Some reason, when I use OSA/OSex, face animations and sex sounds is not working.  :-/
Do somebody know, how to fix it?

 

I am having the same problem and have not yet found a solution. All facial animations and all sounds are missing when I use 0SA/0sex 1.09. They work fine with OSA 1.085B and 0sex 1.084J with nothing else changed, but not with the new 1.09 versions.

 

I think I should be using the newest versions of all requirements. FNIS is version 6.3, XPMSE is version 3.90 and I let OSA overwrite everything it conflicts with, like MfgConsole, ActorUtil, StorageUtil, PapyrusUtil, etc. so those should be fine too.

 

I tried with clean save and it did not change anything, I experimented a bit with letting other stuff overwrite OSA, but nothing really changed. I have BBLS in my current game which I suspected may interfere with OSA, but removing it and trying without did not fix the problem.

 

So any tips how to diagnose and solve the problem would be appreciated.

I thought that I have this problem, because I have a SexLab Framework . . .
 
OSA/OSex don`t contain squirts & cumshots . . . so I decided correct that. I found only one way to add squirts & cumshots - installation of SexLab Cumshot 1.7.2 & SexLab Squirt Reborn 2.02 and SexLab Framework, of course.
 
So, I reinstalled OSA/OSex & all OSex plugins and SexLab Framework & all SexLab plugins.
It`s not helped. The problem is not fixed.
So I don`t know how to figure out, what`s wrong. My guesses is over.
 
You said, that 1.085B is stable - Well, than solution is simple: uninstalling 1.09 and installing 1.085B.
Yes-yes, 1.085B have less of animations, but it stable and have no "dead ends", I mean: when you can start some pose, but you can`t stop it (only "Num ." button).
Any way, 1.09 is released for testing and not complited yet.
 
By the way, is 1.09 plugis can be used for 1.085B?

So, I`m right now uninstalled 1.09 and installed 1.084J & 1.085B - it`s finally started working  :P

 

Looks like it`s only way to fix sex sounds and face mimic. Not perfect but something at least.

I verified that 0sex 1.09 facial animations work as intended when I use a clean install with nothing but OSA and its requirements. So it must be an issue with our modlists. I have further verified that it is not an issue caused by FNIS 6.3.

 

And its also not an issue caused by an incorrect load order, it must be some kind of file conflict. I already tried removing a whole bunch of stuff without much success so far. Among others I removed every SKSE plugin thats not OSA related, the Netimmerse stuff, AOS2, a whole bunch of Animation mods, everything that touched the mouth mesh, Bodyslide Meshes, everything HDT related, SOS even RaceMenu. No luck, none of these cause the issue for me, so it must be caused by something else.

 

I will continue tomorrow and I am pretty sure I can figure this out.

I have noticed some cases where the animations go on a loop forever. I couldn't tell you the exact animations, but in the navigate menu, I was switching between the top mid column/bottom left column. It just kept switching back and forth between two positions and never found its way to the intended animation is what I'm guessing.

Essentially I had to end the scene with . to fix it. Switching to Warp did nothing. In fact, I'm not even sure I had the option? Maybe I did but... I'll look into finding the exact "path" where it bugs out when I can. Sadly, I don't have much free time lately.

that's actually pretty decent, it could maybe use a little more hollow sound I think? it'd be hard for me to describe but i know it when i hear it during sex or watching porn when you hear that 'clapping' sound.

also could it have anything to do with the alignments being changed in  now removed SexLab previously?

Alignment issues can be caused by the scale of characters being changed by mods or interfaces like racemenu. For alignment to work, the heights of the actors can't be tampered with outside of what they are originally given during the character creation screen. It wouldn't have anything to do with uninstalling Sexlab previously as I uninstalled that prior to installing OSA and Osex myself, which by the way can run fine alongside each other in case you were wondering.

I had the same problem sometimes. In one case however I saw how it happened - When starting the animation the NPC moved to the PC. But the NPC approached in the wrong angel and pushed the PC aside. OSex however seemed to assume that the PC was still at the same position it was when the alignment sequence started. In an other case there was a object in the way, and I suspect this caused the misalignment. Maybe it would help if OSex checks  whether the alignment was successful or not and starts a realign sequence in case the first alignment attempt failed.

I have figured out which mod caused the issue for me: Simple Crosshair

It consists of nothing but a Interface\hudmenu.swf file. No idea how exactly that is causing face animations to stop working. An alternative to Simple Crosshair is the mod Small Crosshair, which I might try out later. But so far I am just happy 0sex works as intended.

I just spent a couple of hours testing 0sex and have found that sometimes the NPCs just kind of 'jump away' from me. That seems to be caused mostly because I test with 'coc qasmoke' without loading or starting a game and there is something still initializing or running in the background that affects the NPC somehow. The jumping away never happens in my regular game, but I believe I have seen misalignments with 0sex 1.09 occasionally.

 

That said, while testing I found that when I have the NPC selected in the console, I can just type 'moveto player', even while 0sex is active, and it positions the NPC exactly where it is supposed to be.

Yes, the sound is more realistic. No, it is not better than the original one. It dominates everything and ruins the whole scene this way. Reduce the volume and bring it more in line with the other sounds, than it will be an improvement, but right now, it is just overwhelming.

can't get the ESG setup.. followed all of the tutorials. Regardless what I do, characters remain in their under-garments.

 

Just to be sure, your underwear is a removable item in your inventory, right ? Just asking because if you use a nevernude body of CBBE/UNP/whatever you have underwear that is not removable as it is part of the body mesh and you need to change your body mesh to a nude one.

just curious and i'm sure this has been asked before so I apologize beforehand but has CEO taken a look at the new CK for the Special Edition? just wondering if it would take long to port this mod over, that is if there are any plans to?

 

The bulk of the project is text documents that OSA reads and the flash side of OSA will not have to be rewritten for SE so it will be easy to maintain a version for both simultaneously.

 

What is holding me back is advancements that require expertise that I don't have so I am waiting on others to do it. I will need SKSE for SE complete and something like the current SKYUI available to make it work. I don't have the knowledge to do either of those things so I just have to wait until/if they become available to start making plans for SE. OSex can't be on SE without them but once they are there the transition will be very easy.

 

This certainly made my day! We just need to wait for SKSE, SE edition and a SkyUI equivalent then! Good to know what to keep my eyes open for!!! :D

I am close to having ready a few types of overlays like you mentioned. One is "Body Stats" viewable from the scene menu which has gauges that display arousal levels. OSex is meant to be a simulator so it tracks more then just excitement, the page will be a wide range of (most likely way too meticulous) sex stats related to their body that OSA can track. I'm also working on a toggleable "HUD" where you can switch through some stat displays on the top right. I also have some progress on x-ray shots being possible in the hud. I was planning on that to be 1.09 but got side-tracked with some more visual / detail aspects of OSA/OSex so i can't say when I'll be able to finish this. For now 1.09 on Nexus is my priority.

 

What the gauges will show will be vague for now, I'm making the display first and then will start tweaking arousal stats and how OSA manipulates them, I can't really "Balance" or work on them without being able to see them live. In the future this will hopefully lead to a complex balancing of body stats that impact the scenes but will require a lot of tweaking to get it to be something that feels cool. In the end I hope it will benefit AI that I am also working on to really bring it all to life (which is the ultimate goal of the project.) 

 

People might remember the arousal adjuster 1.07 had for the actors and this is what I want to bring back but have it be much more realistic and life like.

 

My team is kind of torn on the issue though of body stat tracking automatically in-house by OSA or if it's something that should be left open to developers to handle. My stance is that OSA is better equipped to do it in-house via actionscript and that most likely I will adjust and track the stats in OSA but leave a majority of the consequences of the stats up to papyrus developers.

Yes i would very much like this also since there is no real way to end the scene. Will also make it more immersive.

These idea sound great cant wait for the future of this mod! well done.
