Obviously pc specs are going to play a major role. Or maybe not.

For me, I try to make it as good as possible while getting an average of 30 fps.

"None, I only have it for shadow fixes" mostly, and for enboost.

^this, minus the enboost part. i havnt found any with it that give me the shadow fix and still leave me at or near 60 fps. using a older one, but would much like a newer one that isnt so bright.

Thats the base ini I'm using, granted i've toggled stuff off and tweaked it a lot but with only bloom, dof, detailed shadows and sun rays on, I get around 10fps drop. Still stays 60fps most of the time. Rarely if ever drops below 45. Also using the current .dll with that and works just as fine.

i like how that one looks. but it probably is too powerful to run on my pc. :(

For some nice graphical improvements and 30FPS, without any kind of anti aliasing because it's too much for my laptop with 4gb of ram*, and AA doesn't really make that much of a difference for me.

It rarely drops below 30 frames. 15 fps with more demanding enbs is OK, but console loading times are a bit too much.

*Disabling vast majority of Windows 7 services to bare playable minimum does the trick, most of them are completely useless memory eaters anyway.

didnt you say in the share your character topic that you we're using seasons of Skyrim true hdr? that one puts me into a slide show at 1 fps, you should be able to handle any other i would hope.

i don't have confidence

you should definitely be able to use that one. i put it in, tweaked and turned off nothing, and  still get a nice 55-60 fps almost full time. and my computer isnt very good. (i3 processor, 8g ram, R7 260x 2g card)

give it a shot, what have you got to lose?

I usually run it at 80 without enb , so I dont go for less than 60 in the world space, because I want to actually play the game.

I just want the game to look a particular way.  So I install what looks good and say damn it all to any fps drop that comes with it.  The only time I draw the line is with crashing.

I probably wouldn't play Skyrim as much or at all if it didn't look good.  ENB's are one of the biggest reasons for me playing on PC.

Full ENB 4k textures damn fps :D

These days fps don´t matter for almost last two years i only make screenshots hardly play Skyrim(2900+ hours) anymore.

I didn't vote because it depends. My main aim is 60 FPS (interiors AND exteriors), but if a preset looks really great and I can't tweak it enough to achieve this without sacrificing quality, I can accept 30 FPS (but not below).

IMO These "new" enbs have waaaaay to many options to tweak. Most of them dont even do shit.

If i can get a certain colormood, holding fps around 45-50 or more or less around/or in 60 without noticeable dips. I'm happy.

I use enboost for the memory fixes and because the injector version guarantees my stupid laptop will use the correct video card. I use I Can't Believe It's Not ENB for graphics improvement - not nearly as good looking but much faster.

I am satisfy with 40 to 50 fps or so, 30 is too low for Skyrim, the controls and mouse is just now where it needs to be.

I care about light and color, abhor ENBs that are too dark and too much "red" in torched/fire lit areas.

Don't really care about DoF, but would like AA, don't care much for shadows either.

I still don't understand why my indoor fps is always worse than my outdoor unlike what it seems like everyone is experiencing.

Outdoor I can hit 40s with ENB no problem, but indoor it is good if I can even manage 30.

I have some success with tinkering around with shadow, but the only thing that seems to work is decreasing the shadow distance, which lead to some very weird behavior, in large indoor areas I can clearly see there's a circle of light from current location that travels with the PC, and anything beyond it is darker. I also don't know how Solstheim is suppose to look anymore the waters is dark and the land is sort of saturated, but then again I guess it is suppose to look ashy and grey?

My PC can't handle most of the newer stuff so I stick to older ENBs.I think my PC is almost 9years old, so I have no choice but to go with 30fps.

Put it this way. my PC's hardware is a tugboat sitting inside a Maserati Grand Tourismo. If I'm just sitting in the car, it looks sexy as hell, but it I start to drive the thing, lets just say I'll make Geo Metros look like real sports cars.

In other words, nope not possible. I can't game with ENB enabled. It's just for looks. Until I build my own speed machine, I have to enjoy it for screenshots on this tugboat

I like a dark smokey atmosphere. I dislike overly bright ENBs. Currently I'm using Somber Dreams but switch to Winterheart II. I get a little confused about the FPS. Without the ENB and vanilla I'm around 100 FPS but with everything on I'm between 35 and 40 - my game runs just as smooth as silk as it does at 100. I used to have a FPS meter showing but having it just makes me self conscious about the game, so, I've stopped using it.
