well when I say my mods still worked all I replaced was the new skelinfos file you posted, leaving the previous old files where they were. (including the dynmoves file I slightly altered) and the jiggle was back so I assumed it worked.

 

I played a little with the compiler when I did the minor change I mentioned earlier so was aware of how you convert to xml, edit then convert back to bin... I even made a couple of batch files to avoid typing it too often too only reason I asked was curiousity really, the coding side is a bit much for me, I'd never have known where to look for the errors even if I did convert the bin into an xml

Yup yup! Just installed and everything is running smoothly...well as smooth as I is expected with this bullshit PW merge, but thats another rant.

We have been asking STO for new hair tech since launch and it's not a priority for them. I was wondering if you could extend the hair of the long hair style? Long hair has always been associated with ultra sexiness. The longer the hair the more female a female looks. I remember a episode where an alien had hair down to her ankles and Wesley fell deeply in love. I have long hair and I have received many comments from both genders. I think the hair in STO is not long at all. Long hair goes at least to the waist in my opinion. Thank you.

This is an old-ish post to reply to, but I did recently find the files that controls the default crew uniforms. Do you have a specific request for a uniform you'd like to replace the default crew uniform?

 

 

Note that if you do, then the random crew walking around ESD, Fleet Bases, your ship, and some other places are all affected.

I tried this with the Sierra Uniform of the NPC's on Earth-Spacedock and wanted to replace it with the DS9 grey upper. I failed because the 0 Health NPC are somehow not in the CostumeCategory file.

 

You can try using this file if you want all your ship crew to wear the DS9 grey uniform.

 

Instructions: Close STO, if it is running. Extract the "Playercostumeclient.bin" file within the attached archive to your "Localdata\bin" folder. Start STO and check if your ship crew are wearing the DS9 uniforms.

Ok, new mod for testing! Could some folks please download and test this new mod: Caitian Tails For Everyone!

 

Installation instructions: Download the attached archive and extract its contents to your "Localdata" directory [..\Cryptic Studios\Star Trek Online\Live\Localdata], merging folders as necessary.

 

Then, start STO and see if the following costume-options result in Caitian tails showing on your character(s):

 

• KDF-side "Spine Armor"
  
• Fed-side "TOS Mirror Sash" and/or "Enterprise Mirror Universe Belt"

 

These work for both female and male characters.

 

Known side effects:

Any character/NPC who wears those costume parts will have a Caitian tail. Also, if you set the color choices manually everything looks ok, but some NPCs/other characters who aren't running the mod may have color combinations that result in strange patterns.

 

 

Please report any problems, should you have them. Thanks in advance!

yes it works but i like the original better because the Sierra is more colorful that the drab Ds9 custom but yes it works. As far as having tails on everyone who uses the kdf spine for me not sexy enough. I'd rather see some new hair tech.

omg it works, can you do the same with the Orion's on the KDF ships. I am usually playing my sexy Orion and when she beams up to the ship shes is the only one dressed to kill.

Thank you. Works great without running the nude. Torso disappears while running it however. I might be doing something wrong, however. This would be cool to have a list to choose from in the next update to easily change the looks up easily periodically. Again, thank you.

Hi, well for the female fed fleet starbase crew and ships crew the mod is spot on for me.

 

I'm really not concerned on male crew, but some may like a specific uniform.

Yep they do wear the DS9 Top now but the colors are incorrect. They also need to wear the "TNG Split Bottom" pants. The Badge and the rank are also incorrect Thx anyway

Well I wasn't sure that this mod was working correctly after season 6 came out, so I reinstalled it fresh from your install file (the one currently on the 1st post, as of this post). It kept crashing the game. I narrowed it down to the "skelinfos.bin" file as being the culprit. If I remove that file, the game starts fine.

 

Is there are fixed version of this file that will work?

I somehow missed the updated file for "skelinfos.bin" but I don't see one for animations. Sexy dances are broken again. Any update?
