Meteox Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Thanks for the update Shocky, some of us really do appreciate the work that goes into the mod. Indeed. I don't think any sane person would go and mark such beautiful work as stolen, but then that would mean there are a bunch of insane people out there.

It's the Streisand Effect -- the more they try to bring it down, the more it generates greater attention.
Dubhorizon Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Hello everyone. I didn't know this hair pack, and looks awesome. I downloaded it from post #2 and instaled. Works great, and looks better once you use it. Even I found a hairstyle that fits perfectly with a follower that I'm creating these days (at least, fits with the 'personality' that I'm looking for her). The matter begins at this point: there are no .tri files, so I can't include them to perform the stand-alone follower version. Just only can input the .nif files (the only ones that I see in the folder), but there is no .tri file to complete it. Did I missed anything? Or is really possible to use a hair without a tri. file (cause the fact is the pack really works on Skyrim, without it)? Is a pity, because I really love that hair for my new follower, but how can I solve that .tri file lack? I have the same problem with you. No tri files. I will try the 400 version. Hopefully that's fixed. Edit. Nope. Still no tri files even on the loose version. I don't get how they can appear normal at the character creation and then just not that good on followers.
Dubhorizon Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 @Shocky Could you please release their tri files, for people that want to use them on their followers? It severely limits the options to the hairstyles that hide the forehead only. Any other hairstyle, that shows the forehead, when applied to a follower will just not look like part of the head. It looks like a badly placed wig clipping with the head.

Sorry, there are no plans for .tri files in future, you could just copy one .tri file from a hairstyle that has it, and rename it to the hair you use, and it'll work. 11 more mirrors malware. You should read before clicking that "Download" button, and use AdBlock if you don't know how to download.

That's ok, gonna try with vanilla hairstyle tri first, see if it works It's awesome to know I can still use them. There's so many hairstyles from your hairpack that look amazing.
Bloodfang Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Shocky, I would like to thank you for this, not only it's the best pack I've seen and used but you can feel there's work & sweat put on it. No surprise about the nexus admins being douches, that's their role I guess after all. Too bad for them. Thanks for sharing this with us
winny257 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 it does not belong here, but I think this hair pack also worth mentioning.to a certain art "funny". syedz9914 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 why the links from the post either got banned/deleted?
winny257 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 why the links from the post either got banned/deleted? I suspect it was links by private-users the memory in Mega or Mediafire for other purposes needed who have. I make it incidentally also so, I lets a link maximum of four weeks standing. edit: large companies, such as "nexus and LL" have a lot more options (larger memory capacity) as can be preserved mods for years.
D_ManXX2 Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Why would you use the bsa when it is twice as big? I don't get it. It is only twice as big packed, cause you cannot pack bsa with winrar/7zip that good. The loose files will be bigger unpacked. Plus, .bsa's have better ingame performance than loose files. not true, the real problem is it needs to unpack before it can use it in-game. That is how .bsa always worked. but it will use more cpu and drive space and ultimately making it choppy. This is very noticeable when you have many .bsa installed instead loose version. Also loose version overrides .bsa files so .bsa is not always advisable.

androidcd Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I only knew apachii skyhair until today. Just checked out the hairstyles in race menu and I can say that this mod is way better than apachii. Vilkas and Farkas, get ready for a major makeover!!!
l30 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Found a link and it's relatively fast. Get it before this one disappears too.

It has no need to "unpack" the data since it is not going to be editing or modifying those files in any form or shape on disk. BSA is ALWAYS advisable for ANY mod that has a LARGE amount of assets (meshes/textures) this is because the game now only needs to locate 1 file instead of 100+. This DRASTICALLY cuts down on asset load time. (Expecially if your on a Hard Drive, SSD's still gain the benefit but it is diminished.) This here is a major reason why every game out there has there files packed in some manner. And is also good modding etiquette to provide for users. Though BSA is a PITA if your a modder and want to edit stuff all the time, it's also not going to show you much if any improvements for small things like scripts/interface stuff.
hephannon Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 WTF with this damn hair mod, impossible to find, it's like AQ was involved ! If someone can pm me a working link pls ...

Kalilies Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Ugh. Guess we'll remove Kewai-Dou's hairs (for public links) in the future.
Majin Buu Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Found a link and it's relatively fast. Get it before this one disappears too. Still working and is fast. Only took a couple minutes to download 550 mb file. It's the .esp and .bsa file. Have to register to download. Are we not allowed to re-upload it here in LL for others?
R4RED Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Checked the multiple mirrors and I compared some of them...I'm confused which is the latest one, but I'm gonna take the 900 MB(fileshare link) and the one from tesall.ru. Hot damn some of these hairs are good. I'm used to these kinds of wanton abandon download services and their somewhat dubious(half of them give viruses through their ".exe" programs...gah i hate those.) so I can bear with it.

From what I understand they are all the same. Some are loose while others are packed into .bsa file. The loose isn't compressed so it comes out larger.

At least I know some are just different.
