CTD after tabbing out is machine dependent and unsupported.

I always, invariably, get CTD after tabbing out and back in. Some people have more luck, the fortunate... people. ;)

...

Try this - instead of loading your save right from the main menu, start a new game and then load your save from the new game. ***If you have a large number of mods (and sometimes a "large number" can be just one or two if they're the right kind) that do something tricky on loading a game, then trying to load the game from the main menu can overwhelm the engine and cause a crash. Starting a new game (or loading a save in a small, interior cell with no NPCs nearby) first allows the various bits of the various mods to load properly without trying to run over each other, thus avoiding a potential crash.***

I believe it's a known Skyrim problem, loading any game with more than something like ten hours played has a chance to crash on load, regardless of location or number of mods.

Keep a named save in the prison cell before starting (or just after leaving the vault finishing the opening dungeon with your choice of Stormcloak prick or Imperial prick, if you don't use LAL (weirdo  :P  )). Load that first upon starting Skyrim up and then load the game you're actually playing.

Really? I never used to have a problem with that back when I was running un-modded Skyrim... dozens of hours and no crash on load. If it's an engine issue, it's probably exacerbated by your computing power, then... my computer's pretty good, so I never noticed.

Good suggestion.

What I normally do is "coc qasmoke" from the main menu and then load my game.

Are you being rude about my PC? ;)

Whatevs, I can ALT+TAB to my heart's content from fullscreen mode so  :P

I've been there. It was horrible. I have loads of clothing and armour mods where the creator has put a vendor in there. It's like Purgatory or a under-attended music festival or something.

Didn't know you could do that from the main menu though.

Quake IV let you press quickload before the title menu had even appeared. That was progress, back in 2004 or whenever anyway.

Touche.  :D

It does seem to be a popular spot for modders to put stuff.

My feeling is, if you can't be bothered to find some place in the world to put your items, and you want to put them into a small self-contained cell, why not make your own? Just duplicate something like the azura voice cell (what I did for Reward Your Followers, that's where the poor doomed testing NPCs live out their days in mindlessness) and put your stuff there?

As for putting vendors in the test cell, I've seen that too. That one I don't get at all... if you're going to hide stuff in an unreachable cell, why not put it in a box? Adding a vendor just seems like unnecessary work.

Didn't know you could do that from the main menu though.

I just recently learned about that myself. Handy.

But it counts as starting a new game that way anyway.

EDIT: I just barely now, looking at the screenshot, noticed that I misspelled "Marcurio." Ugh.

AND I MISSPELLED "FOLLOWERS" IN THE DOWNLOAD! GAH!

I blame my keyboard. Some of the keys (actually, most of the keys) are getting loose and not clicking properly. The little dots under the F and J keys are completely rubbed off (insert your own "rubbing one out" joke here) which makes it hard to type.

All in all, it's time for a new keyboard.

Excuses, excuses.

My keyboard's a french one, installed as british english so maybe 20% of the keys don't correspond to what's written on them and you don't see me typing leqningless nonsensicql gibberish.

[niche joke]

Although I have to apologise, I've been meaning to point out the Mercurio typo through the various tests and completely forgotten.

Sorry.

Please Please Help Me!

Alright, I've been at this for 5 hours now. I really didn't want to have to post a newb question on here but I don't know what else to do at this point. The sex animations never start when I start the dialogue, they just stand there naked. They aren't frozen or in the half-T position or anything, just standing idle naked. I have been to multiple forums, re-read the mod descriptions, and re-organized the mod order multiple times but nothing has worked.

Mod's I have downloaded (that I think are mostly relevant to this from what i've read):

- skse

- SkyUI

- XP32 Maximum Skeleton - XPMS

- SexLab1.60

- SexLab Aroused (I don't think its the redux, could that be the problem?)

- FNIS Behavior V5_4_2

- FNIS Spells V5_0_1

- the "Reward Your Followers" LoversLab mod

- "Fuz Ro D'oh" for dialogue support

So now i'm just at a loss. I'm fairly new to modding so im sorry if the answer to this problem is completely obvious and im just not seeing. If someone can, please help me. I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you disabled a large number of animations in Sexlab? Some followers won't sex properly if you've disabled a lot.

What race is your follower? Specifically, are you using a non-vanilla follower with a non-vanilla race? To be clear, it *should* work fine, but I'm just confirming...

You have downloaded FNIS, but have you run FNIS?

It shouldn't matter whether it's Sexlab Aroused or Redux, both should work fine. If you do think this might be an issue, you could try version v3a instead of the newest v4a (v3a doesn't have arousal support).

This mod is compiled against Sexlab 1.59c, not 1.60, that could be the issue... Try downloading Sexlab 1.59c instead (most [all?] mods here on LL currently use 1.59c, not the 1.6 alpha). This one is the one I think most likely is the problem...

Could you attach your papyrus log too? That'll help me narrow things down...

EDIT: Also, depending on your computer's processing power, there could be a substantial delay between the undressing and the sex (a while back, I was running a lot of script-heavy mods at the same time, and it took almost 30 seconds for sex to begin a couple of times).

How long do they stand there? Have you tried waiting a while? I'd say that if you're waiting any longer than ten seconds or so, even if sex eventually does start it's too long.

EDIT 2: Do me a favor... download and install the Sexlab Matchmaker mod and cast the spells, see if any of that works. If that one also gives you problems, then it's not Reward Your Followers but instead something else (again, I think most likely it's that you're using an alpha Sexlab version and not the current supported one).

EDIT 3: A full load order might (or might not) help too.

Thank you so much for the response first of all! So I tried SexLab Matchmaker and the spells didn't do anything either so I guess I should download SexLab1.59c. But before I do that I came upon this error message from LOOT that said:

"Error: FNIS_SexLab_List.txt is not installed. Animations of mod wont be added in the FNIS list and wont be work in game. Before install through Wrye Bash Bain you should choise 'Override Skips' option for archive of this mod in the 'Installers' tab."

Again I'm not too good with modding yet so I'm not sure what this means, but if that's what wrong here do you know how I could fix it? I'm guessing it has something to do with the sexlab1.60 alpha version so would you still suggest I get the other one? Thank you so much for you time. Oh and uh... i'm sorry i'm not too sure how to get the papyrus log...

Use SexLab 1.59c.

Run FNIS for Users:

..\\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe

After running FNIS Update Behavior, run Consistency Check.

Actually, now it sounds more like a FNIS problem now than a Sexlab problem. You should run FNIS, as Thermius suggests:

Use SexLab 1.59c.

Run FNIS for Users:

..\\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe

After running FNIS Update Behavior, run Consistency Check.

For future reference, instructions on how to enable logging are located in the tech support forums. This thread gives explicit instructions (it's not hard at all).

EDIT: Note that if you're using Mod Organizer, you may have to jump through a couple of smallish hoops to get FNIS to work properly, depending on your setup. There are a great many threads (like this one) that tell you how.

Hope it all works out!

ok so downloading the 1.59c version helped with the LOOT error but now they dont even stand naked they just go through the dialogue. So yeah I went and did the consistency check and it says all the animations are missing now. Did I do something wrong?

Posted

I had exactly this problem with a different mod a few days ago and it was because I had an older version of FNIS. It was only by a x.x.1 increment but that was enough to cause this problem.

I have no clue, but this...

Seems reasonable. You did say you're using 5.4.2, though, which is the most recent version (and the one I'm using, and it works for me).

Just to double check, after you installed Sexlab 1.59c, you re-ran FNIS for users? You must run FNIS every single time you install or change any mod that adds or changes animations.

And when you start a new game, you do register animations in the Sexlab MCM, right?

Also, are you using NSAP? In Sexlab 1.59c, if you enable all animations in NSAP, you'll hit higher than the maximum (125) limit which disables some animations from triggering... if you're using NSAP, try disabling a bunch of NSAP animations (remember to re-register afterward) and see if that helps.

Is this mod compatible with multi follower mods? I use Amazing Follower Tweaks.

Thank you :)

I've gotten mixed reports about compatibility (mostly positive).

In general, it should be compatible with everything. AFT should be fine. I don't use it, so I can't guarantee that, but it *should* be fine.

Let me know, eh? :)

Wow thanks for the quick response! I downloaded it in the meantime to try it out. Is there something I'm supposed to do to get the dialogue option to show up? I'm not seeing the option with any of my followers. I have the required mods and it installed OK, I see it under mod configuration. My followers are all vanilla except one. I did loot too. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. =P

Previous versions (v3a and before) had the dialogue show up depending on time. v4 and above have it show up based on arousal (yours and your follower's).

In the MCM, under the "arousal settings" page, you'll find a whole bunch of sliders.

Vanilla followers are on the left, and you'll need to set it to the specified amount.

For example, if your follower is Jenassa, find her slider and set it to whatever value you want. Also set your own, or non-vanilla followers, on the right.

Dialogue options will only show up if your and the NPC's arousal is higher than the specified amount.

So if you want the dialogue to always be available, for example, set all values to zero. :)

EDIT: Ehh... I'm kind of tired, not sure if I'm making sense right now.

In short - set the "arousal settings" values to a lower number and the dialogue should show up.

If it doesn't, it's a bug... let me know?

Ah thank you! It works no bugs. :) I tried it on Jenessa and when we were done, while my armor was still appearing back on me, she said "I've seen enough put your clothes back on!" It was too funny. Haha.

Thanks again!

Hi, first of all, thanks for the great mod.

I'd like to try translating your mod, but being a noob I'm not quite sure how to open up and edit your mod's text. Could you help me with this?
