So, I've installed the mod, and the courier doesn't bring a letter to start the mod.  I have a clean save, with a couple of other mods that deliver letters in that save as soon as I enter a hold, so it's not a courier spawn issue.  Just in case I tried the usual running between holds, sleeping, and waiting dance to get the courier to spawn later, and it did no good.  Any suggestions or a way to start the mod without the letter?

 

 

 

Try going to Windhelm Stables, go down into the water under the bridge that leads Windhelm. Cross the river, come up the shore on left side, hug the wall, look for a trap door on the snow.

 

 

Not sure what effects it will have on the quest tho

Thanks, I was able to get to the casino and enter it, but there's no quest activation for doing that.  When just entering without the quest, the losing side seems to bug out, as the guard tells you you need to leave, walks to the lobby door.  Then nothing happens.

 

Also, the numbers you read from the dice and cards were off in my game.  I rolled a 3 on the die in the table, the game said I rolled a 4.  I had an 8 and queen in blackjack, the game counted it as 19.

 

As for the games, they do need to run faster.  I'd suggest letting the player set a high/low option for the dice, then letting the player continue to roll with that option.  When talking to the dice guy, you then have the option to either change you to the other option, or to stop playing.  For blackjack, you could have the two cards delt directly from the start, which would help, then have each player get all their cards in a row, instead of switching between players.

This mod has a lot of promise and is a very good start! There are some parts of the implementation I don't really like.

 

First off, the starter quest is a bit annoying.

You start out getting a letter from someone you've never heard of saying they don't know where else to turn. If we assume the player character is already a famous hero, fair enough, that works, but if the player is still weak and obscure at this point, I guess that's a minor plot hole. It asks you to travel to Falkreath...

There was too much unnecessary inter-city travel. First you travel to Falkreath, get the quest, travel to Riften, where you find the base and a set of instructions telling you where to go... but you can't go there until you go all the way back to Falkreath to check in, and then you have to travel to the base near Windhelm. It was the second [entirely unnecessary, by the way] trip to Falkreath where I started using console commands because inter-city travel can be long and annoying. It'd be far better if you consolidated everything from being spread over half the map into a single point. It especially doesn't make any sense for the Windhelm entrance to be so far from the Riften room... exactly how big IS this underground casino? Does it sprawl the entire map?

 

 

When I did make it to the casino though, I was impressed. You did a really good job on that one, the dialogue was very well written. Could be improved though. Right now it seems very big and empty... I don't think that's what you were going for. I think it'd be better to fix the "big" part than the "empty", though; the entrance doorways are literally holes in the ground, but the place they lead to looks more "rich and fancy" than "sketchy underground den". The rules book should probably reach the floor with you, and maybe say "roll" where it says "role" right now. I did also find clicking through the dice and blackjack dealers' dialogue slow... the dice, it would be nice if you added "High" and "Low" as opening dialogue after your first game, so you can click "high" right when you start talking to him, would be a big help. Help speed things a bit. I did find the gaming to be a bit slow... after several rounds of everything, I still had more or less as many tokens as I came in with, and was getting impatient. Not being allowed to leave [why?] especially made this bad. My character was in serious danger of starving to death since you didn't have any food implemented [and any I carried was taken from me!], and I had to turn off Frostfall to keep the stolen booze from freezing me. Allowing the player to leave or giving them food, drink and heat sources would make things better on those who use survival mods. Eventually I just dropped all my tokens just so something new would happen.

 

I also had trouble getting the dialogue with the mistress working.

The first route I tried was obedience in all messages; my "reward" animation never played. Second time, I opened with "I understand", which was also broken. After the punishment, I was asked to kneel, and I chose to submit. I forget whether or not I knelt, but nothing happened afterwards. Third try, well, I just flipped out and cast Flames on her. She was VERY weak, but essential. Ah well, I have defeat installed, I can rob her of her key and run my naked liberation campaign through the sex dungeons! Oh, no key. Okay, console the door then. Script prevents me from reaching the door. Fair enough, I wasn't supposed to be doing that anyways, most slave mods don't allow mastercide. Reload, try the dialogue a few more times, and I only managed to get it work through the skooma path.

I was freed after two jobs, which had two issues; 1) this implies that one prositution job and one dance scene are worth 6000 gold to the casino, and 2) you got your job even if you only slept for one or two hours; I was done with slavery in 5 hours total. Bit anticlimactic.

 

All that said, though, this is a very good mod. I like how you gave all the NPCs something to say, and how well all their dialogue fit. There was one guy who thought I was naked when I wasn't and talked about how "another has fallen into the trap" and that "he warned me" in my first dialogue with him, but everyone else was good. Thanks for making it!

 

 

 

Thanks for all the feedback I really appreciate it and I agree with a most of what your saying but ill try to explain my reasoning a little. The intro quest was my very first attempt at modding and was mainly used as a way to explain some of the personality behind the casino as well as to direct you to the casino in a rp friendly way. I realize its not very impressive, but it wasn't meant to be. I still like the idea of using a letter to bring the character to the quest because its the easiest way to direct your character to the quest in an rp friendly way. The alternative is because YOU saw this post on this website your character knows to randomly stop at the falkreath inn and randomly talk to this person, and that seems equally unreasonable. I made the wording pretty generic as I was aware of this issue and didn't want to make assumptions. You can see I never reference the character as the dragonborn. I could probably make the wording less assuming though. As for the fast traveling back and forth between riften and falkreath I agree its tedious and i'll cut that out. The riften base is just an outpost, it's not connected to the casino at windhelm. The casino is rather large but I plan on filling it up so it won't seem so empty. The lighting is poor and I'll try to fix that as well. The entrance to the casino as a whole in the ground was meant mainly as a placeholder because its hard to find a good piece of real estate in skyrim thats not used by another mod already. I can see how the dialogue for the games can get tedious as well and i'll try and cut it down for repeat visits. I hadn't considered the food and heat sources as I don't use survival mods but I can certainly add those as well. I guess about half the people who have responded have reported issues with scenes in the dungeon and half said it worked fine. This will probably be the hardest thing for me to find a solution to as I imagine it has more to do with peoples computers and how many script heavy mods they are running than anything on the mods end. I'll try to just space out the scripted scenes/events in a way that may be less taxing. As for only doing 2 jobs the message you get after you are released implies you worked for a much longer time, I just didn't want to hold your character for weeks on end. You also mentioned that the dialogue could be improved. I agree and would love for someone who felt capable in that department to improve it, as whats in there is probably the best anyone's going to get from me. Again thanks for the feedback this is exactly what i was looking for.

 

Maybe some sort of strip poker or perhaps if you run out of tokens at the black jack table you can get 3 more in a 3-way.maybe one of the table games can be a fight table like in Guardians of the galaxy where two creatures fight on the table and you bet on the winner. This one is a major stretch but there is another mod called skyball which is basically American football/rugby/feetball and you wager on the games. A few games of skill could be very fun, steal the targets from Angi and turn it into an accuracy test or maybe even the moving targets from Amethyst Hollows. Just a few suggestions ,I can think of more but I realize there is a lot to think about.

 

 

 

I like the idea of strip poker but it would be pretty hard to implement. I assume you will have 4 pieces of clothing: head, chest, shoes, and gloves. You ante up to play then have to bet each round. After one loss your out of clothes. I would like to implement poker in some form but it's going to be a lot of work for probably little return so I'm not sure if I will. I like the idea of having 2 creatures fight and betting on which one wins. The football one is unrealistic for me to make. My original thought was to have all the games be games of chance and try to keep win rates at around 50%, but I guess I've already steered away from that with blackjack and it seems like people want more control over win rate anyways.

Edit: Didn't see your last post as I was typing this one out but the dice value that pops up currently is unlikely to show the number of the face up side of the dice as the two are actually independent of each other. The card should show the correct number however and I imagine the problem is I just labeled the queens value as 11 instead of 10. Thanks for the comments.

Edit: Didn't see your last post as I was typing this one out but the dice value that pops up currently is unlikely to show the number of the face up side of the dice as the two are actually independent of each other. I tried that, but the stage 20 of the quest bugged out because I don't have the letter, so it told me to follow the instructions in [...]

 

I tried jumping ahead, and there was no active dialogue after each jump, so it didn't work at all.

a suggestion about the mini-games: why not using the same games a second time but with raising the stakes?, e.g. a second slot-machine whre you can loose 2 tokens in one game, but win on the other side 4 or 6. That can speed up things a little. 

 

And it would be cool if you can spend your tokens for other things - a dance from the dancer, a bottle of skooma from one of the guests, or sell it to a desperate player. At the moment i found it hard to lose all my tokens ;-)

Unfortunately, I had a lot of bugs during my test of this mod (very interesting concept by the way, love the skooma’s whore use.), and I don’t think it’s my game.

Of course, I have the requirement and the optional requirement, so it’s not in this way that you can looke.

A listing of my bugs:

-The quest won’t progress: The objective forward but it’s not necessarily the same in the journal.

-The quest which brutally stop (the first objective in Casino Royal is impossible to done).

-The only PNJ with I success to interact are the men who want to violate my ass and the girl who give you the skooma (in infinite quantity?). The others talk but it never leads to an event.

-The mistress stayed at the entry door, she never walked up to me, I had to cheat (opening the prison’s door, avoid the scripted back, and talk to her.) (after, no more bug)

-My stuff have never been return to me, I always finish naked with nothing in my gear, in the middle of the snow.

-When the guards come to evict me and I did not drink skooma, it nothing happens, I am just stuck in the room with no option to play or leave. (I guess a guard open the door to let you go out, but nothing happen when they touch the door)

-Some other minor bugs

And I’m actually with Morning Star as ENB, and it’s rather dark, maybe you could add some light to make the object and PNJ more noticeable. (We don’t see the symbol of the one-armed bandit, and nothing in the room with the “enjoyable girl”.)

Seems like the quest stage when entering the actual casino is stuck. I gave the entry guy a blowjob to get the loan, and the quest seems to be stuck there.

 

I like the mod concept but seems to need work.

I can confirm that downgrading from 1.59c to 1.59b makes the blowjob for a loan, and the guard door transitions work.  I still don't get the letter the start the quest, but the actual casino content all seems to work fine.

There is a conflict between your mod and others.

 

I try with Dark investiguations :

Every time a DI animation ends, the player appears near the entrance of the casino, with a "lost" message.

grey head bug for all npc's in the casino, unfortunately it also affect some normal npc at markarth the 3 miners, disabling this mod fix the problem, overall gj.

 

the female slave trainer is also glitch out she doesnt move to open the cell door, i used moveto player to force the quest to continue.

I have to say, I hope u continue this mod, and expand it to what you have in mind. I enjoyed the dialogues and the area. Really good mod. I think its already been mentioned but the one thing that I found a tad silly was the scene that occured in Riften despite the casino being near windhelm =/.

 

But great work, keep it up!

This is a really neat concept and mod.   In may game I was unable to get past the removal from the Casino.  I think because of Skoom Whore.  I got a dialogue which allows me to get an additional token, get the token, but then cannot get approached or dialogue to continue.  Can you provide me with the step so I can try to continue.  Some people have put different stages to help people testing to get through troubled areas.

 

I really like the mod so far and hope you will continue.  It would be really neat if it could build up where in addition to the secret Casino you built a Casino complex kind of like Captured Dreams (with others help of course).

 

I like the idea of the incorporated Strip club which can tie to Skooma and prostitution.  Also can have add for a game additional one arm bandits, or a slave trade outside.  That was all to agressive but I hope you continue your work.  Thanks.

This is very nice and very well done. I think, though, there is too much free space in that casino....more gambling tables and npcs are needed, imho
and perhaps some other stuff that happen when you get enslaved

This mod looks very promising. However, I am experiencing the bug that's been reported by a few people where the message saying that I've run out of tokens and need to find more soon comes up, but the guards never do anything. Is there a way to manually trigger the guards event using the console?

EDIT: The save file that I was using before was holding a couple of quest essential items that weren't removed on entry. I loaded a fresh save that had never progressed in this mod, removed those essential items, and got down to no tokens and it worked. Something to look into if nothing else. Thanks for your work on this mod, Kickinit09.

I've found out this mod by chance, it is very original and interesting. I quite liked it. It should be on the downloads section so more people can see it. (Sorry if it's already there and I can't see it.)
