CTD on loading any game.

This CTD started after updating Racemenu to 3.2, and I saw a similar thread, but that solution didn't apply to me. He changed a setting in enblocal.ini, and I don't use ENB.

 

I can create a new game, and get as far as the Live Another Life Statue, but once I choose and go to sleep. CTD. All my saved games CTD immediately on load.

 

I've tried running TESVEdit to see it LOOT is missing a load order problem and it didn't report anything but "dirty" mods. I use MO, and I've tried disable and enabling various mods to no success.

 

Anyone have any suggestions?

This happen to me with all my saves, but I can play doing the following:

 

I have Alternate start (more fast than normal begining)

 

1, New game.

2. Confirm default character, default name prisoner.

3. Esc/Start.

4. Load your save game.

5. If load... play :D.

 

Try if work for you, I have to do this every time I play the game, but it's quite fast.

Just sharing my personal experiences. My Skyrim is more stable if I don't use the HDT Mem Patch and don't have any poses (like pinup poser) installed and built with FNIS. Also make sure you have set your SKSE.ini up for the memory patch.

 

ENB is always useful, even if you don't want the visuals of it. You can turn those off and use only the features that improve memory handling of your game (enblocal.ini): http://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost

 

If all that doesn't help, it's either a script mod's fault or your save game.

Where do I find info on doing this? The memory patch came with Trepleen's HDT AIO

I'm going to try ENB as the wiki suggests.

 

This crash even happens on a new game, and since I use MO, my game's Data directory is still fine. I can run the game fine with standard SKSE (not through MO, so with zero mods)

ENB made no difference, still crashes on loading the environment of a new game, or loading any saved games. I can't find any mention of how to edit my skse.ini to work with HDT mod.

Did I miss it somewhere?

Anyone know what the error message I posted means?

Anyone have any idea besides starting over from scratch?

If the problem gone with RaceMenu 3.2, have you tried to uninstall it and play? Maybe RaceMenu 3.2 requires any mod you don't have. Did you try to load game after new game? This solution works for me 100%.

I would also run a Savegame script cleaner on your saves, just to verify there aren't too many orphaned scripts which can cause CTDs

If the problem gone with RaceMenu 3.2, have you tried to uninstall it and play? Maybe RaceMenu 3.2 requires any mod you don't have. Did you try to load game after new game? This solution works for me 100%.

 

When I unchecked RaceMenu game crashed upon load.

 

I mentioned in the initial post, the crash happens even with brand new games. The kickstart method doesn't work for this issue.

I would also run a Savegame script cleaner on your saves, just to verify there aren't too many orphaned scripts which can cause CTDs

I have Savegame tool. games have been cleaned. And the crash happens even with brand new games.

It almost has to be a memory alloction or a out-of-order/missing mod issue.

Still No Dice. with the SKSE.ini changes and ENB changes.

 

CTD anytime I try to load an environment other than the starting room in Alternative Start. I wonder if this has to do with the CBBE Body update instead? I've tried turning off almost every other mod.

 

anybody else have idea?

I just upgraded to racemenu 3.2 and I notice I get a lot of ctd on load too. Restarting game and loading from the menu works fine tough.

 

 

I don't know if this is any useful but everytime I crash like this I check my papyrus log and it always ends with this line:

 

[05/04/2015 - 10:01:33PM] Reverting game...

Do you have the XP32 racemenu plugin installed from the skeleton pack? Did you try running it through TES5edit to see if you're missing a master file? Removing and reinstalling racemenu may work. I was having this issue a week ago and gave up and just un-installed MO and reinstalled it and started over.

You use ENB's right? Have you tried disabling it? If you don't I'm pretty much out of ideas, I use imaginator and it works great for me. It's usually a mod not compatible with SexLab framework or SL mods.

Just looked at your load order, try disabling realistic force mod.

Because I got the same issue. If I launch Skyrim, the savegame load well. However if I start to go somewhere and roaming outside, I get CTD on load savegame.
My HDTMemPatch log is the same as your.

YES Thank you, I am not insane.

I've said it a thousand times, I will not update mods as soon as I see it, better to wait a day or two to see if there are any problems with the update, but that red version number hurts my eyes...

 

I've reverted to Racemenu 3.1 for now and I can load game without problem (well I've tried it couple of times and it worked)

 

It was an absolute pain to google this problem...

I'm still crashing, I may switch back to an old version of Racemenu... I don't know. I'm pretty convinced that I've got something conflicting with something else in my MO build.

 

It's finals week, so I'll come back at my problem in a week or two.

I'm using racemenu 3.2 and it's just fine..

Maybe u can try to start a new game, then load ur last saved game, then save on a new file.

After that, try to use savetool to clean ur new save file.. Maybe that will work.

Oh and if u use groovtama's skeleton, i think there's an ESP there that has a connection with racemenu, in my case, i don't use that ESP.

ITS THE SKELETON!

 

I had it happen for me with all the 2.70+ vesions

 

Use version 2.50 it works

 

I also thought it to be racemenu at first but racemenu is fine

lol just realised he was using an older version of the skeleton.

I saw a different thread with almost the same problem and just assumed it was the same deal :P

 

Crowser: those files work with groovtamas 2.50 as well.
