bjornk Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Even tho i like Skyrim because of female character creations im still loking forward to TRUE adventure(which Skyrim don't realy have) and still jump in Skyrim keep making female models You'll never have a "true" adventure in a game which isn't "sandbox". At least, Skyrim with mods, gives you some of that. Games like The Witcher are nothing but a teenage boy's fantasy, the badass hero who kills monsters/aliens to save the world and gets all the girls. This kind of stuff doesn't appeal to me any longer. I'm only interested in the technical aspects of the game.
Chaos63 Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 You'll be able to buy/craft different armors. You can also change (Geralt's) hair/beard style, but that's about all. I wonder if Ciri has any customization options. Probably not. In TW3 Ciri should have been the main playable character and Geralt, a side character you could meet. I would honestly have dropped the series. Why would you possibly want this? It's like wanting to playing God of War with Athena...
winny257 Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I really shouldn't buy this, seeing how i have the first two and haven't played them practically at all, despite trying on several occasions. Triss is hot though You know the game is not even close to what TW1&2 where? Do some research instead of comming to forum and saying its something i wont play while you dont even know what TW3 is all about. Well, but I have both, TW 1 and 2 played and I can say with a clear conscience that both were crap! they were something of from bug-infested, that both completely new reworked will had to. therefore, I had to buy both games twice! so it is easy for CD Projekt, quick making money. therefore tell me nothing about The Witcher, nor is The Witcher 3 is not in the box and no one can say whether it is not also a big flop.

...0... Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 Whatever guys, nobody force you to buy any game if you don´t like them or had bad experience well sorry for you but not all are this negative like you guys(winny/bjornk(both anti TW3 fine))don't buy it your problem solved. I had a complete different experience with TW2(what bugs?) and liked it in many ways only was very dissapointed with end that was rushed. Sounds like a teenage boy fantasy to me:In TW3 Ciri should have been the main playable character and Geralt, a side character you could meet. Do you even know what adventure is i wonder? Buy it or not nobody force you, if you don't have fun with the whitcher series why you even come here to be troll and negative?..shame on you guys. It seems you guys like something else and now afraid others will like something you guys don't(why would you come here anyway?) and try convince others see same way as you do and TW3 is crap?...how sad it is that:( CD project is one of few left who release there top titles DRM FREE give all DLC FREE but you guys still whine bah:( If it's crap well thats how it it is then and move on if its great good investment that's how life works.
winny257 Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 CD project is one of few left who release there top titles DRM FREE give all DLC FREE but you guys still whine bah:( wrong wrong and once again wrong, not all DLC are free, some with additional territories are with costs. who buys only the basic game, pinching in the ass. Sorry German side. http://www.eurogamer.de/articles/2015-04-07-the-witcher-3-zwei-kostenpflichtige-erweiterungen-und-expansion-pass-angekuendigt
bjornk Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 @EvasiaDutch: You sound like a stupid fanboy in hype season. Why are you so defensive about this game anyway? Never mind, I'm going to leave you alone with your precious thread.
Vykroft Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 At least CDProyect RED will give us the REDEngine kit for mod development for free and never charge us for any mods, and with GoG we have total freedom in our gaming experience.... but, if you don't like it and still prefer Bethesda, then you can wait until the release of the new FallOut (with encrypted files and a paid for mod model attached to it)I prefer to be free, and not play with Gabe Newell middle finger inside my ass everytime I launch my game.
Kaz Aanh Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 It seems you guys like something else and now afraid others will like something you guys don't(why would you come here anyway?) and try convince others see same way as you do and TW3 is crap?...how sad it is that:( CD project is one of few left who release there top titles DRM FREE give all DLC FREE but you guys still whine bah:( If it's crap well thats how it it is then and move on if its great good investment that's how life works. That almost sounds like CDP has employed you to promote Witcher and GoG. How glorious they are and we are scrubs for not buying it. I don't say its a bad game , ( its our finest export imo, something to be proud of ). I will buy it for sure , when the hype goes down a bit , patches will be released, player released fixes. I don't trust reviews/reviewers , all these " awarded 200 awards " my ass , 10/10 IGN , 8/10 "no color people wth", god bless that part of the europe is immue to sjw otherwise we would end up with a Dragon Age 3 and lots of tumblr influence. I've just grown up from being hyped over games, I don't sit at home counting days to game release. I will probably buy a Enhanced Edition ,heh . Like I did it with W2. Also there are a lot of good developers too, like : Tripwire Interactive , they've been releasing free *dlc* updates for 6 years since the game release. Those free Witcher 3 *dlcs* , were cut out because they run out of time to implement them properly into the game/or were cut directly from the game. Its nothing fancy, most of this stuff already looks like it was cut out from the game. "Hey goys here are 16 free dlcs, we are good now right? *pat*pat* Good CDR , very good dev" Also I don't understand that hate about Valve , sure they did a mistake , they have apologized and actually listened to their fans by removing that feature. Same for Bethesda. Saying "LOL FUK GREEDY VALV , GOG NEW MASTR RACE, EMBRACE THE DRMFREE " , is a bit over the top. And yea, Witcher is the only true , grim , dark mature medieval RPG out there. This genre is almost extinct.
jxm Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I will start at hardest difficulty i can(i always do). After reading some reviews it seems this is a good idea, as TW3 might suffer from the same old disease of any open world game: balance. I will of course have to play it myself but it seems it's more or less the same issue as in Dragon Age 3, overlevelling might be a problem if you want to do everything. Of course, this is offset by having more interesting quests than Dragon Age had. But I think I'll choose a difficulty a bit higher than I usually do... Games like The Witcher are nothing but a teenage boy's fantasy, the badass hero who kills monsters/aliens to save the world and gets all the girls. This kind of stuff doesn't appeal to me any longer. I'm only interested in the technical aspects of the game. Sounds like the very definition of "adventure" to me, ever since the first people started to tell stories around the campfire ^^
van_gelis Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Hi everybody too many words too much flame here well who cares just play the game if you are interested or if you dont you can wait for Fallout 4. If you don't give a shit either way just keep it to your self.No pun intended for bjornk or anyone.oh and please if you will dear moderators lock-again- this thread if you will please thank you.

So going with your logic it is more business model than giving stuff for free
...0... Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 I rest my case, seems some have no clue what there saying or talk about and don't understand anything i say. Thats ok after reading these replies of some i know it's no use here on LL making topics. Have nice day
The DarkSlayer Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I usually ignore anything that doesn't interest me and just move on.
Carida Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Well.. I've already pre-bought the game. Does anyone.. who pre-installed it have a thought on it? I was debating on pre-installing it or not, but I didn't want to have to download any updates or anything. I'm rather excited about it though I've been enjoying the second one, which I still haven't finished, but not for lack of interest, skyrim is just distracting lol, or should I just finish up 2 before I start 3? I must say I'm rather excited about the game myself -C

How far are you into the game? Already Act2? Then Act 3 isn't really that long, and I expect Witcher 3 to be reference-heavy to the story of Witcher 2. Lot's of things happening in part 2 (death of kings) are the foundation of Witcher 3's setting... And maybe read the books as well (or mostly the short stories, which are better than the "real books") From what I read Witcher 3 wil more than ever before make references to the books, even characters like "Dudu", from one of my favorite Witcher shorts...
ChancellorKremlin Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Indeed, I'm curious as to how TW3 will reference TW1-2's saves, because so far no reviews seem to have brought this up, especially given the radically different ways you can play TW2 towards the end. I really hope these choices matter on some level in the new game. I know you can choose this "via dialogue" in TW3, but does anyone know how it works if you have the save? Do you need TW1-2 installed? Because I stored the saves and deleted them a while ago to make space.

Chaos63 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I doubt save imports will make that much of a difference either way, seeing as how TW2 only had a couple of references and items to show for TW1 import. That said, I hope the Aerondight somehow makes it back into the witcher's hands. The knighting scene was so cool I used the sword through the whole second game.

I'm over thirty too, not old Hmm I think I am in act 2.. its where he has to kill the thingie with all the tentacles with the witch. I had to stop playing cause it was 5am and I had to get up in a few hours lol this is why the witcher takes me so long, I always feel like I can't stop LOL Alrighty I will finish 2 than before I start in on 3. I will see if I can find the books, honestly I think the storyline is rather fun and interesting. Thanks for your insight! Amazon is usually pretty quick so I imagine you'll get it soon -C

Do you need TW1-2 installed? Because I stored the saves and deleted them a while ago to make space. I doubt it will have much impact. There is the console-issue, and I don't expect them to make much concessions to the PC-Version in that regard . And if Mass Effect taught us anything then that you can never have a game with multiple possible endings and choices etc, and have them really impact the next game. Despite some little dialogue-changes here and there maybe... So it probably doesn't matter if you joined Roche or Iorveth, if Henselt got away, or if you found out what was up with the dragon ... or under which circumstances the war exactly broke out. But maybe CD Red surprises me here? I'm over thirty too, not old Hmm I think I am in act 2.. its where he has to kill the thingie with all the tentacles with the witch. Amazon is usually pretty quick so I imagine you'll get it soon -C Hm, not wanting to discourage you but the Kayran-Killing is not even the end of Act 1 Still act 2 is ahead of you (and quite a decision to make before that), but at least Act 3 is somewhat short. And to make things worse for you: If you really want to know all sides of the story and secrets revealed one has to play Act 2 again, yet with making a different decision in Act 1 ... reading the novels and shorts is not really required, but they are a fun read. Not too high as lord of the rings, or Song of Ice and Fire. But straight to teh point and with a lot of irony, sex, swearing, killing, and popcultural references, or maybe more fairytale-references...But it might also be a strategy to first play the games, then maybe read the books/stories - for that "Oh THAT was what Triss was talking about, and THAT was how Geralt met Yennefer"-effect ... Damn, I would love to spoiler everything !
