A method to confront the spouse would be nice.  Perhaps as a non-violent solution to ending the affair.  No idea how difficult it would be to implement, though.

 

Probably. I need to fix these crashes/get married/find more time first.

 

A quick question:

How do I get two NPC lovers registered on Lover's Comfort?

 

I just made two vanilla NPCs lovers by creating a 'relationship' between them within CK(wife & husband). However, they are not registered on the mod's internal list at all. Do I have to wait for a while, or is there something I am missing here?

 

If they don't appear in the MCM list it's not down to their relationship. A papyrus log would have more info.

It's not a Skyrim crash - it's the graphics driver crashing and recovering. I figure it's either my graphics card being too old and AMD not fully supporting it with the Crimson drivers (and pretending they do), or I fucked up the ENB install.

 

I ran the latest FLC for a good while crash-free on an even older AMD/Radeon laptop, so I'm hoping it's the ENB, particularly as I don't really want the expense of a new card right now.

I've got a problem. MCM shows that Vex and Tonilia should be comforting each other, but they only initiate the dialogue, get up from their beds and stand there looking at each other. I can interact with them as usual. There's not much more to say. Got the papyrus log here:

As far as graphic driver crashes go, y'all should keep in mind that if you run nVidia drivers and the latest version of Windows 10, they're not gonna be compatible.  You run the risk of a system service exception error, like I just did. Might be a bit before that issue gets worked out.

 

Doesn't sound like the problem Quisling's having, though.

Me neither. I bet it's something else going on. I don't have the latest, latest drivers, but the ones I do have haven't given me any problems that I've noticed.

My computer told me the specific file that caused the system service exception error, and a google search from a tech-savvy friend (I only had a phone available as a result of the crash) said the results pointed to this being a very recent problem resulting from the latest update on Windows 10.  It didn't happen right away, either, I got a couple games in before the crash happened, and the drivers have been a little touchy ever since.  Just thought it'd be fair warning for the rest of you.

So I finally got them all registered on the MCM list, and dialogue comes in, and they wake up... and they go back to sleep.

As far as graphic driver crashes go, y'all should keep in mind that if you run nVidia drivers and the latest version of Windows 10, they're not gonna be compatible.  You run the risk of a system service exception error, like I just did. Might be a bit before that issue gets worked out.

 

Doesn't sound like the problem Quisling's having, though.

 

Nope. Only Nvidia card I have is in an old Atom thing that I use as a media server.

No. Make sure you put the files in the right places.

 

Or try the latest version, which should have them already there.

I downloaded the latest version, installed it with Nexus Mod Manager. Still, no positive effect. Maybe it has something to do with the actors being members of the Thieves Guild?

By the way, I'd like to point out that this whole scenario of Dirge and Tonilia having sex completely breaks the immersion, because Dirge is known to chastise Tonilia for cheating on Vekel. Maybe some exceptions should be added - like Tonilia only having sex with Vekel, Brynjolf and maybe Vex; Vex refusing to have sex with Delvin; and Sapphire - with Vipir.

I played with the rc11, the swinging was ok, I had the ring dialogue with a husband or a wife, inside, with a follower with me, not a wife.

Now with the the 20160114 and the 20160116, no more ring dialogue or a "want to swing ?" (inside with husband+ his wife+ my follower (not a wife) + NPC swinging thresold at 0).

Comfort with collared slaves is ok with Comfort Arousal Thresold at 0.

Is it a problem on my install ? Am I alone to have this problem ?

Do I need now a wife and not just a follower for the swinging ?

No. Make sure you put the files in the right places.

 

Or try the latest version, which should have them already there.

I downloaded the latest version, installed it with Nexus Mod Manager. Still, no positive effect. Maybe it has something to do with the actors being members of the Thieves Guild?

Here's a papyrus log of Dirge and Tonilia trying to comfort each other (they just stood there not doing anything)

 

By the way, I'd like to point out that this whole scenario of Dirge and Tonilia having sex completely breaks the immersion, because Dirge is known to chastise Tonilia for cheating on Vekel. Maybe some exceptions should be added - like Tonilia only having sex with Vekel, Brynjolf and maybe Vex; Vex refusing to have sex with Delvin; and Sapphire - with Vipir.

 

 

I have checked if there is a similar problem with other NPCs in my game. Turns out everything is ok. Visited the Battle-Borns, they're getting it on just fine. Here's an excerpt from my log:

 

Did you install the patch/new version after they first stopped? They may be stuck in some state that stops them now. I'll add a clean-up function in the next version. In the meantime you can try seeing if either of the two scene quests are running: 00_LoversComfortScene00 and 00_LoversComfortScene01 and “stopquest” them via the console. You can also check if they're in the “Comfort Meeting” faction and remove them if they are.

 

I played with the rc11, the swinging was ok, I had the ring dialogue with a husband or a wife, inside, with a follower with me, not a wife.

Now with the the 20160114 and the 20160116, no more ring dialogue or a "want to swing ?" (inside with husband+ his wife+ my follower (not a wife) + NPC swinging thresold at 0).

Comfort with collared slaves is ok with Comfort Arousal Thresold at 0.

Is it a problem on my install ? Am I alone to have this problem ?

Do I need now a wife and not just a follower for the swinging ?

 

The swinging criteria haven't changed from RC11. ’14 was just a version number change, and ’16 added the calls to SexLab I'd forgotten.

Well, I think I even did a clean install of the mod and re-entered the cell from several different saves done on different days. I could try creating a different character altogether and see if the problem persists. I'll check the scenes.

So now I'm completely out of ideas. I've uninstalled all mods that have anything to do with sex (except SL framework and SLA of course) and all mods that modified the Thieves Guild in any way. I've created a new character, installed the newest version of your mod and went to the Ragged Flagon. Nothing. The dialogue initiates, they stand up and don't do anything. Even hours later when the scene should have been finished, they still stand around "comforting".

While I was there, I checked 00_LoversComfortScene00 and 00_LoversComfortScene01 - they weren't running, and removed Vex and Tonilia from the “Comfort Meeting” faction (I don't know how to check if they are in it or not).

Please, if anyone would check if they have a similar problem, I'd be VERY grateful.

 

UPDATE: So I was just playing, because I was tired of trying to fix this bug, and Vex and Dirge decided they wanted to have sex. So as they were standing around as usual, I left the Ragged Flagon and went to sleep in the Cistern for 9 hours. When I returned to the Flagon, Vex and Dirge were lying on the floor in completely different places, fully clothed and making humping motions. They didn't look like they were going to stop, so I went to the SexLab MCM menu and clicked "stop all animations" (or something like that). It did nothing. Then I just disabled and enabled them both via console. That stopped the animation.

Alright :) Just thought you should know.

I tried it a few ways of using/not using them together and nope can't do both on a new game. 

Don't know what's causing it but its straight to desktop.

Normal version is still ok though :) Just doesn't work at all.
