Queen Bee Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 The Queen is back! I hope you missed me. ♡(•ི̛ᴗ•̛)ྀ I apologize to those who did. Real life called me away, and I got caught up in a few things that demanded my full attention. The first of those is... I said yes! Aside from that, I quit my job, and we moved to a nice small town. No more city life for us! We frankly got sick of it and needed a change. I now teach 5th grade (a huge change from 3rd, let me tell you!) in a small school on the very same block we live on, and we've been spending the past few months getting settled in. I don't know if I can be a regular on the site again, but at the very least thought I'd pop back in and say hi, let everyone know I'm not dead. Quite the opposite, life is going really well for me now. So, uh...how's everyone else?

LordJerle Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Congrats! I grew up in a small town and now live in a big city (people here disagree, but it's way too big to me. I miss being able to cross town on foot in 15 minutes). I'd love to go back to small town living, but atm, it's not exactly financially plausible.

Heh, well...when I say 'small town', I'm comparing it to NYC, where we used to live. I doubt we'd be able to walk across it in 15 minutes. We did enjoy the city, and we're not so far away that we can't visit semi-regularly, but there's a quality to living there that just sort of wore at us. I think we really just needed to get away before it hardened us for life. We're compassionate people, and we need to stay that way, myself especially. I think I was starting to get a bit too cynical, and Boyfriend (or I guess I should say 'Fiance' now) and I agreed a move would do us some good. And you know, it really, really has.
