I have no idea what caused it. When I use the Show Race Menu I don't get it back either, unless I switch race.

Did you install enhanced editor? I has some .tri files that could help. (Or if you have it installed try removing it - maybe its conflicting with something.)

I was wondering if there is away to fix the slight shade variation on the hands and head compared to the body. ( I.E they are a shade brighter than the body)

 

I tried using the Nails with gloss posted earlier but all it did was make the body turn blue ( I believe a missing texture...just not sure where) ...but the nails looked awesome!

 

i dont mind the white nails ... I just want to get rid of the seams as best as possible lol.

 

Edit: I tried using CBBE as mentioned earlier but the shades were still off.

Try editing the _s maps for less gloss (darker) and maybe try new face textures from other authors.

it might be a stealth bug, I had the same problem. Every time i used a stealth potion or used the last stealth skill and loaded a new area i had the same problem with my breton character.

Well there is a problem with the Enhanced editor puffy cheeks. They are too puffy for some eyes causing a weird eye problem. the only solution I have found was not to pick one of the effected eyes .

 

Also there is a stealth bug as mentioned in the post above, so it couldn't hurt to try his fix!

 

As for altering s maps... Not a modder / Modeler so, yea... I guess I can look around for other skins ... Ty for your time!

Thanks for the tip - i'll update the full archive so that it has that fix for invisibility / eyes.

I've been playing around with gloss textures today, because I've been working on a tattoo, so anyway I thought I'd stick a little info on how to mod monoli textures here for people at my (low) skill level, because they're in a different folder, things like text blend or auto install don't work.

 

So an easy semi-manual fix.

 

What to do before installing your glossy skin mod:

 

1)Backup all the files for your normal character data\textures\actors\character\female (what I do is select every file and add to female.rar

 

2) backup your monoli files data\textures\actors\character\monoli\female (i rar these too)

 

3) copy your monoli textures to the normal character folder (see file pathc above)

 

Now we're ready to install some gloss!! I recommend gloss tech, (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5437 ) install as it says, or manually, what it'll do is put files in your textures\actors\character\female folder, excellent!

 

Now to blend them, so that your face has the same shine as your body. Install Caliente's Tex Blend (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5737 )

 

1)open texture blender, select the body parts, I just did them all one after the other but importantly you want to do the head.

 

2)select specularity, not colour

 

3) click preview... why not? not sure if it makes a difference if you don't but I'm a little superstitious O_O

 

4) click blend! tadaaah

 

Now we have to move them back! Copy/cut all the files in your character/female folder and move them to character/monoli/female folder, once there you can rar them as well if you want, for easy switching.

 

But wait, your normal character female folder isn't quite right?! Delete everything there except your .rar(s?) and then extract the backup you made and voila, everything is as it was but now your monoli will shine, either slightly or to a ridiculous degree, depending on your gloss options.

Hi everyone especially Kashim,

 

Im not a modder, So this might be all bullshit, but i had a problem with the eyes and i think i solved it.

 

everytime i openened my 'showracemenu' and chose the last eye shape it looked weird(left bottom corner). so i opened the 'puffy cheeks.rar file' and also opened the 'pretty face pack.rar file'.

I noticed that there were some files in the pretty face pack that were not in the puffy cheeks folder, And when i added those files to the puffy cheeks folder the eyes where normal(Bottom right corner). So i think that the puffy cheeks.rar file is incomplete

I'll edit that later, but femalehead.nif is defiantely not needed. Thats the head shape.

the 1st person camera is too high.

if i enter showracemenu, and enter name and confirm the camera will position itself in the way it should be for this race: lower.

 

but if i enter showracemenu my stats will reset, so can i do this without my stats resetting?

wait, false alarm. i read somewhere that magick, health, stamina are evened out but they do not reset when entering showracemenu and confirming right away. tried it out. magick still at 140 like i chose.

 

maybe something for the opening post?

The armorsets from SyrimNexus werent really my taste, they changed the body to much or they had strange names like "witch girl 001dc". So if you got recommendations tell me.

Your stats WILL change if you swap the race through race menu, but thats the only way to properly apply the mod - just write the stats down and later reapply them using console command:

 

player.setav "skillname" "value"

 

The fact that your magicka stayed at 140 is just pure luck.

I've got a suggestion for anyone looking for armor, try Remodeled armors for CBBEv3M, downloaded this mod and did a race change, PERFECT FIT, no clipping whatsoever, also no changes chest wise!!
