate what's going on.

new Armorsmithing extended on nexus

Looks FANTASTIC! :D

Do you plan on keeping nexus fully updated or do I need to keep updated here too?

I'll update both simultaneously. If you want to discuss the source files you'll get a faster response here at LL, as most of the discussion seems to happen here.

UPDATE: baked out those alternate colors I had when I was showing off the node system. They can now be downloaded to replace the vault suit colors. Haven't tested them yet, though.

These are some very lovely screenshots!

so my body is invisible only hands and head showing any thoughts?

Are you using the previously posted blodyslide? I noticed that doesnt work with the new esp (different name now). I'm using the old previously posted esp and the new textures and its working fine. (also outfitstudio edited the butt a bit, came out really high on my character)

UPADTE:

It seems that to make it bodyslide compatible, it would be best to begin with a CBBE version:

So on the Nexus there is much ado about the unrealistic proportions of the body. I thought it was obvious that my intention was to create something that violates Fallout 4's design aesthetic, defies realism, and shatters suspension of disbelief, all in the service of the male gaze towards the purpose of sexual objectification.

That's why it's called a "slooty" jumpsuit.

The primary complaint is that it's unrealistic, which seems odd to me because this is set in a universe who's rules are based on mid-20th century schlocky sci-fi / horror. I can't help but wonder if the complaints about realism are an oblique protest against the mod's sexual politics, which is a shame because I think a frank discussion about that would be very interesting, whereas the realism debate is endlessly tedious.

Anyway, next step is to export out the model that fits the CBBE body and see if I can figure out this bodyslide compatibility stuff. If anyone knows how that works, I'd love an explanation or a link to a tutorial. Outside of blender modelling, I'm a complete novice.

Also some tips on how to correctly get my images into these posts would be great.

Thanks for the great screeshots, it makes me very happy to see it get so much good use.

There's absolutely nothing I love more than complaints about the realism of breast size in obviously fantasy settings. I do 3D rendering of... rather well-endowed ladies... in fantasy and sci-fi settings, so I hear it a lot.

It's like, really, it's a picture of a woman with a laser rifle shooting at bug-eyed aliens, and your realism complaint is about the size of her boobs? The laser rifle and bug-eyed alien were okay, but the boobs aren't, even though women with that body shape and size actually exist in reality, where the alien and laser rifle don't?

Keep up the good work. While I'd like a CBBE Bodyslide version too (just to make the boobs even bigger!) there's nothing wrong with your own shape.

This bodyslide thing is out of hand. I personally think there should be some artistic value on newly created outfits and respected that the outfit only fits one body type. Clipping and texture stretching is something i do not like seeing in games.

I like this outfit and would rather make a preset naked body that fits into the suit. If the suit is standalone the player character happened to find a jumpsuit that fits her in the wasteland.

To think about realism finding outfits in the waste that suit the character perfectly every time is a bit "wtf"-moment. Thats why i have recently found myself disliking the whole bodyslide/outfit studio demands presented by players to modders.

I think the greatest problem with the lack of CBBE compatibilty is not the unrealistic proportions but the issues with all other pieces of armor/clothes you can wear over that suit.

Combat armor, metal armor etc. would float or badly clip into your awesome suit and thats kind of ugly.

But anyway... as i already said awesome suit and thanks for making it.

This sounds like the story of my modding life. Half the comments on nexus of my mod are complaining about boob size, even though they can be batch built to any preset :(

I can point out several real life women that look like my bodyslide presets

Thanks for making and releasing this, I've been watching your posts, now I'm enjoying the mod. Between your jumpsuit and 2pac's silver shroud, Fallout 4 just gained a lot more playtime. Many like to play FO vanilla bodies and clothing, which is fine, but I wish they wouldn't try to force me to do so by discouraging non-lore modders. The over 6000 downloads shows the real picture, not the few comments criticizing the body shape.

Again, thanks
