Zquad1 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 That might not be ENB related, have you changed anything with your Body textures? like going from SG texture renewal to say fair skin complexion? & forget to include the proper _msn, _sk, & _s textures?
Guest Vendayn Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Whatever came with Citrus body. The beta version came with its own textures. It had the same issue though. And I'm using the...Hikari body textures. But, I re-did everything and removed all the character textures and it was still happening even with vanilla character textures. And that was even after I used steam to scan for any missing skyrim files. HOWEVER, in 100% vanilla characters, the neck seam went away when I removed the above ENBs I mentioned. Then putting the modded meshes/textures in, the neck seam/color mismatch came back even without ENB. I probably need to re-do everything, but that is too much work after I put so much time into my skyrim setup. I'd just give up skyrim if I have to re-do it at this point. Hence why I am doing very little in adding more mods or changing things And grim and somber fixes the issue anyway. And I've had this issue WAY before even Citrus and modding the game, so no idea what is causing it. All I know is grim and somber fixes the problem (edit: I did try coverwoman texture or whatever, and its supposed to have a neckseam fix. And its for UNP (citrus said get unp textures so thats what I got) and it didn't do anything to solve it. But the neckseam mismatch only happens in interiors with grim and somber, outdoors its not a problem (like I said) and only grim and somber so far fixes whatever the issue is Also one final thing. The problem just came up randomly. I changed nothing, and suddenly there was a neckseam mismatch even though that wasn't an issue just two days ago. And I didn't even change anything in my mod setup...no idea why it suddenly appeared. I didn't remove, add or change any mod.
Zquad1 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 that is odd I am a bit stumped on that one too, there is obviously some conflict some where, because normally you shouldn't be experiencing this, with the way textures are made by some of the best modders out there, the neck seem issue should be minimal.. Granted some enb's do tend to show a neck seam more then others but to have a total color mismatch altogether.... like I said there is something else going on there causing this issue. & I totally understand about not wanting to re-do skyrim, It is a major pain in the ass to re-install all the mods you had to yur previous installation, BUT!!!! some times that might not be to bad of an idea to weed out a problematic mod, especially if you can't pin point the conflict, & I will also say... sometimes when you install skyrim just installing it can cause conflicts before you even install any mods, so sometimes the issues lie within skyrim it's self.
Forgotten1337 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 My favorites currently are Season of Skyrim True HDR, Bleak, and K enbs.

Could the idle animation mod cause it? I did notice it changes the way the character looks around (like my character looks down more or to the side) Its lifelike idle animations. That was the only new mod I got, but that was 3 days ago and it seemed fine...but I might just not have noticed it. Hm...well guess I'll try another idle mod and see if that doesn't do the trick. Be a bit weird fix, doubt it will work...never know. Thats the only relatively recent change I made in my game though.
Zquad1 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 It could be an idle animation But I seriously doubt it though, you could try disabling all your mods, then re-activate them one at a time, & see if that might fix it, or do this if you have enough HDD space & use this for testing purposes---> Multiple Skyrim Installations Manager I use this all the time when testing out new mods conversions, or if like in your case, can't weed out a bad mod. you could also try using TES5Edit & see if that will help.

Afro68 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I'm keeping an eye on this for other options. I'm using Realvision and thinking of making the jump to 4k from 1440p and don't want something that will kill performance as 4k is demanding enough as is. Plus Realvision was kinda dark inside and at night for my tastes. Plus outside was good during the day but I didn't like the way my skin textures looked with this enb. Maybe I'm not experienced enough with enbs just yet.
johnny2by4 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 someone here had an enb comparison pack where they took a bunch of pictures of the same scenes each with a different enb. let me find it. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/40485-enb-comparison-shots-20/

Bellona Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 At the moment: Bleak ENB (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24828/?) But my PC barely can handle it (30fps) Hey Bellona, I'm currently trying this one. How do you handle the pitch black nights? Nights in Bleak ENB are insane... It's really dark. I send my character to sleep/wait until morning.
blazingsai Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Well, I used to use Stakado Cinemascope ENB it worked well for me. Then I switched over to HRK ENB and Air ENB. Currently, I'm using Dreamer - Real Performance ENB with some of Air ENB's Enviorment Settings, RS, ELE, COT, and Purity and IMAGINATOR (COT desaturates things a bit too much...) I prob don't need them all, but it gives me the desired effect. ^All the above are performance ENBs btw (I have a shitty comp ) Now if I could only find out how to make the shadows on my character not look like ass...

You should be able to make ini tweaks to increase shadow resolution.

Kaz Aanh Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I'm using the older version of the HRK enb, before the author went full "max the brightness sliders all the way up". I have tweaked it to fit my tastes and its fps friendly. At this point it would be wise to call it "My own ENB"

You should be able to make ini tweaks to increase shadow resolution. oh I know, but no combination I've tried thus far has yielded results. XD Shadows will always look like ass in some way or another. That's because the Skyrim engine doesn't do shadows very well. You can make shadows cast at a distance, but they will look terrible up close or you can have detailed shadows up close with no shadows a ways off. You could try these settings. They work alright for me. I pretty much just looked in my .ini files and copied anything that looked like it did something with shadows so some of these settings may be more helpful then others. These settings are 4K shadows and you can dumb them down if you want or even turn it up to 8K for the best results. Skyrim.ini [Display] fShadowLODMaxStartFade=1500.0 iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 bShadowsOnGrass=1 bDrawLandShadows=1 bTreesReceiveShadows=1 bEquippedTorchesCastShadows=1 bActorSelfShadowing=1 fShadowBiasScale=0.6 SkyrimPrefs.ini [Display] iBlurDeferredShadowMask=3 fInteriorShadowDistance=3000.0000 fShadowDistance=8000.0000 fShadowLODStartFade=200.0000 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096 iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 iShadowFilter=4 iShadowMode=4 bTreesReceiveShadows=1 bDrawLandShadows=1 bDrawShadows=1 bDeferredShadows=1 bShadowMaskZPrepass=1 iShadowMapResolution=4096 fShadowBiasScale=0.3500 iShadowMaskQuarter=4 bShadowsOnGrass=1 bEquippedTorchesCastShadows=1 bActorSelfShadowing=1 iShadowFilter=3 Here are some shadow settings I've used in the past which looked good on characters and close up shots, but not so great for distance shots, because the shadows would disappear. fShadowBiasScale=0.1500 fInteriorShadowDistance=2500.0000 fShadowDistance=2500.0000 iBlurDeferredShadowMask=3 iShadowMaskQuarter=4 iShadowMapResolution=4096 iShadowFilter=4 fShadowLODStartFade=500.0000 iShadowMode=4 bTreesReceiveShadows=1 bDrawLandShadows=1 bDrawShadows=1 bShadowMaskZPrepass=0 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096 iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 iShadowMapResolution=4096 Hopefully these settings will yield better results.

Maybe I should take a look and see...
vram1974 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Performance and realistic ENB is my current favorite. I have a shit computer, so I can't really afford to use any performance heavy enbs and the FPS loss from this one is minimal. Next up would be stakado cinemascope. FPS is near lossless and it looks great to boot. I actually tried Stakado recently... or I wanted to try but couldn't get it to work. CTD on load every time. It uses the 1.08 binary and no enblocal.ini so I'm not sure what to tweak to get it to work. I'm going to try again after I tweak some things because I like the screenshots. For now I swap between Bleak and Grim and Somber Hircine.
Guest Vendayn Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 ENB rampage is my newest favorite, looks EXTREMELY realistic (to me anyway) http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y149/Vendayn/Riverwood03.jpg But wow is it an FPS killer lol. Don't use it on anything less than a GTX 970 4gb or you'll regret it
