Gender Preference is a SexLab Aroused setting. It affects how quickly people get aroused, it does not affect which animations are picked.

For orgies started from dialogue the scanning range is 1440 units (approx. 20 meters/60 feet). For dragon kill orgies it's twice that distance. For location cleared events and pleasant surprise events it's approx 30 meters/100 feet.

 

As for the dialogue orgy limits... it's complicated

• The maximum number of allies allowed is equal to the number of available lovers plus 1
• The maximum number of friends+confidants allowed is equal to the number of available and allowed lovers+allies plus 1
• 'Lower' spots can be filled up by higher ranks, so if you run out of friends or confidants to fill up spots, leftover allies can be used.

Then there are some scanner limits:

• 32 people of friend or higher level maximum (plus PC means a max orgy size of 33 people)
• 8 spots are exclusively filled with lovers
• 4 spots are exclusively filled with allies
• 4 spots are filled with allies or higher, but lovers in these spots will be considered allies for the above limits.
• 4 spots are exclusively filled with confidants
• 4 spots are filled with confidants or higher, but allies/lovers in these spots will be considered confidants for the above limits.
• 4 spots are filled exclusively with friends
• 4 spots are filled with friends or higher, but confidants/allies/lovers in these spots will be considered friends for the above limits.

How these limits interact is left as an exercise for the reader

 

Some examples for 10 people:

• PC + 2 lovers + 7 friends -> max friends+confidants = 2 lovers + 0 allies + 1 = 3 -> 6 people orgy, 2 lovers & 3 friends & PC.
• PC + 2 lovers + 1 ally + 1 confidant + 5 friends -> max friends+confidants = 2 lovers + 1 ally + 1 = 4 -> 8 people orgy, 2 lovers & 1 ally & 1 confidant & 3 friends & PC.
• PC + 2 lovers + 4 allies + 3 friends -> max allies = 2 lovers + 1 = 3, max friends+confidants = 2 lovers + 3 allies + 1 = 6, since there are 6 friend/confidant spots but only 3 available, the 4th ally can use one of those spots, so -> 10 people orgy, all of them.

In general if you have a mixed company you can get 4*(lovers+1) people in an orgy quite easily, but if the relationship levels are very skewed, like lots of friends but no or little confidants and allies, the numbers will be somewhat lower.

So for some reason when I trigger an orgy, it always uses the exact same animation. When it hit the control button it only lists one animation as available.

 

Any suggestion on a fix? Is it related to the tagging maybe?

That's what's weird, I have plenty installed. But no matter what, whether I have 1 follower or 3, it always plays the same 1 on 1 animation. Definitely plenty of multi actor animations installed

Thank you for the great mod and response!! With a better understanding now I've got a more specific/concise description now.

in the MCM all my settings are saved and remembered, except for the sex dialogue choices submenu. I can uncheck, it will recheck after closing mcm

 

 

then, regardless of settings, i always see the complete list of hypothetical options in the same order as shown in mcm, with 6 options on the first page and 20+ on the second (sometimes 8 on first for threesome/group)

 

when i was getting a "wrong" animation it was because i chose something that was a greyed out non-valid dialogue option for that gender pair

 

 

i've tried nuking mod organizer down to the bare minimum, making fresh save and the behavior hasn't changed

 

 

 

 

 

As for not getting the anims you clicked, that may be due to incorrect tagging of the animations. After starting the sex scene, you can use the O key to swap through the animations that are available for the choice you made. If most of them fit the choice but one or 2 don't, then those 1 or 2 are probably tagged wrong. You can check and fix that with my mod SLATE (see my signature below for a link).

 

Another possible cause can be that the dialogue controls in Skyrim are a bit fscked up, especially when you use both mouse and keyboard to control the dialogues. For example if a certain dialogue option is highlighted and you click on another option with the mouse cursor, it may end up still picking the highlighted choice. This should be noticeable by looking at the lines your character says, if it says something else than what you clicked, then you are having this problem. You can fix that issue by installing the Better Dialogue Controls mod.

 

The "more" option will only show if there are actually more options available than 10 (or the number you have set in the MCM page for options on 1st page, if you changed it from the default). The options that are available with any NPC depend on your relationship with the NPC and how horny they are: the higher the relationship the more options are available, and the higher their arousal the more options are available. So when talking to a friend or confidant there may simply not be enough choices available to show a 2nd page.

 

 

 

You shouldn't be able to see the greyed out animations at all. Try disabling the dialogues in the MCM menu, then close the menu all the way back to the game, and then go back to the MCM and enable the dialogues again. If that doesn't work, you can try disabling the entire mod in the same way and enabling it again. If that doesn't work either check your papyrus log, there should be errors.

 

It sounds like you had a botched upgrade, make sure you have the latest .esp and .bsa installed and that there are no SLEN script files in your scripts folder from older versions. If you upgraded only recently try finding a savegame from just before the upgrade, load it, wait for the ready message in the top left corner and then try and see if it works on that savegame.

When you trigger an orgy from dialogue the only filters are based on your MCM settings, Advanced tab (min and max group size, aggressive and furniture) and the genders of the actors involved. There is no additional filtering beyond that. Have you tried using the actual SexLab hotkey to switch animations? SexLab doesn't show a list, it just switches to the next animation. Do you have animations installed with the necessary genders? If you have 500 FM anims and 1 MM anim, MM couples will choose the 1 every time.

So some time back in late Sept/Early Oct I was complaining about some interaction between Amorous Adventures and SLEN, something about disappearing dialog, and you mentioned a "Minimum PC arousal to show" slider and if that was messing with anything.

 

I have read that slider as "NPC" for since I started using the mod. It totally doesn't say that.

Ok, has anyone ever had a level 4 partner (lover) suddenly drop to -4 (arch-nemesis)? I've had it happen to three followers, and have had to undo the SLEN relationship increase (which undoes just one increase, that doesn't make sense to me?) and start them over from acquaintance all the way back to lover. I didn't see anything in the few pages I read back... I am sorry if this has been addressed already...

There are many mods that can affect the relationship rank (positive and negative).  Submit will lower relationship rank if you rape someone through the Submit's system (usually it bumps down 1).  That's just one example.  I'd suggest looking through the descriptions of the mods that you have to see which ones can affect relationship ranks negatively.  It could have been something in the base Skyrim game as well (truning into a vampire/werewolf maybe?).  Did you kill someone they liked (Aerin in Riften, for example)?  Frankly, though I've never heard of one that dropped from lover to hated in one shot.

SLEN itself never lowers the relationship level, so it's probably coming from another mod.

 

The reason it only undoes 1 increase is because you only had 1 increase with these NPCs through SLEN. When someone is your follower they start at relationship rank 3/Ally, so you can get at most 1 increase with them before reaching Lover rank. SLEN only undoes its own increases, it won't undo increases gained through other mechanisms.

So, until SexLab, SKSE, & SkyUI (specifically the MCM) are updated to SSE, kind of hard to update this one without completely rewriting it, don't ya think?

Thanks for the fantastic mod, although I'm having a problem where threesomes triggered through SLEN events such as clearing a dungeon are treating my male PC as female for the animations. It's odd because my gender is set to male in SexLab. Any help would be appreciated.
