For some reason I do not have a Selfie Option under phone. I have looked everywhere but I haven't found a solution. Is there a setting that must be activated? My sim has the Exhibitionist skill at lvl 6 and the exhibitionist trait. I'll post screenshots of the options I have.

Update... Using her son from the previous rapist... Who she killed for giving the baby a bottle when she was at the food processor, preparing grilled cheese for the baby.

These are the lowest stats a rapist seems to need to rape someone.

That's really strange.

 

Your menu doesn't look anything like mine.  I don't have a "Cell Phone" menu - it's "Smart Phone."  It's got a "Camera..." submenu.  That's where the "Take Kinky selfie" option is supposed to appear.

 

 

The only thing I can think of is that you've got a really outdated mod somewhere that was made before the cell phone was updated (or that you're not patched up to 1.67/1.69, but if that were the case I imagine KW would have a lot more problems than just selfies missing).

Good info to have.  Of course, all that might change with the next update, if the changelog is to be believed.  I wonder if having the masochist trait makes it more likely to lose the fight?

 

Oh, and has your sim considered anger management courses?

As spauldo pointed out you have a cell phone, not the smartphone required to take selfies (kinky or otherwise).

 

Cell phones are the default, but if you have University Life active Sims get Smartphones. There's a possible third type of phone for future sims if you are using Into the Future.

 

kanne28, if you do have University Life active but aren't getting smartphones, something is amiss. Might be a corrupted install or save, might be some mod side effect, might be something else.

 

Assuming you have the expansion installed and active, try clearing caches, starting a new test game, or deactivating Univerisity Live and reactivating it.

 

One thing that won't  be affecting it is your exhibitionist skill - even unskilled Sims can take kinky selfies if horny enough. But it's clear that the problem here is not having a smartphone rather than anything specific to KW itself.

I always figured it came in with the University patch like so many other features advertised in EPs.  I've never played without University (it took that long to get over the amount of money I spent on Sims 2 and all its expansions).

Correct. Smartphones are part of the content, not the patch. I usually play with it, but as with all expansions I'll switch it off if it's not relevant to the scenario I'm playing out.

I had a problem with this for a while. I have two bedrooms, each with a double bed, and two bathrooms, and they would never use the beds. Random sims would wander into the rooms and sleep on the beds, so I thought everything was fine with the routing.

 

I did a slight remodel of the house for some reason or other, and ended up making the rooms slightly larger and making the bathrooms slightly larger. After that, they suddenly started using the beds and the bathrooms. Turns out I did have routing issues, either with the space around the beds or with the space in the bathrooms.

 

Now, they still also do it in the middle of the living room, or even outside on the ground (even in the middle of snow or rain), but they also use the rooms, too.

High Chair, food processor, plate of grilled cheese served...

Put the baby (ok Toddler, they are still still a baby) in the high chair, click and choose "Serve food", what ever is sitting out on the counter/table will be included in what can be served.

The "Blocked" one usually means there is something near the location preventing its use. I usually see that when I try to get them to woohoo on a counter and there is a light fixture directly above it.

 

As KW is a "work in progress", a lot of the notifications have generic placeholder messages. Oniki is a native French speaker, and has not spent much time on writing story like messages for some of the events in the game, so it just shows a generic placeholder message. The multi-lingual support for Sims 3 uses the generic message class and the configured language choice to look up a translation of the message. Without the translations for the message installed, it will show the default generic message.

Yeah, the toddlers can get whatever benefit the meal provides. Try serving ambrosia, or a perfect lobster thermidor. They get a huge mood boost for 8 hours.

Well, if it changes, I will know fairly quickly... I kicked the son out of the house

 

My sim has doesn't have to worry about anger management, cause she gets angry and deals with the problem then.

Fully upgraded food replicator (into the future), level 4, all added recipes, Maxed skills... Yeah, she always serves up perfect meals

Thank you for the explanation  My game's language is set to English.. but hey as long as it means i've installed the mod properly and didn't screw anything up.. I don't mind it!

Are you getting a pop-up window that says you have a modification that does not match the current version of The Sims 3? (like the screenshot here)? You can ignore that. I always do, and have not have problems because of it. If everything is fine except for when you install the KW packages, you should not have any problems. If you are worried about it, make a backup copy of your "Electronic Arts\The Sims 3" folder before starting the game and clicking on "Continue".

I haven't seen that message since I reinstalled Sims 3 through Origin.

I have never seen that popup. But I've always either played through Origin or Steam (I've ended up owning both...)

I've never seen that message, and I installed from the disks and declined to install Origin every time it asked.

 

What are you patched to?  You should be on 1.67 or 1.69.

Is it possible to be able to trigger the woohoo animations anytime with anyone you want without the sims being all like " I don't want to do that" ?  Without having to pay attention to the skill or the sims mood?  Like in Wickedwhims for The Sims 4 there is an option that let you ignore the sex skill or relationship requirements and just start it anytime.
